Owner's Profile
Owner Description
My husband and I chose to move to Costa Rica in l990 and raise our 2 daughters here in a tropical environment with less modern technology and influences. Since then, Jaco has grown to be the most popular tourist area in the country, but on arrival a simple life amoungst the friendly local people has made us very welcome in their community. We find it very central for doing all kinds of day trips and exploring other areas on weekend trips, enriching our children to live with another culture.
Why the Owner Chose Jaco
As our children are grown and have chosen to continue their education back in their native land, we have put our home up for rental as we are able to move around to other places and Jaco is and geared for vacationers. Our original plan was not to build a vacation home but a full time location to bring up tri-lingual children..That being completed, we can travel and offer our home so others can be comfortable while exploring in Costa Rica.

We are just finishing our 3 month stay at this wonderful house in Jaco! It was by far the best vacation we have ever had and our family of four has created fabulous memories while staying here. The house is private, yet close to town in a safe and beautiful neighborhood. It's like a little private oasis! We spent a lot of time lounging by the pool and cooking great meals in the gourmet kitchen. The house-cleaners are so nice and the property mangers were wonderful as well. The house is very comfortable and inviting and our children (12 and 13) keep saying that they never want to go back home! I can't say enough about how helpful and nice the owners Carol and Regis are, and they have created a vacation house that everyone can enjoy. I highly recommend this property. Thank you for an amazing vacation!

Upon our arrival at the airport, as promised we were met by the Zuma representative to drive us to our rental. After an exhausting flight it was nice to sit back and enjoy the drive to Jaco. We arrived at our place mid afternoon, the pictures do not do this place justice. We were met by the house manager, she gave us all kinds of great advice of do's, don'ts great places to shop and who had the best of what we were looking for. The pool man comes twice a day, the cleaning ladies twice a week, and everyone was so pleasant and accomodating. This place is a GEM if you are thinking of Jaco beach you need to book this home, it is perfect. With the pool and how close it is to everything you can't go wrong. We enjoyed everything from the Macaw's eating from the almond trees, to the Iguana's we seen in the area. Their is even a variety of activities recommended that are in a book that is great for reference and we actually booked a couple of things. The kids wents ziplining at Chiclets and they offered a great ZUMA discount you couldn't go wrong and safe with the double harness system. The BBQ worked great, we did not cook inside it was too hot, so we enjoyed the outdoors as much as possible. We would book again if we ever go back, Carol answered any questions we had so quickly and efficiently that it made things so easy for us. Thanks for a great stay.
Owner response:thank you John and Christine its nice to know that you have confided in our suggestions and service to make your Costarican vacation memorable.

My wife and son and I had an amazing vacation here. The home is very luxurious and comfortable. The pool is perfect for lazing around on those hot afternoons. The shade umbrella covers one corner of the pool allowing one to relax without getting sunburn. We took day trips to see the crocodiles, monkeys, amazing birds and wildlife. Our son learned how to surf at Jaco beach. We enjoyed a variety of local restaurants as well as eating in. You can walk to the beach in less than 10 minutes, but on those really hot days, just drive the rental car down to the beach and there is free parking at Zuma car rental (which is where the car comes from) which is only a block from the beach. The Zuma car rental people met us at the airport when we arrived and drove us back there at the end of the trip. Overall, a fantastic vacation. Book this house before someone else does!!

We (my husband, and two friends) went on a vacation the first 2 weeks of February 2010. The property is spic and span and well maintained by garderner and house cleaners. We were met and picked up at the airport, when we arrived we had someone waiting for us at the entrance to provide us the keys and explain around the property that accurately matched the photos and appearance, actually even better! All questions and concerns were answered accurately as well and we were well informed of activities and good affordable restaurants/pubs in the area Wishbone was our favorite where they serve a variety + local specialties; try their casado! Groceries close by. Taxis available for the same price anywhere in town. Walking distance from the beach, beautiful pool, fenced in property where you feel safe, if you want you could stay there and only this would be a vacation on its own, BBQ with a "Cerveza bien fria", pool, living, relaxing, litterally outdoor until bedtime!!! People in town, restaurants, were very friendly and helpful when needed. and to top it all AMAZING WEATHER! We also took advantage of visiting around - Jungle Crocodile Safari, Manuel Antonio National Park, overnight stay at Baldi Hotsprings (Volcano Arenal) and watched the sunset from an amphitheater and beautiful view on the Green mountains at Playa Herradura, and spend a morning in the Rainforest nearby. The sunsets on the beach were also breathtaking and different every night. We are thinking of going again and already recommended to friends and relatives.
