Wow! We had such a great time! The cabin was amazing and we so appreciated the kitchen that provided some of the things we forgot. The views are incredible and we spent much of our time just enjoying all the fun things we could do right at or in the cabin. Our family rented tubes at the tire store in Ashton and floated down the river to a place across the highway where there was a landing and picnic tables. The guys went fishing. They didn't catch any big ones but still loved it. Thank you so very much! We want to come again!

FAMILY REUNION

WE HELD OUR ANNUAL FAMILY REUNION AT THE STONEFLY LODGE FROM JUNE 11 TO JUNE 15, 2012 AND HAD A WONDERFUL TIME. THIS WAS OUR FIRST VISIT TO THIS LODGE AND WE WERE VERY IMPRESSED WITH ALL THE AMMENITIES OF THE LODGE. THE CLOSENESS TO YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK WAS GREAT AS WE COULDVISIT THE PARK AND THEN LEAVE ALL THE COMMERCIALISM AT WEST YELLOWSTONE. WE HAD 19 FAMILY MEMBERS AND NEVER FELT CROWDED AT STONEFLY. VISITORS SHOULD MAKE SURE TO ENJOY THE FIREPIT DOWN BY THE "BEAUTIFUL HENRYS FORK RIVER" AND ENJOY THE ROASTED MARSHMALLOWS AND SMORES. A WONDERFUL PLACE TO VACATION. ALSO, BE SURE TO VISIT THE THE MESA FALLS AND THE FISH FEEDING AREA OFF HWY 47. THE OWNERS PARENTS ARE THE CARETAKERS AND ARE VERY HELPFUL AND CLOSE-BY IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS OR ANY PROBLEMS. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND SPENDING YOUR VACATION AND FAMILY TIME HERE.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

May Wedding

My husband & I recently had our wedding at Stonefly. Relatives (4 yrs to 85 yrs) came from Oregon, Georgia, North Carolina & New Hampshire. Everyone loved Stonefly & they want to come back next year for a reunion. We had great weather & took beautiful wedding pictures. The lodge was spotless & more beautiful than the website photos. The day after the wedding we all drove up to Mesa Falls & some family continued on to Yellowstone for the day. When I show anyone the wedding photos, they see the river in the background & want to know where we were (& I tell them). We can't wait to go back :)

Yearly treat

I almost hate to let others know of this great place. We have been coming for the last 5 years now with family and friends, to enjoy the outdoors in the winter. We enjoy snowmobiling and have found this to be the perfect spot for our little group. The women like to take a short ride near the cabin and then that leaves the rest of the day for the guys to go and play, while the women sit near the fire and do crafts etc. At least that's what we thought until we returned early one day and found them all in the hot tub watching some otters playing in the snow next to the river. The owners are great to work with and everything is in perfect condition. I can't wait until next year!

We stayed at the home in june.Loved everything about it.Everything you needed was there.Maybe recommend some fishing poles.Besides that everything was there for a great family vacation.All the bases were covered.Would definately go back.Yellowstone is about a hour away.

A Week to be Treasured

Our family reunion at Stonefly was a week to be treasured by all our family. A few of the specifics that made this a standout choice for the 21 of us include: SETTING: The house is tucked away near the banks of the Henry's Fork of the Snake. We were surrounded by open areas of green with the river ever flowing visibly below. From inside we caught sight of deer and even a moose. We found everyone returning to the windows often just to capture their own memory's of the beauty that surrounded us. LODGE: Accommodations were all that we had anticipated. The central gathering area drew us like a magnet--as did the many things to do inside. The billiard table, air hockey, and ping pong table were also favorite and frequent gathering places. By week's end, all were claiming new talents--while still finding more about Stonefly to discover. KITCHEN: Never once did we need something that we could not find in a drawer or cupboard. The kitchen is the best stocked of any we've stayed at in 20 years of family reunions! Two refrigerators were much appreciated. FIREPIT: Deserves a special comment. It was definitely a plus not to be missed. We only regret that we didn't enjoy it every night. RECOMMENDATION: Five stars!!!

Our stay at Stonefly Lodge

Just wanted to let you know what an awesome time our family had at your lodge this past week end. It is so beautiful and spacious and you have thought of every need a large family could want. When we were not doing our activities, the kids were very content to play your game tables, board games, hot tub, lounge in the Theatre room watching TV and just visit. We were going to feed the fish but didn't even get that done. A couple of my boys took their sons fishing somewhere but none of us wanted to do anything else except enjoy the scenery and the lodge. From the minute we opened the door, we were so impressed by how clearly things were explained, how very clean it was, by the way things are run there which keeps things under control and was quite like a luxery Hotel. Spent a week at Stonefly Lodge in early November 2009. Beginning the week, I brought in the management from my company for a couple of days of meetings and a day of guided fly fishing. The Lodge was great to host the company outing and we all had a great time. The fishing on the Henry's Fork was great! The latter half of the week was spent with my family at The Lodge. Stonefly Lodge is a top-of-the-line first class accomodation. Clean, well-kept and very up to date. My kids loved the hot tub and the pool table. The bottom line is that Stonefly Lodge was perfect for my company outing and my family outing. This is my fourth trip to the Lodge and I look forward to many more. Thanks Stonefly Lodge!

