We had a wonderful time on Fripp Island! Your home is lovely and feel fortunate to have found such a great place!! The weather was in the low to mid 70's with blue skies the whole week. This was truly an enjoyable get-a-way for our family, highlighted by the relaxing pace on the island,the beautiful beach, evening golf cart drives to view the sunsets, homes and wildlife attractions that Fripp offers. Relaxing

We had a fabulous vacation. Your home was beautiful and all that we hoped for in regards to a relaxing time with friends and family. Just the right amount of activities on the island when not at the beach. We will certainly return but will stock up better prior to coming onto the island as only complaint island markets are very limited as the owners had warned.

Sea Sounds Rental

The house was wonderful (and as described); not only was it in an ideal location (few minutes walk to the beach) and included many non-essential amenities (golf cart, ping pong table, dvd collection) but it was also beautifully furnished, as one might desire for one's own home. Having rented many houses on Fripp, I've found that they are often shabby, even in the higher price range. Also, we were grateful for the pride the owners clearly put in this rental and how easy they made communication, responding quickly to minor questions we had during our stay. We come to Fripp every summer and this is the first time we've thought we would return to a rental we've used before! For those who have never been to Fripp, it is an excellent vacation spot for beach (the warmest water I've ever experienced) & resort (pool, golf, tennis, at an extra cost) with the charming city of Beaufort nearby (sightseeing of impressive Southern homes, including those filmed in movies like The Big Chill and The Prince of Tides). Savannah and Charleston are a two hour drive.

We love Sea Sounds! After going to the same beach for 9 years we decided to venture to another location. Fripp Island was new to us and we enjoyed it so much! The house is beautiful. We felt like we were "home".

Had a great time and everything was just as it was described. The home was beautiful and well taken care of. Had a great time on the Hummer golf cart. The beach access is almost right across the street and this end of the island is not near as busy as the other end. At times we felt like we had almost had the whole beach to ourselves. Peter and Donna were very helpful, answered all our questions and even checked in to make sure everything was as expected.

We just finished out second year at SeaSounds and it is like a home away from home. Perfect size, lovely furnishing, spotless when you walk in. The kitchen is large and easy for tag team cooking- my kids and I love to cook together. The location, 1 house in from the beach, with the back porch looking out over the golf course, has to be the best on the island. You walk 3 minutes to the best beach on the island, or hop onto the Hummer (which is so wonderful to tool around and have the teenage boys make comments on how cool it is) and visit another beach access or one of the three pools. You will never want to leave- we don't! It has made the perfect family vacation site for us. Our kids have all left home, so every summer we try to vacation together. For older kids and parents looking for family time and complete relaxation, this is perfect. They can hang with us, take the bikes or the Hummer and go off together, watch movies, cook, do nothing. Lots of outdoor space to sit, watch the wildlife, read, or just relax. The beaches on Fripp are wonderful, as are the pools. We do not especially like the on island restaurants, but within 30 minutes there are a number of excellent restaurants, from completely casual, to very fancy. We usually just plan 3-4 days of meals, hit the grocery store for the main stuff, Gay's Fish for shrimp and fish, then head on in to the house and stay put until supplies run out. Then we plan one night out and pick up groceries for the rest of the week then. And at least one lunch run to the Shrimp Shack. Beaufort is a lovely town, good for a day trip. Of if you want to venture farther, we have gone to Charleston, which is amazing. The house is even BETTER than the pictures and the DeLuca's are wonderful hosts. The kitchen is well supplied with what you need, the grill is a good size. The bedrooms are a good size, the beds comfortable. Six adults were never on top of each other or in each other's way. They have to pry me out at the end of our week. I would recommend this house to anyone. Just don't take our week!

Sea Sounds

This is a beautiful home located just across the street from the beach and 2 houses down from beach access. The owners are great and do everything possible to make your stay an enjoyable one even down to providing housewarming presents upon your arrival. The use of the Hummer golf cart makes the stay more enjoyable and you'll be surprised how many time you hear, "nice golf cart" as you drive around the island during your stay. This is our second year staying at Sea Sounds and it won't be our last. I'd recommend this place to anyone who asked.

Sea Sounds is a beautiful home! It is perfect with the Ocean across the street and the Golf course out the back! My family had spent our Summer vacations on Fripp since 1991. This was our first time back since 2005 and the first time staying in a house! What an experience it was! The location is perfect...quiet, relaxing, peaceful! Peter and Donna are wonderful hosts. They made us feel so comfortable. From the first contact about the property to the welcome phone call to make sure we arrived safely all the way to receiving a thank you note for staying at Sea Sounds....it was all so easy and friendly! The owners take the extra time to make sure your vacation is enjoyable. The house is extremely comfortable and decorated beautifully. The welcome bottle of wine was a nice touch! It was spotless when we arrived and everything clearly labeled with directions. The welcome packet had great information! Both Peter and Donna emailed me while we were there to let me know information about some of the restaurants on the island. These personal touches make a big difference! The bikes and golf cart were an added bonus and so convenient! My family had a wonderful time and we enjoyed showing our own children where we spent so many of our summer vacations! I recommend Sea Sounds to anyone looking for the perfect vacation getaway! Thank you Peter and Donna!!

