My husband and I stayed here recently. It is a beautiful condo in a gorgeous property. It is far from the madding crowd! Yet close to the best restaurants. The kapalua beach is beautiful and uncrowded. The practice golf facility is affordable and a great way to warm up for rounds. The patio is so pretty to sit on. We cooked often and the kitchen is well equipped. it does not have the fancy pools and spas that the area hotels have, but we were not looking for this. Kaanapali beach resorts are a short drive away for water and snorkeling adventures. All in all, a great place to stay in Maui!

Great visit to Kapalua

This was our third visit to Maui, but our first in Kapalua and we loved the area as well as the condo. We've stayed in Wailea before but love the beaches and tranquility of Kapalua now that we've experienced it ourselves. Gina was so helpful in securing our reservation and answering all of my questions! My husband and I have two little girls and my in-laws joined us on this vacation, the layout of the condo is perfect for this type of set-up. We loved the pool but ended up spending most of our time at Kapalua beach which was a 2 min. drive from the condo or about a 15 min. leisurely walk. We had a fabulous meal at Merriman's (Kapalua bay) one night but just loved being able to cook in the comfort of the condo, a lot easier than a meal out with two kids under 5! The kitchen is well stocked and the entire condo was very clean and well taken care of. We hope to return sometime soon.

The views were amazing. We loved looking over the course and seeing the captain cook pines and then being able to see the ocean in the background. The mornings were perfect to sit out there to drink coffee and the late afternoons were perfect to sit out there when the sun was setting. The 2 bedroom villa was in a great location and well stocked. Loved the fact that the villa had so many spices to cook anything that you wanted. I just hate buying spices when on vacation to cook a few things. But we didn't cook much since the Pineapple Grill was just down the hill. We loved this grill being so close with such amazing food. If there, don't miss out going. And although the sign says open for Lunch and Dinner, they do have breakfast. And if you like sushi, visit Sansei sushi but get a reservation weeks in advance. Villa is also real close to Kapalua Bay which had some AMAZING snorkeling. The Villa had a few boogie boards which assisted us in the snorkeling by allowing us to hold in front of us while floating effortless. So it was great having the boogie boards and renting the snorkel gear from Snorkel Bob's which is just right down the road, past Kapalua Bay. Also, Kapalua has some great hiking trails. If you enjoy hiking, take advantage of the hiking trails in the area and take the Kapalua shuttle to certain trail starting points. Just make sure you bring PLENTY of water. We did the Mahana Ridge hike which was muddy in spots but well worth the effort for the 6+ mile hike. Beds, furnishings, cleanliness, etc. were all excellent!! We will definitely be back. Amazing 2 bedroom 2 bath Golf Villa!! Perfect for a large or small family (We have 4 children)

We just got home from our nearly perfect Maui vacation. We stayed for 13 days at Gina's absolutely lovely Golf Villa. The home is luxurious without being uncomfortable. It is Hawaiian elegance, nicely upgraded, while being incredibly homey and warm all at the same time. After our many busy days of sightseeing, scuba diving at Nipili Bay or Kapalua Bay, swimming at the Ritz carlton or just exploring the Kapalua grounds, we couldn't wait to get "home" to the huge walk in tiled shower, incredibly well stocked kitchen, and incredibly comfortable furniture. We would get our cozies on, cook dinner and relax on the lanai with our 3 small daughters and 18 month old son playing on the grassy lawn near the golf course in front of us. We would watch the golfers, while a perfect Kapalua sunset unfolded before us and we couldn't believe the perfection of the warm evenings and balmy breezes blowing through the lanai and into the living area of the Villa as we prepared dinner. The layout of the Villa is truly perfect for families with a few small children. Our daughters slept in the second bedroom (two nice sized beds) and had their own beautiful full bath and walk in closet. Our son shared the very large master with us and slept in the porta crib that is stored in the second bedroom closet. It was an ideal sleeping set up for our family. After driving all over the island we came to the conclusion that Kapalua is the most beautiful, rugged, and earthy part of the island. The deep blue of the ocean transformes into a color that can only be described as teal as the ocean flows into the numerous sandy bays. We couldnt get over the semming dicotomy of pine trees intermixed with the lovely palm trees that permiate the island. Somehow, both trees grow and thrive in the Kapalua climate and the result is truly breathtaking when they are growing side by side out of the jagged coastline of this tropical paradise. We are going to come back for an extended 3 week vacation, possibly in May, depending on the Villa's availability. There is no other place we want to stay when visiting Maui. Truly a Wonderful Place

