Cozy, rustic, picturesque farm house on 15 plus acres with a working organic farm in a very convenient location. Located just a mile off Hwy 17 with walking trails, hiking trails, abundant wildlife and birdwatching.
The house is surrounded by fruit trees including 7 acres of mature apples and pears , berry bushes, English cottage garden, rustic fences, and 50 resident chickens willing to share their eggs.
The interior is cozy and kept as much as possible to its charming 1940's style. However, the comforts are those of the present day. There is cable TV, phone service, and high speed internet. There is a woodburning fireplace in the living room, two electric fireplaces in the bedrooms with views out to the garden areas from every room in the house..
The kitchen is charming and welcoming with all small appliances available as well as some luxury items like a express maker. There will be a selection of teas and coffee to start you off or expand your options at the local Summit Store with its gourmet selection and emphasis on local items.
The hot tub will be ready for you and located in a beautiful area in one of the gardens with views out to the orchards. Enjoy your meals in any of 3 set up areas or create a fire in the outside fireplace for toasting marshmallows or just conversation.
Although the location has a stress free country feel, there are numerous activities just a short space away. There are numerous wineries in the Santa Cruz Mountains, some within walking distance, local theatre on occasion throughout the year and the Summit Store for general and gourmet meals just a short drive away. Beaches and farmers' markets, tourist sites, shopping and all city activities are just a short drive away. Scotts Valley is just 10 minutes, Santa Cruz and the beaches are 15-20 minutes and Los Gatos and the reservoir are just 10 plus minutes in the other direction. Even Monterey and Carmel are within reach at approximately 1 hr traveling.

Offseason*( Sept 1- May 31): $200 nightly, $1200 weekly, 3 nt min or
LONG WEEKEND SPECIAL: $500 for the weekend.
