This is a spectacular home with many upscale features. It is a new house on the rental market since 2007. This 3,750 sq.ft. house has a spacious open floor plan with high ceilings and hardwood floors on the main level. The furnishings are all new throughout. The large great room has a fireplace, a serving bar, a 42' flat screen HD TV, and an excellent sound system. The kitchen is large enough to seat ten for dinner and is filled with every amenity needed for the perfect meal. The kitchen, great room and back porch flow together wonderfully which makes this house great for entertaining and perfect for all ages. The outstanding lake view can be seen from every room.
There are three master bedrooms with king size beds. Another bedroom with two double size beds and an additional bed room with a trundle bed (two twins), this room has a partition for the doorway. All mattresses and bedding are top-of-the-line for exquisite sleeping comfort. Each master bedroom has a private bathroom and plenty of closet space. The downstairs master has a 32' tv, a sunken jacuzzi tub, separate shower, tremendous walk in closet and doors that lead outside to the back deck. The beautiful lake view filled with abundant wild life is a joy to awaken to each morning.
A library filled with books for all ages, a game room with poker table and bumper pool will add to your enjoyment. Upstairs has a comfortable loft which is great for alone time or reading and taking in the lake view. If down time in front of the tv is needed then choose your room. We have a dvd collection with a variety of movies to choose from. There is a lovely screened-in porch off the kitchen and a large deck off the back of the house.
The house offers an outdoor enclosed shower with hot and cold running water. The propane grill is always ready for your use. The basketball area in the driveway is a fun way to relax in the evening. There are ten adult bikes and three children's bikes plus a toddler burley carrier and an equipment burley carrier stored in the four car garage. There are several sand chairs, kites, five boogie boards and beach toys ready for a play day on the beach. We also have plenty of beach towels, a blanket and an umbrella.
Our location to the beach is a short five-minute bike ride on the trail called the Allie of the Oaks. The beach is 11 miles long and a thrill to bike on every day. This is the best beach biking we have ever experienced.
The island has about 30 miles of bike trails that meander everywhere you would like to go. World-class golf and tennis facilities are present on the island as well as a wonderful children's camp filled with exciting daily activities and excursions.
A marina with deep-sea fishing and sailing charters are located at the nearby Bohicket Marina. Easy access to the city of Charleston is a great addition to your vacation. Fine restaurants are present on the island as well as in the city.
When vacationing at 43 Trumpet Creeper Lane you will be enjoying a tropical oasis which is hard to find elsewhere on the East Coast.

Our family had a wonderful time in your lovely Kiawah Island home in early August. We made great use of the bicycles, gas grill, card/bumper pool table and basketball hoop. The house is comfortable, spacious, beautifully decorated and the kitchen is well stocked. We especially enjoyed the spectacular view of the lagoon from the back deck and kitchen dining table. We will be back!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/2

My family, 7 adults and 2 near-adults(13 yo), enjoyed a somewhat rainy week. The house was well equipped for non-sun fun as board games, card games, reading, napping, etc. Bikes allow an easy ride to the beach or a shady paved trail allows an easily doable walk. The lake is abounding with wildlife, an occasional alligator and osprey. The owner was extremely attentive and helpful which adds to the comfort level of the rental experience. 43 Trumpet Creeper is on our list for a return vacation on Kiawah!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We just finished up a wonderful vacation in this home at Kiawah. Beautiful, big, and cozy home. The house has an awesome view of a pond/lagoon. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all clean and great size. We used the bikes to tour the island each day and take the short bike ride to the beach. Kitchen had everything possible in it. It was an awesome family vacation and we'd definitely rent this home again. The owners were a pleasure to work with. Well done and hope to visit again next Spring/Summer!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

This home is spacious, well equipped and beautifully decorated. We could not have asked for more. But we did! When my son-in-law realized the house television would not get the ESPN station airing the Ole Miss / Miss. State game, he called the owner who very graciously called the cable company and did whatever he needed to do to enable us to see the game. That is past accommodating. Everything that we needed was there or was provided.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.

