This spectacular corner "DIRECT OCEANFRONT" 16th floor condominium offers the most "breathtaking" views up and down the South Carolina coastline. This rare combination of upper floor and corner unit offers dynamic beach and ocean views from all windows including the second bedroom. The unit has been upgraded and is one of the nicest apartment at the Sands Ocean Club. You'll enjoy the breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean from the huge private balcony accessible from the master bedroom and the family room.

The condominium features a fully equipped modern kitchen with all new stainless steel high end appliances, a large capacity washer/dryer, two bedrooms (second bedroom also with ocean views has two single beds with night stands for each bed; the master bedroom has a beautiful view of the sun rising in the morning over the ocean and is tastefully appointed with night stand, armoire with cable TV, large round mirror and large closet.

The family room/living room features a matching sofa and ottoman and chair, beautifully full walled mirror reflecting Northern Ocean Views, a TV with DVD player, dining room table with seating for four. The modern Master Bath has a tub/shower.

**PLEASE NOTE** This is one of the very few units with it's own large capacity "WASHER/DRYER" for your personal use. There are only "2" COMMON laundry rooms located on the 7th and 9th floors of the Sands Ocean Club.

As one of Myrtle Beach's hottest spots (Shore Drive, Arcadian Shores)and home of the world famous "OCEAN ANNIE'S" beach bar cafe. The resort has something to offer everyone in the family. Wonderful ocean front condo next to Ocean Annie's

My family loves the art deco style of this condo. It is definitely one of a kind! Corner unit with tons of light. You can see the outdoor pool and Ocean Annie's from the balcony. One of the very best perks in renting this condo is the amenities in the Sands Ocean Resort. Free hors d'oerves 4 to 7 PM in the lounge. Some new things for 2011 ~~FREE DAILY ADMISSION to Sands Water Park, and Diamond Back Golf Course & Adventure Camp. The Adventure Camp has horseback riding, archery, fly fishing, pellet gun shooting, buggy rides, zip line, horse shoes, climbing walls and natue trails. ~~ You ALSO get FREE Getaway Adventure Cruises. ~~ A FREE One Day Admission Pass to Wild Water & Wheels. There is a $10 upcharge to include the "wheels" part of this package, but well worth it. ~~ The freebies with this condo are totally amazing!! Be sure to check the "Adventure Desk" in the Ocean Club to get info on these activities. Don't forget that Sands Kids Club is also available for free daily activities for kids up to age 12!! If you enjoy a cocktail, softdrink, lemonade, etc and live music on the beach, Ocean Annie's will delight you! I have been coming to Shore Drive for 20 years and would not stay in any other area while in Myrtle Beach. It is family friendly and uncrowded. Definitely a safe place for the kids! Condo is close to Kroger, Tanger Outlet, Barefoot Landing, and restaurant row. You can't go wrong in this condo! There are some issues with the condition of the upholstered furniture and the carpet. I have made the owner aware and I believe he will deal with these issues ASAP. The bathrooms are exceptionally appointed. I took pictures to show my daughter! This unit does have a full size washer/dryer. Very much appreciated!!

great week at this condo

My family and I spent a week at this condo and found it to be a very comfortable experience. It is a corner unit, so you do not get noise from other rentals. The decor was soothing and the views were spectacular. The view of the fireworks from the balcony were totally awesome. We found the condo to be clean and very well decorated. My husband and I slept in the guest bedroom and had no problems with privacy, as the sliding door the previous tennant complained about, is just a half wall and there was a full door that closed that provided complete privacy. My son, his wife and baby had the master and had ample room for them and the portable crib. The whole condo was updated and there are windows that provide wonderful views from every room.Upon entering, there is a long hallway that leads into the condo, so you do not get any noise from the hallway, and privacy is not an issue when opening the door to the hallway. The owner is very accomodating, as we explained that there would be four adults coming, so he added chairs to the balcony so we could all have a seat to enjoy the view. As far as the hotel itself, we found no real problem with that. It is a little older than some, but they had staff cleaning it constantly and they had maintenance personnel on staff. The amenites the hotel provided were great. Their breakfast buffet is not just reasonable but mouth watering. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a great time and had no issues with the condo or the hotel itself. We definitely plan to return, and probably to this same unit. Don't let the previous bad comments deter you from staying at this condo, because we found no problems and thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. We planned on paying a little more, because we wanted a quality place to stay, and we definitley got our monies worth.

Not Spectacular at all.....

We spent February 2010 in this 16th floor apartment. The best thing about it was the views of the ocean/beach due to it's corner location. The rest was very disappointing for the premium price we paid for this unit. The similar unit above was renting for several hundred dollars cheaper per month. The 2nd bedroom was open to the living area (a shutter screen is used for privacy). Decor is dark and drab - purple and red painted walls and patchy shag carpeting that needed a really good shampoo, or better yet, replacing altogether. The overall apartment certainly could be a lot cleaner too - it was quite disappointing to arrive after a long drive and see a good clean was needed. The balcony area also needs a good coat of paint on the floor and iron railings, the patio door from the bedroom didn't open properly, on the second patio door the lock was stiff and hard to open - overall the patio area looked very neglected. The old and dirty patio furniture didn't help. This apartment is in a relatively old building so the lobbies and main areas of the complex are tired and worn. Not a good experience at all - there are much better places to stay for similar or less dollars.

Owner response:I have to take strong issue with the above review. First of all there are numerous photos of my unit to see the decor. It is an art deco finish and I guess they didn't like pastel colors. He forgot to mention the light blue colors also in the unit.Most guests love it.There are no similar units to mine that offer the decor and washer/dryer and most of them have not been updated as mine has been and are an infererior product. So my unit may be slightly higher than others because of the upgrades and new look. I wonder why they didn't rent the unit above??These guest knew of any shortcomings of which there are few. I asked them to call me when they got there and they had little complaint except a few spots on a small area of rug that I offered to get cleaned up. My housekeeper had just finished the unit before their arrival and the place was super clean. Another exaggeration from these guests!! The " shutter wood panel screen" to the 2nd bedroom is the way all the units in the building are designed and for a reason, so parents can keep an eye on the kids so they don't need to leave the living room area. Also it is only half the wall high.Since this was only one couple staying there and using the master bedroom, I don't see an issue at all for them with the second bedroom. Again, it is in the photos.Paint on the outside rails and floor of the patio is a building maintenace issue which everyone is on a list to have completed. I have new patio furniture replaced every year after the winter season. The lock on the storm door from the living room to the patio is in the permanently open position for safety reasons. Not to be tampered with as was discussed. I went over the isssue of the bedroom storm door to the patio not working properly before they arrived and even had it repaired while these guests were there. So they already knew this. No secret!! The kitchen and bathrooms are totally modern with new appliances and fixtures.What no complaint there? Lastly, some areas of the building still need rug replacement in the hallways. I have no control over that isssue. And our main lobby area at Sands has been recently upgraded and looks lovely upon arrival. Totally modern!! Not sure what they are talking about? I take pride in my unit and always encourage my guests to keep me apprised of any issues/problems which I rectify in a timely manner. Anyone can nitpick over any little thing and in this case, these guest maybe predispossed to finding fault where none is found!
