What an exquisite cluster of houses in this very special hamlet just outside of St. Remy. We chose to come in early September to avoid some of the crowds and the summer heat. We were pleased with our choices but most especially we were delighted with the accommodation of L'Orangerie. A perfect place for a couple, retired or honeymoon and everyone in between. The grounds are lovingly cared for and the hospitality incomparable. Everything has been thought of so all you have to do is enjoy it all. William and his staff do an exceptional job of looking after the needs of his guests on a personal basis. You won't be disappointed; we certainly weren't and plan to return.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our family of four recently returned from a delightful week spent at L'Orangerie at Provence Paradise. Our host, William Moore met us at the Avignon train station and drove us to the cottage where a fabulous lasagne meal and a stocked fridge awaited us, along with an excellent bottle of rose. The cottage, decorated in predominantly yellow tones in Provencal style is charming, and includes all modern amenities. We especially enjoyed the private patio where we could relax in chaises longues, or eat a meal at the outdoor table. The pool and gardens are lovely, and since the weather in August is often over 30 degrees Celsius, we made good use of the pool. William provided us with croissants and pain au chocolat for several mornings and gave us lots of information about village events such as the Feria in mid-August where we saw bulls running through the streets of St. Remy as well as white Camargue horses and their Provencal-costumed riders. The town of St. Remy itself, just a 10 or 15 minute walk from L'Orangerie, is an ideal centre from which to explore many areas of Provence. Not having a car, we were able to visit many interesting places by bus. One village we wanted to visit was not accessible by bus, so William very kindly drove us there one evening. The kindness and generosity of our host and his team, and the beauty and comfort of our surroundings made this holiday the best ever! We just wish that we could have stayed another week.Owner response: WOW! The MESSENGER's are such nice people, sincerely appreciative of everything we could do for them, that we have wonderful memories of their séjour with us! "Come again and/or send us other great people like you!" Need we say more?

We booked one week in Provence at Au Moulin Entre Deux Mas Paradise Provence where William Moore the owner and his family was most accommodating. There are several style houses on the property but we chose the Orangerie as it was just two of us. The accommodation is 1 bedroom with a loft bedroom for 1-2 children. There is only 1 full bath. It was fully equipped with kitchen, well stocked refrigerator, loads of dishes and pots, towels, washer/dryer combo. The den and furnishings were comfortable and each piece of furniture was tastefully selected to blend with the Provence theme. The breakfast table looked onto a private garden with more patio chairs and loungers. The bathroom/shower was excellent and a very comfortable bed. The fireplace would be great in winter. The AC was needed in June as it was warm although we had afternoon showers on several days. They deliver the first night welcome dinner with lasagna, salad desert bread and wine. William delivered warm bread the first morning which was also appreciated. Outside you stepped into a paradise, everywhere you turned beautiful flowers, gardens, little streams and a water mill, well maintained pool and adjacent hot tub, a barbeque and more lounge chairs around the pool. They have a social during the week for guests to meet. We viewed the other larger houses and they were of all furnished with beautiful antiques and done to a high standard. We liked the location and the town of St Remy filled with an excellent selection of restaurants, courtyards with fountains, historic sites and great shops.Owner response: We are, indeed, very happy that Gerry and Artie were so satisfied with their stay here at PROVENCE PARADISE! We try very hard to assure a very high level of comfort and safety/well-being. Sounds like we achieved our objective! "Come again and/or send other nice people just like you, Gerry and Artie."

My wife and I stayed in l’orangerie for ten nights in May 2008 as part of our honeymoon. For about six months leading up to the trip William and I were in almost daily contact by email with William providing advice and assistance not only about Provence but also in relation to our other locations within France. We were immensely looking forward to our stay and putting a face to ‘William’ and ‘Provence Paradise. To say everything met our expectations would be an understatement. It is easier I think to put a few comments in point form:•The welcome from William was very special complete with a lovely meal, wine, flowers etc•William and his crew maintain a very discreet service, to the point that we hardly saw William for a few days.•Fresh croissants in the morning (or for lunch depending when you wake up) was a real treat.•William can provide a wealth of information and his tip of a wine tour with Francois was greatly received. Spending the day with Francois on his wine tour with a maximum of four other people is a great way to spend a day. Another tip from William that I have never read in any guide book or on the internet saw about 2000 sheep, donkeys, goats etc running down the street as part of a local festival right outside our cottage.•The cottage is beautiful, with all the mod cons yet with the old style Provencal style.•The grounds of the estate are beautiful and very well kept. The pool is very large as is the outdoor spa.•The location is extremely convenient. A ten minute walk into town for market day or just to walk home after too many bottles of wine with lunch or dinner! Otherwise everything you would want to see is within a 45 minute drive in all directions.•William had a dinner party with other guests during our stay and it was a great night, finishing very late in the night/early in the morning depending on your point of view!I could say so much more but you will just need to go and find out for yourself. I am happy to answer any questions that prospective guests may have and I can provide some photos that we took to assist you make a decision.I would finally just add that after months of looking forward to our stay it was very hard to leave. William and I had become email mates before our stay but by the end of our stay it was like leaving family. That is how William treated us ‘as family’Owner response: My PROVENCE PARADISE Team and I had a lot of fun hosting the young MOYLAN's. They honored us by coming all the way from Australia to spend their honeymoon in our "hamlet." Taking good care of them was a pleasure for us. Kind of "doing what we do naturally." Plus, we love to host "Aussies!" We expect Sara and Paddy back someday... in a considerably larger house, with a good number of little MOYLAN's in tow!

