June 5-12, 2010 What a wonderful home, a wonderful vacation, a wonderful island! Thank you for opening up your home to my husband and I, along with your other guests. Sunset on Trent is truly the nicest home that either of us have stayed in (this is my husbands 15th trip and my 5th trip to the island.) The weather was beautiful as always! And we enjoyed many things about the spacious home. It really does feel cozy and warm. We were married here on the island in 2000 and have come back the past two years to celebrate our anniversary on vacation! We hope to call Ocracoke our real second home someday. Until then we will continue our annual anniversary tradition here on Ocracoke...Our favorite island town. Thanks again, Heather & Eric Winchester, VA

May 2010 Hi Bob!!! Wanted to write and let you know that my family and I had a splendid time at Sunset on Trent back in May! Your home was just right and had everything we needed to feel comfortable and relaxed! We also appreciate your willingness to work with our wacky schedule request. As my husband was recouping from surgery....it certainly lifted his spirits to be able to hang out in Ocracoke....a family favorite vacation spot!! October 3-10, 2009 Well this is our 11th trip to the island in as many years. We’ve stayed in various places, but this is by far our favorite! With the exception of 1 day, the weather has been wonderful- highs in the 80’s with light breezes. We’ve caught lots of fish- puppy drum, trout, blues, flounder, and pompano. Enough to eat while here and plenty to freeze for at home. A week never seems long enough! Thanks for opening your home to us once again. It gives us a change to share your piece of heaven on earth. September 12-19, 2009 Dear Owners of “Sunset on Trent” As always we had a fantastic time vacationing on Ocracoke! This is our seventh visit in 10 years and we drive over 800 miles just to smell and taste the Ocracoke air. We love everything about the island and staying in your house made it that much more enjoyable, the furnishings are very comfortable, kitchen is awesome and we spent a lot of time outside on the decks. August 6, 2009 We had a very relaxing trip. I love this little town. We enjoyed the house and loved the swing on the porch. We also had the best weather ever!!! July 4th 2009-July 11th 2009 After many visits to Ocracoke we finally found a place to accommodate our large group of friends. We have stayed many places but this is by far the best yet! Everything from the spacious kitchen, washer/dryer, screened in porches and room area below far exceeded our expectations! We enjoyed many days on the sunny beach, bicycle rides around the island, and karaoke at Howard’s Pub. We all look forward to visiting the island again next year!! He introduced us to this spectacular yet simple (pleasure) place, one of the most relaxing places I’ve ever spent time. We had a great vacation together spent in Sept 05 in this house. 4-20-07 We had a great visit in Ocracoke this year. The house was wonderful! I am only 12 yet this island seems like home, I’ve been coming here since I was not even born. This is one of the nicest houses yet! I cannot wait to return, it’s always different. I love this idea of keeping a guest book also! So sad it’s already time to go. We shopped a lot and went to the beach 2 times such a drag the weather was only 60’s even worse then that it’s 75 the day we leave. Oh well, just another reason to come back. May 12-19, 2007 Had a great time in a great house! The house was really nice and roomy. Great kitchen and counters. We were two hard working couples from Pennsylvania who just needed to get away and this island was what we needed. Had pretty good weather and a great time at the beach. July 21 2005 This is our 2nd year at Ocracoke and our first year in this house. We spend two weeks this year because we love Ocracoke Island! June 11-18 2005 We’ve been going to Ocracoke for 6 years and we’ve been going to this house for 3 or 4 of the 6 years. We love going to the beach almost every day. The last day we went to the beach was the nicest one. We rode some good waves. My pap almost always comes with us to Ocracoke. This house is awesome! I love the outdoor shower. May 21-30 2005 Our second visit to Ocracoke and what a wonderful home to have discovered! (We loved it so much-we extended our stay!) Fabulous weather (we are so tan!) and a well stocked house (kitchen toys - videos-DVD’s books ...) gave us a simply fabulous vacation! We plan to revisit the island again next year- for a two week stay... and we will definitely look into renting Sunset-on-Trent! Thank you for your thoughtful touches and for your warm-welcoming home! May 1-8, 2005 We just arrived last night and I can tell you already this is my new favorite house on Ocracoke. I like it better then our home and I have been taking notes on the floor plan! This is our 15th year in a row to Ocracoke for the OISFT (fishing tourney) it is the 5th time for our son Benjamin who is only 4 and a half! More later... Monday-perfect day on the beach and we caught 15 Big Blues! Tuesday Fish tall: 10 Blues 1 Flounder, Trout, 1 Whiting and threw back 1 flounder and one shark. Friday: Fishing tournament cancelled, almost a hurricane. Island shut down, even the Ferry’s so no evacuating. This house really shakes in the wind, but a nice place to be stuck. Virginia.

May 4-10, 2005 We have had a great time. Harold loved the kitchen. We were all housebound along with the friends from the campground for 14 hours during a Noreaster with hurricane-fierce winds but, with the spin floor plan, we were able to “weather” the storm together. The sunrise & sunset were a joy daily from the deck. Unfortunately, the second day of the OISFT was cancelled, but we caught plenty the rest of the week.