Wow! Stonefly Lodge made for an amazing gathering point for our extended family. There was plenty of space for everyone and a wide variety of activities for all interests and ages. We especially enjoyed the football-championship-of-the-world in the grassy area by the river, and of course the post game soak in the hot tub. The marathon pinochle games in front of the fireplace were also enjoyed nightly. We came with all kinds of national park plans, but in the end we were so happy with the fishing and the lodge amenities that we stayed close to our home for the week. Thank you for thinking of all of the little things that made staying at Stonefly Lodge so refreshing and enjoyable. Thank you for opening you home to our family, we will be back! The Glatz Family

The Stonefly Lodge is awesome! We recently stayed there with a group of friends and had a great time. The lodge is very roomy with state of the art amenities. I would highly reccomend this cabin to anyone wanting to visit the area. The property managers were wonderful to work with and very accomodating to our needs

This is an amazing cabin in a very special place. We visited during the winter. Watching the sunset over the large expanse of snow covered fields from the living room couch was spectacular. It was very relaxing to soak in the hot tub under the dark Idaho star studded skies. I was very stressed out and anxious when I arrived at the cabin. When I left I was well rested and relaxed. How lucky you are to have such a beautiful home in such a lovely peaceful place. Thank you for sharing it with us!

Our family from Virginia, Colorado, Utah and Idaho enjoyed very very much our time at Stonefly from the 11th to the 15th of August. Everything was more than we expected. There were 21 of us and plenty of room, bedrooms and bathrooms. On our last day, no one wanted to leave and plan to meet here in several years. It was so peaceful and we loved our time there. We would not hesitate in recommending this. Just wish it was our home. Owen & Sherry Barrus

We recently had a family reunion with 29 people from NC, OR, and WA. Everyone had a great time. We picked the house due to its location near Yellowstone and the Tetons. However, most of the group (especially the kids) preferred staying at the house rather than visiting the parks. The house had exceptional amenities, was very clean, and never felt crowded with 29 people. Several guests enjoyed the excellent fishing. I hooked the fish of a lifetime near the house, but it broke free after fighting me up and downstream. I would HIGHLY recommend this house to anyone and would love to return someday. Our family made memories that will last a lifetime!

The lodge is wonderful. We stayed there with 24 family members from 4 states and had plenty of room. The bedrooms and beds are very comfortable and there is plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. The kitchen is amazing and had everything we needed to cook for our group. The two refrigerators made life easy and convenient. There were plenty of things to do and everyone had a great time. The location is incredible and the access to the river was great. Thank you so much for sharing the lodge with us, we had a wonderful vacation.

We stayed as a group at Stonefly Lodge and it was AMAZING! Very clean, spacious and very comfortable. It was so easy to cook for the 20 people that stayed with us. We went snowshoeing, sledding, and one of the highlights was the snowmobiling. The trails were amazing for beginners to experienced riders. We would recommend staying here to anyone hands down, as we plan on returning SOON!

We had a family reunion over the 4th of July with kids and adults, coming from Washington, Texas, and Utah. We loved it! The house was perfect for multiple families, and everyone still had some privacy. We loved the location, we played games on the lawn, and rafted many times down the river. It was a wonderful, comfortable, clean place to stay and visit with family. Thank you!

Wow!! What a wonderful experience. We recently had a Family Reunion there and everything was wonderful. The owners have done a great job with everything and it is truly a beutiful place. The fall colors were beautiful all around and the fishing was great. We would highly recommend this property to all and we will definately be using it again. Thanks to all at Stonefly!

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at the Stonefly Lodge for our August vacation. The house was amazing. You all have done a wonderful job of providing everything families could possibly want or need. The amenities were top notch. We felt like we were in a 5 star hotel! Our boys were bound and determined to play every indoor and outdoor game that you had there! We had a pool tournament, played badminton, horse shoes, and we had regular ping pong and air hockey games going on at all times of the day! Thank you so much for making your house so welcoming for families.

The other comments on the utility and esthetics of the facility and environs are right on target. We really enjoyed tubing down the river on a hot summer day. The car wash in the master bathroom is a blast. We would love to come again at another season of the year. Truly a wonderful experience for all 26 members of our family.

We gathered 28 of our fun friends and raced (Amazing Race-style) to the Stonefly Lodge. The cabin's design is perfect for large groups. The beds were comfortable, the scenery beautiful, the cabin clean, and all of the amenities encouraged everyone to relax and have fun. It was great to have room for everyone to be together and still have space for privacy too. The kitchen is large and is furnished with new, good-quality items that made cooking for our group easy. The bathrooms were very clean and the steam shower was wonderful. We loved our trip there and hope to make it an annual event.

We held a company retreat at the Stonefly Lodge January '06 and had a wonderful time. Accomodations are excellent with plenty of room for large groups. Had a enjoyable time snowmobling the many trails in the area and relaxing in the lodge. One of our group enjoyed it so much he took his family back two weeks later. I will be back again with my family and some friends. Thanks for letting us use your beautiful home and I appreciate how easy it was to set up the reservation. Thanks Again!
