Absoulutely Fantastic Home and Owner Hospitality

I booked my vacation with Kim, she was very knowledgeable about the area. The description of the property was right-on with the listing. The photos didn't do the home justice because you are literally five minutes from the beach. If you can imagine a gated community of homes, then the beach is in the back of it. The house had more than what we need for a family of four, but we love having the extra room. Every room was well staged and maintained with fresh linens and furniture. We wanted to bring our sister's family back here for Christmas since the house will more than accommodate 8 people. The house definitely looks well cared for and updated. I love the palm trees in the front and the garage. My wife and I spent some evenings on the balcony sipping our wine and relaxing. It was great to be so close to all the attractions, such as the famous Rio Camuy Caves and Caverns and/ or w/Arecibo Observatory. There are all types attractions nearby, shopping, as well as eatery for every type of traveler. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and the great service. Thanks so much Kim for providing us with so much details and answering all of our questions and concerns. Everything turned out perfect. The kids had a wonderful time and will send you some photos!

My husband reserved this home for a 5 night stay. After reading the reviews and viewing pictures I was not expecting what I received. The home is in a great location but the maintenance is very poor. The home was not well cleaned, towels were wet, sheets were not cleaned or changed and could not find garbage bags. New towels and sheets were bought that late night. The fans and air filters were filthy and were cleaned by myself. Some of the windows can't be opened. The paint is peeling and the plaster holes are visible. The kids room is not safe. The bunk bed is coming apart and was not safe to use. The mattress was used on bare floor making it very uncomfortable. The stove did not warm up the meals and the appliance are old and not well kept. Only one room had a full dresser and a small dresser in the second room. Drawers filled with things left behind. Not suited for an asthmatic or allergic person. Overall the house experience was not so pleasant. A shame the area and neighborhood is beautiful. Everything is 5 minutes of distance. Overall the home needs some updates and to be taken care of better in the inside.

The clear blue sky; the spectacular atlantic blue-green ocean;,the clean, flesh air that we never can breathe in the city; the imposing greenery mountains; the friendly smile people; the tasty fresh food, all those things are the icing treats to the wonderful, convinient location Hatilo vacation house Everything the owner described, all exceedingly met. We were so glad for this great located rental place. We were so grateful for the concern of the owner. She arranged, explained everything in such a way that we, the tourists, didn't have to spend too much time to search. The house was cleaned and organized, the landscape was beautiful. We had everything we needed for such an awesome, relaxed, fun vacation in Puerto Rico. Thank you Hatilo!, you got everything we were looking for. We'll come back soon! Thank you, owner of a great house! :))

This property is by far the best location, friendly security staff and great neighbors. The pool is very close and defenitely is a family oriented community. The house has all the ammenities: washer/dryer, electric stove, AIR CONDITIONER and ceiling fans. All very comfortable. The beach is walking distance from the house and the mall a five minute drive. There was no hassle and pressure to committ. The propiertors are extremely kind and caring and very willing to accomodate your next vacation or visit. I HIGHLY recommend this location, you will be very happy you did.

Hatillo has some of the friendliest people I've ever met, and this compliment extends to practically every place I visited in Puerto Rico. We arrived at Hatillo rather late at night due to a delayed flight, but I was pleasantly surprised that there were several places where I could get a midnight snack. As a college student, that aspect of Hatillo already left a favorable impression on me. The owner of the property did a wonderful job in arranging everything prior to our arrival so our stay would be enjoyable. It was nice knowing after a day of fun, we could go back to an adorable house to relax. The property is spacious enough to comfortable accommodate a large family, and some other perks of the location is the gated community and a beautiful view of the Atlantic ocean. I wish I could have stayed longer, the days flew by so fast. The tranquility in the community was simply amazing. This home is wonderful and my family had a great time. Thank you Kim, your home is beautiful. My kids can't wait to return.

We visited in April of 2010. The house is beautiful & very spacious and but needs some small repairs/updates. The windows are the biggest problem..some of them don't close all the way which has caused some damage to the walls right under the windows & most of the blinds don't work. The walls could use a few pictures on them and besides the master bedroom - none of the rooms have a dresser - they do have large closets though. The gated community is very nice, the pool area is small but pretty. There is a beautiful ocean breeze that comes through the house. One draw back to the location of the house is that is has lots of BARKING dogs surrounding the house. All in all we enjoyed our stay even with the few drawbacks.

I've located a great couple that provide excellent services since. As far as the barking dog, there's nothing that I can do. The dog owner probably loves his dog very much and might find the barking not a problem. There is however, a wall on that side of the property now :) Thank you Lourdes!

by Evelyn from New York, NY This is an ideal place to stay away from the traffic of San Juan. Beautiful natural beach to walk,sit and watch the surf on the rocks. You feel real safe in this gated community. The highway is near as well as the malls. You feel right at home.
