The view from our home surpasses the view of all other rental homes in Oak Shores. This includes those homes advertising "Lake Front", "Lake Views", and/or "Gorgeous Views". We are accepting offers on this unique property due to the illness of my wife. When you rent our home, you will have a total lake experience, both while you are on the lake, and on our decks barbequing. Our home offers an uninterrupted panoramic 160 degree view of both the lake and the mountains. You will look down to see the water, which is close enough for you to hear it lap the shore. No other rental home offers a view close to this unique experience. The other rental homes offer a lake view in the distance, which can be measured in hundreds of feet. As the lake level drops, this view and distance increases to hundreds of yards. We are located on a cliff above the main channel, which is why the distance to the water changes very little during the year, as the lake level drops.
Our outstanding view can be enjoyed from every room of our home. Both of our lake facing decks (which are almost 400 Sq Ft each) enjoy this panoramic view. Our home offers excellent privacy as the decks and living areas face away from the street, and you will not overlook anyone else's back yard. We have excellent, easy access off the street parking, which allows you to leave your trailer attached to your tow vehicle. The other rental homes don't even mention their parking challenges. Our home is located on a quiet street off the main thoroughfare, between the two launch ramps. We are located far enough away from the marina to avoid the noise and traffic associated with boat launching. Our home is furnished and fully air-conditioned.
We offer a complete kitchen, charcoal and/or wood burning BBQ on each deck, queen size bed in the master bedroom, a full and twin size bed in each of the two downstairs bedrooms. Please note, we do not provide sheets, pillow cases, towels (both kitchen and bath). Some blankets are available, but you should bring a few extra in case the whether turns cold. We provide a stacked washer/dryer.
Our home is the best value in Oak Shores, when you consider the view, parking, privacy, accessibility, layout, and our price. Our price includes the Sanitization fee, but not Oak Shores Boat Fees or Monterey Lake fees which you are responsible for paying. We have additional pictures which we can E-Mail to upon requests.
We offer an optional private boat slip for $25/day or $125/wk.

- Lake View : Our home has possible the best lake view in Oak Shores. The water is closer than the pictures indicate. Our new lower deck almost looks down on the lake.
- Water View : There are no obstacles between you and the the water. Other homes in Oak Shores claim they are waterfront or lake view, but few offer anything close to our breathtaking view. The water is not off in the distance but directly below you.

Year Purchased: 1982
We have been managing our Vacation Rental for the last 28 years. My wife and I pride ourselves in maintaining a clean, modern looking home, designed for families. The people who rent my home usually come back year after year. Partly because of the unique view, privacy, and parking, but mostly because my home is a great value, with a great location. My wife and I personanlly manage our home to ensure that our guests receive first class treatment.
Why the Owner Chose Oak Shores
I grew up living on the edge of a lake. Fishing, boating and skiing are part of the enjoyment I rememberm as an important part of my childhood. I wanted to share this experience with my children. This Vacation Rental made possible my desire to have and share the lake experience with my family.
The Unique Benefits of this House
In 2007, we added a deck off the back of our home which extends over the cliff. The deck enhances the lake experience, and offers a view unparrellel in any other Oak Shores rental. The deck and accompanying cement patio offers over 800 Square Feet of entertainment area for your private use. We have completely remodeled our home since we purchased it in 1982.