Gina, thank-you for opening your vacation home to us, allowing us to enjoy Maui the way it should be enjoyed. The Villa was perfect, quiet, comfortable and well appointed. We all enjoyed spending time at the Villa, Kapalua and exploring the Northern shore (Olivine Pools and the Nakalele Blowhole) were are favorites. The Villa pools were a favorite for the kids, they liked the one closest to the Villa as this was the biggest one. Being right on the 10th hole of Kapalua Bay Course was a treat as well. Gina's recommendation of strolling down the cart path to the Pineapple Grill for dinner was a hit as the kids loved dodging the sprinklers on the way back to the Villa. The Honolua Store became the favorite place for lunch, great food and only a short walk from the Villa. The Golf Villa is truly a place we'd like to return to. Mahalo! From the first day when we contacted you for more information about your condo, we knew it would be a great experience! And it was! We traveled from Kansas to Kapalua with 6 people, including our 18 month old son for my sister’s wedding at the Sacred Hearts Catholic Church in Kapalua. When we began planning the trip, it was a little overwhelming thinking we may have to stay in a small hotel room without a crib and space for our son to play. When we found your condo on VRBO, it was perfect…and so was the price! When we arrived in Kapalua at your condo we knew we had made the perfect decision! The view of the golf course and the ocean in the background…nothing can top that! The amount of space in the condo was perfect for our son. You have no idea how convenient it was that you had a portable crib available for our son to sleep in! The bathrooms were gorgeous and the overall feel of the condo was very welcoming and comfortable as we called it ‘home’ for the week! The location was perfect with the church so close. Our favorite was the Honolua Store for breakfast and even lunch, and for any snacks we needed. Kapalua is amazing with unbelievable beaches and so much to do. Thanks for the personal communication and answers to questions about the island, where the good restaurants are, where to go, and what to see! We would highly recommend Maui and Kapalua to anyone! Wow!! My husband and I and our friends were not disappointed. The villa was better than described. The villa has everything that you need. The location is in walking distance to some of the best places to eat. (Pineapple Grill). Golf in your front yard. Ocean is close by, and the owners couldn't be more helpful. The condo could not have been any better! I have raved about it to anyone who asks! Great location, great furnishings, great view and the weather was perfect! We loved the Hawaiiana decor and really appreciated all the small details. We all loved the shower "room", it was truly luxurious. Our daughter had to take online college courses this summer so we were very thankful to have the wifi. The view from the lanai was unforgetable & we still talk about the entertaining golfers. Kapalua was the most beautiful area by far. We loved the shuttle bus, it made going to the area beaches so much easier especially since parking is extremely limited and gas was 4.85 a gal. We loved The Pineapple Grill, The Plantation House, Honolua Store, Hula Grill-The Barefoot Bar, Bubba Gump's, Cheeseburger in Paradise, Roy's and Leilani's. We snorkeled up and down the west coast and found the local beaches to be the best. We enjoyed the resort pools and using the barbecues. We will always remember our glorious 2 week vacation on Maui and hope that someday we can return. My family's week-long stay in villa 18V this summer was absolutely perfect. The villa is beautifully decorated, very spacious and clean. Me, my wife, her sister and husband felt right at home during our entire stay. The villa is decorated beautifully in traditional Hawaiian decor, and comfortable furniture. And though we didn't cook, the kitchen is fully equipped for those who choose to. We loved the location, where we could watch golfers on the 10th fairway of the Bay course, as they passed by. We relaxed with coffee on the lanai as we fed the birds each morning and afternoon. The two beach chairs and a large styrofoam cooler were handy. We rented snorkel gear and beach umbrellas at Snorkel Bob's in Napili Village. We would recommend this golf villa to any friends or family members without hesitation. And, Gina, thank you for being such an efficient host, answering my questions and responding promptly to my emails. We hope to stay in one of your golf villas again sometime soon. After staying at one of Gina's 1 bedroom villa's last year, we new roughly what to expect, but it still managed to surpass our expectations. The 16 hour journey from Scotland was well worth it! The villa is equipped with everything you may need for your stay, and Gina will arrange for any special requirements you may need if you ask. (We requested foam pillows as my wife is allergic to feathers) Sitting out on the lanai in the morning watching the golfers go past is so picturesque. I cant recommend highly enough the value for money you get for renting this villa, and Gina will make sure you will have no regrets. Thanks again Gina and Michael. My Wife and I, along with my Parents stayed the first two weeks of March 2008 in their lovely, 2 bedroom Golf Villa (right on the golf course). I am a little late in posting this but I have been overwhelmed with my job since our vacation to Kapalua. To begin with, I initially contacted Gina via the internet and she was EXTREMELY prompt in replying to my inquiry. After about 10 emails from me with many questions and concerns - I booked it! In fact I booked it 6 months in advance. I never had any doubts about this location. Gina quickly showed how organized and efficient she was which eased any concerns I had (as I hadn't done this before). As soon as I booked it I paid a small deposit and then paid in full about two months in advance of our arrival via my charge card. A week or two prior to our trip I had several questions and again - Gina was right on top of it. Having vacationed in Maui many times before...I know first hand all of the resort fees and "surprises" the Hotels hit you with upon departure. It was a pleasant experience to not have any "surprises" this time. The condo is very up to date and you cannot go wrong with the Kapalua area. Wireless internet was a treat too! My Father and I played golf at the Plantation & Bay courses...my Wife and my Mother enjoyed shopping in Kapalua and in nearby Whaler's Village...there is so much to do! Restaurants were great and we actually cooked a few dinners and brought in "take-out" many nights. It is our desire and intention to rent from Gina & Michael the next time we plan on vacationing to Maui. After staying in the condo...I can honestly say it was very difficult having to have to leave and go back to reality! We look forward to our next stay. Thanks again Gina & Michael! What a villa! After staying at one of Gina's 1 bedroom villa's last year, we new roughly what to expect, but it still managed to surpass our expectations. We just got back from Kapalua (Mar 20-31, 2008) and stayed at this 2 bedroom Villa. It was a wonderful experience for my wife, 3 kids and I. This place is first class and lots of space. It has all the amenities one would need for a great price in Kapalua. I was a little leary booking on the internet, but the whole process with the owners were top notch. With out a doubt we will return because Gina and Michael are great hosts. They were also staying at their other condo and came and checked on us making us feel very special. Gina followed up with us via wireless connection we had in this villa. Great experience, I almost hesitate recommending this place as I want to make sure it is open when we return. Gina,We are now home in Texas and adjusting to the change...we had snow yesterday (very unusual). We had such a great time in Maui and your condo was the perfect arrangement for my daughter's family. As you promised, the golf condo was just perfect. Lester and I were very comfortable with our 2 1/2 yr old and 8 month old baby. The condo was in great condition and felt very private. Your taste in furnishings is up to date and reflect the spirit of Hawaii. Highlights included playing at the beach, snorkeling, seeing whales, and going to the Ritz at night to hear live music.