Lovely home on Fripp Island

Our family enjoyed a peaceful, relaxing time at this home on Fripp Island. It was a beautifully decorated home, clean, roomy and very comfortable for our family vacation. The home is located on a great part of the Island with the beach across the street and the golf course right out the back door. We loved watching the wild, tame deer right out the door at all times of the day and evening, riding the bikes and the Hummer golf cart. We will recommend this home to others and hope to return ourselves sometime. Thank you to the DeLuca's for their great communication with renters, and their hospitality in sharing this home with others.

My family had a wonderful stay at your beautiful home. All of our children, their husbands and our grandchild enjoyed our week at Sea Sounds. The beach is so close and beautiful. The weather was superb-90 degrees and sunny everyday! Your home is maintained so nicely and the golf cart was such a nice bonus. We will definately be back and will recommend Sea Sounds to our friends. My husband and son in law's really enjoyed the golf and played often. Thanks again, Peter & Donna for such an enjoyable week!

Labor Day 2010

Our family enjoyed a short get-away over Labor Day, and we had a fantastic time in this WONDERFUL house!! It is just steps away from a great stretch of beach, and the kids enjoyed playing on the golf course later in the evening. And Mr DeLuca was fantastic with taking care of every detail to make sure that our family had a wonderful stay. We are looking forward to staying at Sea Sounds again :)

We have stayed at Sea Sounds for the past several years and love staying here. It's in a fantasic location and feels like a home away from home. Everyday was a glorious day with more to do than we could keep up with. We enjoy your lovely home so much that we felt torn to leave, but the beach and pool called. Upon return we cooked lovely meals, lounged on the decks and had a serious ping pong match. The house is well equipped, and entirely inviting. I love getting up early and having my coffee on the back deck and watching the early morning golfers. Thank-you for a terrific vacation - we will be back.

Wonderful house in an ideal location on Fripp Island. Directly across the street from the nicest stretch of beach on the Island, nice ocean views and comfortably breezy in the afternoons. We've stayed in Fripp a few times now and think Marlin Drive is the way to go. The home has a great layout and easily accomodated two families of 5. The porches and the kitchen are the highlights, but all of the accomodations were first class. Would strongly recommend a stay a Sea Sounds to anyone. We plan to stay here again!

FRIPP ISLAND - A great place to get everything off your mind except sand , water , seafood & alligators. We went as a family , and had a great time. The house was very nice and located within an easy walk to the beach where the kids could come & go as needed. We really made good use of the bikes taking them to the pool & beach. Yes the bright red hummer gets a lot of "WOWS". this is one my highlights anytime we go to Fripp is my morning golf cart ride around the island enjoying the deer & checking out the ospreys at water's edge. We also made good use of the kitchen & grill. We stopped at bella luna cafe on way in & picked up a pan of the best Lasanga I ever had , this made a very easy supper for the first night. (call a day before).

If you like beach and family time, this house on this island is the place! The beach is uncrowded and beautiful. The house allowed for 10 people to have their own areas as well as enjoy meals, watch tv, and play games. It's a golf cart island, so the hummer cart that comes with the rental is the only means of transport needed! We did venture to Beaufort, but would have been content to stay in a beautiful house, spend time at the beach, visit the different pool areas on the island, bike.....just talking about it makes we want to pack the car! All in all...............RELAXING!

Perfect Beach Getaway

I have stayed three times at Sea Sounds and each time is better than the last. The house, the amenities, the Island, the owners (Peter and Donna), the local restaurants, all combine to make my annual trip to Fripp something that will keep me coming back for years. The island is friendly, clean, quiet and beautiful and there is never a shortage of things to do. I have golfed, biked, explored, crabbed, fished, tanned, swam, played tennis, taken rides on their customized Hummer golf cart, kayaked, cruised (Lil Fripper), hiked, and most importantly RELAXED! Sea Sounds before the renovation, was beautiful and charming with all the comforts of home, but somehow Peter and Donna have managed to improve upon perfection. The new back deck is huge and eliminates the need to go downstairs to use their beautiful Weber grill. The front deck is now shaded and still offers the same breathtaking views of the ocean that I have always loved. The oversized windows let in great natural light to the family room and newly remodeled entry way. And finally, the new bathrooms, first floor entry way, and internal staircase to the gaming room offer added convenience to an already convenient home. It is truly an incredible house. There is no shortage of great restaurants nearby, but if cooking is your thing, then you can take advantage of the grill I mentioned earlier, or their incredible kitchen. They have all you need to do it yourself. I cannot imagine a year that I do not enjoy Fripp Island and Sea Sounds with my family and friends. When you are there, you are at peace. It is evident that Peter and Donna put as much care into their home as they do their renters. Enjoy!
