The apartment was just as described, small but extremely well equipped and maintained. The property is very sunny and ideal for a short break, we found the space was adequate for three of us (3 women). Contact with the owners was easy and they were very helpful. The street is located 5 minutes away from the Moulin Rouge, but we had no problem with the area and certainly didn't feel intimidated at all. Some of the tourist sights are within easy walking distance, but the Metro station and a taxi rank are just a couple of minutes walk away at the top of the street. We were impressed with how easy the Metro is to use and how efficient it is. In four days we managed to visit most of the major sights including the Seine boat trip which we'd recommend. There's a wealth of various types of food shops and restaurants around the apartment. We tried several, all of which were very good. We particularly liked "Bistro des deux Theatres" on Rue Blanche. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly. The only drawback we found was the early checkout of 10 a.m. We were allowed to leave our bags until 12.30 p.m. but our flight wasn't until 5 p.m. We took our luggage with us and had an extended lunch until it was time to leave for the airport, but you need to take this into consideration if you have a later evening flight.

We enjoyed our stay at this charming, little apartment in Pigalle. The apartment is well equiped with a tiny balcony overlooking the street and with lovely views to Sacre Coeur and the Eiffel Tower. Lots of food shops near by with friendly helpful staff. Easy access to the Metro and within walking distance of Montmartre. Plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby to suit most tastes and budgets (can recommend Les Comediens on Rue Blanche). Perfect apartment for a couple. The small space has been creatively used to provide all mod cons but getting in and out of the shower is a bit tricky and wouldn't be suitable for anyone with limited mobility. The neighbourhood could be described as colourful being in a red light district which may bother some people but we felt perfectly safe. Would stay here again and recommend it to others.
