No other Vacation Rental in Oak Shores has the breathtaking view of Lake Nacimiento that we offer. You will enjoy an uninterrupted panoramic 160 degree view of the water and mountains from our home. We are located on a cliff about 100 feet above lake level. You will look down and to see the water. Yet, you are close enough to hear the water lap the shore.
Our home is the best value in Oak Shores, when you consider the view, parking, privacy, accessibility, and our price. Let me explain.
If you rented before in Oak Shores, you know that our homes are built on the sides of hills. Most rental homes require you to climb at least one flight of stairs to reach the living and viewing areas. You already know the joy of multiple trips up and down those stairs to carry your belongings and groceries. The same stairs must be climbed everytime you leave and return. Our home is a Tri-level. There are only 7 steps from the driveway to the living area.
There are few homes in Oak Shores, which can come close to our exceptional views. Some homes say they have "lake front" property, and view. If you could cut down all the trees, and stand on the chimney, you still will not see the water. Other homes advertising lake views, and you must "look off in the distance", and between the trees and/or houses to see water. Our home, you look down to see and hear the water.
Parking can be a real challenge in Oak Shores. Some rental homes have driveways which are hard to navigate and/or require you to detatch your trailer. Our driveway allows you to pull in, and leave your boat attached. There is ample parking for additional vehicles.
Street access is another consideration. Our home is on a one way circular street. Those homes advertising a culdesac are a special concern. Have you ever tried to navigate a culdesac with a boat attached? I don't recommend it. Additionally, our street is not a main traffic artery, which limits traffic, and/or noise.
Some rental homes have decks facing the street and/or the neighbor's house. I don't know about you, but I don't enjoy having people watching me while I eat. All of our decks face away from the street.
Every room of our home has an outstanding view of the lake. All three decks and the driveway have a view of the lake. Our rear deck are almost 400 square feet, and offers both full sun and protection from the sun and wind. The lower deck is 360 square feet not counting 240 square feet cement patio leading to this deck. The lower deck puts you almost above the water for a spectacular view. Our home's open floor plan ensures you will not feel as you are in a small box.
We are located three-tenth of a mile from the west launch ramp and about a mile from the main marina (3/10 of a mile as the crow flies). We are protected from the noise of the main marina by geology. You will not be awakened at 6 am by the muscle boats which can be a problem for the homes facing the marina. Please note we are pet friendly, but we charge for each pet and the pet must be pre-approved. Our preferred rental period is Saturday to Saturday.
This year we are offering an optional private boat slip ($25/day or $125/wk) in the main marina. Your boat will be guaranteed a slip, and you will not have to haul your boat out of the water every night. However there are public slips available on a first come first served basis. Please note, our rates includes the 9% bed tax and sanitization. This makes our home the best Vacation Rental value at Oak Shores.
We provide pillows, blankets, bath rugs and toilet seat covers, salt and pepper, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent. We provide some of the following but you need to bring your own: Dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, Plastic bags (Garbage, food and trash), aluminum foil and plastic wrap, tissues and spices (bring your favorites). If the garbage does not fit in the two trash cans, you must take it with you (which is why you must bring extra garbage bags). Do not leave garbage in a bag on the grounds as the animals will scatter it. You need to bring charcoal and newspapers (for the weber chimney to start the BBQ), sheets, pillows cases, bath and beach towels, bathroom soaps and shampoos, and cooking oils, kitchen towels and kitchen wash cloths.

- Lake View: Our home has possible the best lake view in Oak Shores. The water is closer than the pictures indicate. Our new lower deck almost looks down on the lake.
- Water View: There are no obstacles between you and the the water. Other homes in Oak shores claim they are waterfront or lake view, but few offer anything close toour breath taking view. viewand the water is not off in the distance but directly below you.