We searched the internet for a place to stay in the Provence region of France and came across “Provence Paradise”. We have traveled extensively and without doubt, this was the best place we stayed anywhere. The property is magnificent. The L'Orangerie cottage has an almost unbelievable attention to detail. Very warm, very cozy, great fireplace, nicely equipped kitchen, fresh flowers. Best of all, the refrigerator was fully stocked with all of the necessities. In addition, home made lasagna and salad was waiting for us upon arrival. After a full day of travel, it was nice not to worry about trying to find a grocery store or a restaurant. The next morning, a bag of fresh croissants was hanging on our door handle. Proprietor William Moore was the most gracious, caring host that we have ever encountered. You will feel like you have known him all of your life. He goes out of his way to be helpful. If you seek information about tourist destinations, parking areas, restaurants, William can help. He is multi lingual and can assist almost any traveler in their native language. Early each morning and at the end of the day, he visited us just to ask if we had any needs or if we wanted information that might help to more effectively plan our travels. At the end of our visit, he asked what time we would leave so that he could say goodbye. He is truly one of the most memorable people we have encountered. His staff, Bettina and Olivier, are equally attentive and caring. You might find lodging that would be less expensive but you will never find one that offers so much comfort for what we believe to be a good price. If you have the opportunity to stay at Provence Paradise and L'Orangerie, do not hesitate. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like more detail.Bob and Pauline BaillieBatavia,OhioSeptember 29 to October 6, 2007Owner response: What more can we say? It would seem to the naked eye that Bob and Pauline were related to us.... but no, they are part of our new "family of contented guests at Provence Paradise." They helped to invent our new 2008 logo: "Come as friends, leave as family." Not everyone, mind you, ... but the BAILLIE certainly do!

THE DIFFERENCE IS IN THE DETAILS. Yes, the Provence region is beautiful in the Fall and the weather is perfect. What made our trip extraordinary was our stay at L'Orangerie. The cottage is even more delightful than it appears on the website. The attention to detail by owner William Moore, assisted by Betinna and Olivier, provided a most enjoyable and relaxing stay. It was such a joy to arrive and find fresh flowers in the cottage, a fully stocked fridge and a wonderful dinner waiting for us. The cottage is completely furnished, and if your are inclined to cook some of the wonderful dishes of Provence, the kitchen is very well equipped. The grounds are colorful and immaculately maintained. William so graciously assisted us in planning our itinerary each day, and he was just a phone call away if any problems arose. Saint Remy and L'Orangerie are centrally located, and all of the major sights are within a short driving distance. Yes, there are many places you could choose to stay during your visit to Provence, but why would you want to stay anywhere but L'Orangerie?Owner response: Yes, we try harder...and it begins to show! Thanks to Mikki and Steven for their visit, their friendship and their support to our PROVENCE PARADISE program. We know that the DAVIS's will be back! And, we will be very happy to see them!

L'Orangerie really was the highlight of our French tour. It was a wonderful experience to have dinner awaiting us on arrival, a well stocked fridge and fresh croissants for breakfast. It made a great base to explore Provence, and William & Bettina were always available to help us with any problems or advice. We look forward to returning one day for more than 1 week next time.Owner response: Truthfully, RUGBY was probably the great motivator to get the NAHRUNG's this far over the seas from Australia. Then, we were happy to see that they could relax with their twin daughters and enjoy the peace and quiet of St. Rémy and of PROVENCE PARADISE. That is our "specialty." We hope to see David and Patti again soon.

My husband, David, and I had a lovely time at the L'Orangerie this past summer (2007)!We actually arranged our whole trip around staying at L'Orangerie because we fell in love with the accommodations and setting online.I have to admit that I was a bit weary at first booking since I did not know if this "Paradise" existed, but let's just say that David and I were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Not only was the cottage wonderful but the hospitality was superb!Enjoy your stay.Owner response: Jennifer's comments are those which are in the heads and on the lips of those who, after a long day of travel, ring the bell at our front gate...and then hope someone shows up to open the door to "Provence Paradise" and that what they find is at least as good as the website! We aim to be even better! And our visitors say we are!

