This reveres layout Island beach house on a large wooded lot with Three Bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths as well as an outside hot/cold shower. There is a well stocked chefs kitchen that will make you feel like you never want to leave and go to the shops, beach, bird watching or fishing as well as the many other things there is to do. You could sit on one of the porches and enjoy your cup of coffee or tea or go to Ocracoke Island Coffee shop and meet other guests and locals. If this sounds interesting it's only the beginning.
We accept nightly rentals in the off seasons. (3 Day Min)
We Accept nightly rentals all other times of the year but must be made within two weeks of booking date.

Ocracoke Island is a part of the acclaimed Cape Hatteras national seasure Located on the Outer Banks. It is a small but exciting island with beautiful sea scapes and sunsets. What makes this island special and sets it apart from other Outer Banks locales is its rustic and laid back attitude. The island is accessible only via ferry from either Hatteras terminal or from the mainland. The majority of the island is nationally protected seasure.
The village of Ocracoke offers exquisite dining and several causal spots along with the famous Howard's Pub. The shops on the island are really great, with local artists and sculptors selling truly beautiful items. The island is really a throw back, and is a great place to take it easy and enjoy family. The beaches are some of the best in the country and the fishing is world class. There is something for everyone.
History buffs take note this was Black Beard, the famous pirate's, home for many years. Enjoy natural beauty and great weather. Weather you're soaking in the tranquil beauty of the ocean, finding some great shells, gazing at the rare birds, watching the wild horse's or looking to land that monster ceach Ocracoke Island is a great place to do it all, and is personally my favorite vacation spot.
This property offers great distant sound views, breathtaking sunsets (the street it is on is not name Sunset Drive for no reason). Enjoy the beautiful reversed floor layout and take in the wonderful views. This cottage is located within walking distance of the town's shopping and dining center, and the Pamlico Sound. With three bedrooms and two and a half baths its perfect for the family, yet beautiful and cozy also catering to couples. Enjoy two large decks and a screened in porch. There is a fish cleaning bench for the fisherman.
So we invite you to stay here a while, take it slow and relax. Ocracoke is truly a special place and will surly make many memories for you and your family. Enjoy the warm waters and hot sun in the summer,or avoid the crows and relax here in the fall and even the winter. All year round the island is a great place to take a break from the craziness of everyday life.

May 2010 Hi Bob!!! Wanted to write and let you know that my family and I had a splendid time at Sunset on Trent back in May! Your home was just right and had everything we needed to feel comfortable and relaxed! We also appreciate your willingness to work with our wacky schedule request. As my husband was recouping from surgery....it certainly lifted his spirits to be able to hang out in Ocracoke....a family favorite vacation spot!! June 5-12, 2010 What a wonderful home, a wonderful vacation, a wonderful island! Thank you for opening up your home to my husband and I, along with your other guests. Sunset on Trent is truly the nicest home that either of us have stayed in (this is my husbands 15th trip and my 5th trip to the island.) The weather was beautiful as always! And we enjoyed many things about the spacious home. It really does feel cozy and warm. We were married here on the island in 2000 and have come back the past two years to celebrate our anniversary on vacation! We hope to call Ocracoke our real second home someday. October 3-10, 2009 Well this is our 11th trip to the island in as many years. We’ve stayed in various places, but this is by far our favorite! With the exception of 1 day, the weather has been wonderful- highs in the 80’s with light breezes. We’ve caught lots of fish- puppy drum, trout, blues, flounder, and pompano. Enough to eat while here and plenty to freeze for at home. A week never seems long enough! Thanks for opening your home to us once again. It gives us a change to share your piece of heaven on earth. September 12-19, 2009 Dear Owners of “Sunset on Trent” As always we had a fantastic time vacationing on Ocracoke! This is our seventh visit in 10 years and we drive over 800 miles just to smell and taste the Ocracoke air. We love everything about the island and staying in your house made it that much more enjoyable, the furnishings are very comfortable, kitchen is awesome and we spent a lot of time outside on the decks. August 21, 2009 We are sad to be leaving tomorrow. We had a fabulous week in your beautiful home. The house is spacious, well-equipped and infant-friendly! August 6, 2009 We had a very relaxing trip. I love this little town. We enjoyed the house and loved the swing on the porch. We also had the best weather ever!!! July 4th 2009-July 11th 2009 After many visits to Ocracoke we finally found a place to accommodate our large group of friends. We have stayed many places but this is by far the best yet! Everything from the spacious kitchen, washer/dryer, screened in porches and room area below far exceeded our expectations! We enjoyed many days on the sunny beach, bicycle rides around the island, and karaoke at Howard’s Pub. We all look forward to visiting the island again next year!!