We were instantly comfortable with the home, lots of space for everyone. Great kitchen dining space for meals and games. Especially loved the screened porch and view of the lake, lots of wildlife including alligator swimming past. Bikes were a bonus and we used them everyday.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

This was our second visit to Kiawah. 43 Trumpet Creeper provided the perfect place for our family of eight (ages 2 and up) to share great fun together (and separately!) on the gorgeous beach and the beautifully maintained walking/biking trails; to relax at the shops/restaurants at Fresh Fields; and from which to explore scenic Charleston and the great restaurants there. The house is in a wonderfully quiet lagoon setting, and the spacious kitchen/eating area, ample living area seating, three king bedrooms, and huge deck as well as screened porch ensured that everyone had adequate room. The house seems even larger than the pictures convey, and the owners work hard to ensure that everything needed is there--from bikes to beach towels and equipment. Having enough bikes for everyone made touring the amazing natural beauty of Kiawah easy. We didn't need our bikes, however, to see the alligator in the lagoon on our last afternoon! Brenda could not have been a more helpful host. We certainly hope to return!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

Our combined two families have vacationed together for years, usually at beach homes--some near the beach, some on the beach. Although this house was not on the beach and may even have been a bit further from the beach than we are used to (though still close), it is by far the nicest house we have ever rented. The photos were impressive to be sure, but they were also very accurate in depicting the home's beauty and size! It was also surprisingly reasonably priced, given its location (Kiawah Island) and setting (beautifully situated next to a picturesque pond). We loved that the house was well stocked with bikes of all shapes and sizes so each of us could bike the few minutes ride to the beach. We also loved the huge bedrooms, all nicely styled and well equipped with comfortable beds and every amenity you could think of (tvs galore, stereo, games, etc.). Beautiful and functional kitchen as well. And the owners were very helpful and nice and accessble before and during our stay. Cannot say enough good things about this house. We highly recommend it.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Perfect home and perfect island !!! After 20 years our family returned to Kiawah - THIS time at this splendid home by a lagoon. The home is beautiful, never feeling compressed with 6 adults living there. I will always recall with fondness our parade of bikes going to and from the best beach in the world. Great restaurants everywhere. I would return !Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

This property was probably the best we have enjoyed for the past several years. The 3 masters are wonderful. Great proximity to the beach We had adults and children of all ages and everyone had the best time. The house comes with enough bikes for everyone. We plan on going back next year. I really can not say enough great things about the property. Brenda, the owner, was very attentive to all our needs. Over all it was just a great vacation.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.

What a fabulous house! My family and I were able to get to beautiful Kiawah Island in January and we searched and this house jumped out at us. What a wonderful stay we had. So very comfortable and the decor is beautiful! The kitchen had everything possible and the lagoon views were a treat. So many bedrooms and a wonderful spacious open concept in the living/dining area made it perfect to mingle with family. Privacy too though and the view out to the lagoon is so pretty and it was so relaxing to be on the porch and watch all the birds and the other wildlife. So serene- a true escape. And then, if you wanted to get in some activities, the bicycles that were provided made it so easy to just get out and ride the trails as well as the beach! The bike trails are amazing and there are stops to check out the beautiful views. Kiawah Island is a true sanctuary and not to be missed. And thank you Brenda for making reservations an easy and stress free experience!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Great review Sara, thanks so much for all the complimenst on our home and Kiawah. Brenda

About the owner: My husband and I are thrilled to be owners on the island of Kiawah, S.C. We have loved visiting here over the years and then a dream came true to buy a home here and to rent it for use when we are not visiting. Our kids are grown now and we try to get together a couple times a year here to enjoy each other and everything Kiawah and our home have to offer. We love to play tennis, bike the island, go to the beach and to hunt for shells. Lately my husband has gotten into fishing and cannot seem to get enough of that. My favorite past time at the house is to sit on the porch and watch the wildlife around the gorgeous lagoon in the back yard. I really miss my porch when I am not there.