The earlier comments do not fully describe what a lovely, comfortable and welcoming place William and his staff have developed. We had a tremendous visit 7-21 Sept. We felt that we were friends when we arrived, and family when we left. The property is lovely, the accommodations beyond expectation, and the location very convenient for sightseeing. I could go on and on .....Owner response: No need to "go on and on," Sarah and Larry. Just come back and/or send us other nice people just like you! Thanks, too, for all of your ideas about how to make time at PROVENCE PARADISE even more comfortable and memorable.

We stayed in L'Orangerie in June/July this year. The cottage was wonderful & we really appreciated the well stocked fridge & the dinner prepared ready to eat from the fridge after our long journey. We especially liked the french bread & croissants delivered to our door for breakfast each morning. The soirees around the pool with the other guests were a feature & very enjoyable. There is no better place from which to explore this lovely region of france. Thank you William & team for such a wonderful stay in a Paradise in Provence. We certainly will return. A Bientot Margaret & Peter GottOwner response: We are proud and pleased to know that this "honeymoon couple" of 40 plus years so much enjoyed our little cottage that they will be returning in 2008...AND 2009. Reservations already on our books. We encourage people like Margaret and Peter to "Come back and/or send us other nice people..." They took us very seriously and it's wonderful.

Staying at L'Orangerie brought my dream of Provence to life in full color...the cottage was perfect in every way...luxurious towels and robes waiting...a gorgeous wood fire blazing.fully stocked refrigerator, and the first evening's dinner waiting with a candle lit table...all that was needed after a long day's journey...I felt as though I had arrived at a good friend's estate ... welcomed with warmth and generosity that could never be matched by a 5 star hotel...thank you William for creating such a beautiful environment for us to enjoy...I will be back for a longer stay.... soniOwner response: Soni opened our Spring 2007 season. We very much enjoyed her company. She is also a VRBOer; so we had lots of things in common. Lots of laughs! We sure hope to see Soni back here someday soon....once she has finished her own building projects in California!

My husband and I recently (May/Jun07) rented a cottage at Provence Paradise. William Moore, our wonderful American host who speaks English/French made our stay quite comfortable and memorable. William’s motto is; “You are welcome”, and he and his staff mean it. On the evening of our Friday night arrival (after a somewhat tiring 11+ hour connecting flight), he had a tasty pan of lasagna, salad, bread and wine in the refrigerator waiting for us. Nearly every morning, William left a bag of fresh croissants, pain au chocolat and baguettes hanging on our door to get us started for our day. William was also readily available to give us suggestions on what cities/towns to visit, restaurants to try and shops to buy the best products in. If you are looking to be pampered in Provence, you have found the place! You will not be disappointed!Owner response: We were very happy to have such friendly and enthusiastic people to share "our" Provence with! They left no place unvisited...got lots of good practice of the French language... and were able to relax and enjoy each other's company. Hope to see Bob and Laura back here one day soon.

We stayed at l'Orangerie during 3rd week of August and loved our stay at this lovely place. This week with our kids was so relaxing, just close to the swimming pool where we met such nice & interesting neighbours. We really appreciated the warm welcoming team (William, Bettina & Olivier) always so sympathical. The name of Provence Paradise is self explanatory. There is no better choice, for sure. We booked already for 2008 ! Thank you to all of you there for making our stay a piece of paradise ! Hope to be back soon. Laurence, René, Louis & Valentine RobertOwner response: The fact that the ROBERT's spend the rest of the year in BELGIUM, which has weather considerably different from ours, makes our "hamlet" here in St. Rémy an oasis of sunshine! To be very truthful, Laurence, René and their children have their own kind of built-in sunshine! Very friendly, eager to mix with others, always looking for a way to help at the bar and/or the barbeque. Really a pleasure to be in their company! And, we are so happy that they have made PROVENCE PARADISE their holiday venue now for several years. Each time, they "experiment" in a different one of our houses.

We recently stayed at L'Orangerie with our baby daughter, in July and it was the highlight of our French vacation. The cottage was beautiful and very well-appointed. With a baby in tow, our stay was positively luxurious! William and Bettina were very welcoming and ensured that all of our needs were met. We had the perfect Provencal experience and look forward to coming back soon!Owner response: We appreciate your writing these positive comments, for all to read...especially those who come with small children. We are fully equipped. We look forward now to seeing you again with us in 2009...maybe even with another little one "in tow?!?" Would be great. There is still space! and, if not, we have other houses! Plenty of room for the MARTIN's

William--Just a quick note to say that Bob and I may be back in body, but certainly not in mind from our memorable trip to Provence. We consider ourselves so fortunate to have found such a warm and lovely place to stay at Provence Paradis. Please convey our thanks to Bettina, Olivier among others, for their willing spirit of helpfulness and pleasant demeanor. It wasn't just the sun that was shining every day! And most especially we were touched by your ready availability to assist in any way--and the morning gifts at our door made us feel very specially treated.Owner response: We were particularly happy to meet and greet the MARSHALL's, because last year they had to cancel their trip for reasons of bad health...and this year, they showed up here in fine form! Very happy and friendly guests, indeed.

