"The Brown Pelican," is a four bedroom (plus additional den/sleeping area on the top floor-so essentially five bedroom), beautifully decorated and furnished, beach home. Watch the ocean sunrise from three levels of decks or the sunset over the Intracoastal Waterway... the views are amazing. You'll swear the house is oceanfront!
The layout of the house is great for family vacationing...all of the bedrooms have doors to a deck area and amazing views. There are three bedrooms on the first floor with two full baths, one bedroom on the second level with full bath, and the other sleeping area on the top level (with another full bath).
The bedrooms are configured as follows: master with king "the Martinique Room", second bedroom has queen "the Palm Room", third bedroom has a queen "the Sailboat Room" and the fourth bedroom has 2 twin beds "the Surfer Dude Room". The third level den, we call it the "Sun Room", with it's own private deck and bathroom has a queen-sized futon. For those with larger families, there is also a pull-out queen sleeper sofa.
The living/dining area and kitchen are located on the second level (a prime gathering spot for the family after a day at the beach). The kitchen boasts brand new stainless steel appliances, matching accessories, every kitchen item you will need... or treat the family out to one of Topsail Island's restaurants (only a five minute drive away!).
Bring Fido as well. Dogs are allowed on the beach year round! (limit 2 dogs).

I rented this property for a family reunion for my grandchildren. They do not see each other very often and I thought a get-together would be fun. Everyone had a great time. The house was great and just a short walk to the ocean. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting to go to TopSail Island.

THANK you so very much for the use of your wonderful house on Topsail Beach! We had a BLAST! The house is fully equipped and the perfect getaway for a large family gathering. There are plenty of bedrooms/bathrooms and the large dining/living room areas are perfect for a large group. Although it rained most of the time there, we still walked the beach and the area is very safe. Pam you were wonderful to deal with and very accomodating. Thanks again! Hope to be able to return and rent from you again! Karen

Our family had an early July vacation at this home! Layout was very good for our situation. Easy stroll to the beach, and the beah area family-friendly. Owner(s) very attentive to needs and follow up, to include a slight mishap mid-week that was taken care of the same day. If you're looking for a place that is family (& kid) friendly with easy beach access as well as an easy drive to area attractions, stores, and restaurants, this is the place to go!!
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers.

House is very nice for a beach getaway. It is a 2 minute walk to the beach... and has great views of the beach from all balconies. This part of Topsail Island was very quaint, not full of tourists, but easily accessible to groceries/shopping/food. This house was dog friendly, which was so nice. My dog loved running up and down all the stairs and the beach was very dog friendly too. The beach was beautiful, good waves, and we even found some shark's teeth. The owner provided great customer service, answered all my questions prior to coming, and was very quick with responses... as well as returning the security deposit. I recommend this house if you're traveling to Topsail... it was a good deal!