Our stay at L'orangerie in Dec 2006 was the highlite of our entire trip.Having the opportunity to meet William and his staff was an extraordinary delite.we will never foget the hospitality and generosity and most certainly will be back for more with our family and friends.Owner response: These two, Christmastime guests were courageous. Mistral winds blowing outside, they crawled around with me in the attic of our newest restoration project, to bring two "new" houses into our 17th-century "hamlet." And what good ideas they gave us! Cannot wait to see their faces when they come again and we can show them how their suggestions were transformed into stone, brick, beams, etc., to yield two wonderful new "additions." "Come again and/or send other nice folks like you," is our motto.

Comment taken from our ORANGERIE guest book: Our stay at L'Orangerie has been lovely. A beautiful little cottage in a fantastic spot for exploring. Many thanks to all of you for such a warm welcome and for settling us in so well. Ellie enjoyed using the high chair and baby bath! We enjoyed our yummy, arrival dinner--thank you-- and it was great to have breakfast provisions for the following day. We look forward to returning in many years to come to continue to explore this wonderful region. P.S. We look forward to seeing an Aussie flag flying high on one of your new flag poles. We stayed at the L'Orangerie in February and it was the most wonderful experience! Bill and Bettina were so helpful with everything from picking us up from the train and letting us follow them so we would not have any stress finding our way. When we arrived there was a beautiful table set for dinner with champagne and flowers and even food for breakfast the next morning. The L'Orangerie had all the conveniences of home and just as comfortable. The L'Orangerie was just perfect for our "pre-honeymoon". Bill and Bettina made us feel at home and helped with everything we needed. We were just married and plan to go back to L'Orangerie for our 1 year anniversary. We tell all our friends about Provence Paradise because it is a Paradise in every sense of the word. I recommend it highly to everyone. definately gets a six star rating!*****+*Owner response: We LOVE success stories! Two "young" widowers who found each other, found us at L'Orangerie...and the rest is history and hapiness! We look forward to a return visit from the "legal" VOREL's. Wonderful people from the plains of Illinois... February at PROVENCE PARADISE is a great month--- sleep-in mornings, long walks along the canal to the village, bright and sunny blue skies, lunch at uncrowed restaurants, visits to the market at bargain prices...and fun evenings in front of a roaring fire.

Comment taken from our ORANGERIE guest book: Thanks to all of you for making our stay at L'Orangerie so easy, pleasant and comfortable. We had a nice mix of busy sight-seeing days and lazy days at the cottage. When the Mistral blew, we opened a bottle of wine and lit a fire. We'll have to come back next time in the summer to enjoy the pool. Little Eleanor slept soundly in the sweet crib you provided. Thank you. The place really was perfectd for us. We just spent three weeks in May at L'Orangerie. The Provençal sun shone every day, to our delight. The Orangerie was an even better surprise. Comfortable and well equipped, it was as if we were at home. Everything needed was at hand, with William and Bettina there to help us make the most of each day with answers to our questions and hints to help plan our excursons. There was wood for the fireplace, and candles in the drawer, to continue the Provençal mood into the evening, while we savoured the wine discovered that day and listened to the trickle of water down the hillside. The Orangerie's quiet patio, screened by greenery, and lit by candles, ended most evenings. We were delighted by the friendly welcome, the Provençal feeling of the house, the privacy, the quiet surroundings, in fact, the whole experience.Congratulations to William for creating a Provençe hamlet that let us experience a truly amazing vacation.Owner response: Two years of hard work to renovate these old, 17th century walls seem to give everyone great satisfaction! We are just as content as our guests and look forward to visits by other families from around the world, just like the HOREMANS. The more lands, languages and laughter, the better!

We had such a delightful stay at L'Orangerie! William lives on site and was able to provide recommendations on anything we needed. William and Bettina are gracious and generous and made our stay easy. They provided us with a cell phone and a computer which enabled us to stay in touch with work and friends and, therefore, relax! Bettina met us at the TGV station and escorted us back to L'Orangerie which made our jet lag recovery stress free. William and Bettina speak English which was also quite helpful! L'Orangerie was well decorated and stocked with everything we needed. It was very comfortable for my husband and I and our two daughters ages 6 & 8. I HIGHLY recommend any of William's properties!Owner response: We aim to please, sometimes going out of our way to make non-Europeans feel comfortable in this beautiful and interesting part of the world. We have a nice mix of folks from all around the world and each week or fortnight, there is a new zest to the ambience here "au Moulin Entre deux Mas." It's a bit of magic!
