Nestled in the desirable NorthWest neighborhood, this charming vacation rental cottage offers the quintessential Bend experience. You will love staying at the Bend Bungalow. . . fully stocked down to the wine bottle opener!
Recently renovated, the bungalow has all new furniture, artistic décor and a clean yet homey feeling. Original hardwood floors, new windows, sustainable bamboo flooring in the kitchen and bonus room, newly painted rooms in warm, inviting colors all create the perfect place to relax after your busy days. The home is well maintained and spotlessly cleaned with green products.
Two bedrooms have queen size beds (one is a Tempurpedic style memory bed great for your back!). The bonus room has a twin day bed, with a pull-out twin mattress underneath for another guest. The bathroom has a bathtub/shower. A single car garage can be accessed from the ally with additional storage for your skies or kayaks or bikes. Our family’s inner tubes may be used for a refreshing summer float down the river or sledding down snowy hills in the winter. A covered patio offers a perfect BBQ retreat.
Experience the great location of the Bend Bungalow! Whether taking advantage the close proximity to the Deschuttes River, Mt. Bachelor or just wanting to explore the shops and restaurants of Bend, this location is close to the slopes (on the mountain in 30 minutes!) or a lovely walk across the river.
Neighborhood gourmet food market "Newport Market", coffee houses, restaurants, frozen yogurt and shops are within three blocks of home. Old town shops and our family’s favorite, the Deschutes Brewery, is a six minute walk down the street and across the river. Children will love the "boat park" one block away where there is also a ballpark and the walking bridge to Drake Park.
Don’t bother with driving and parking: Both the 4th of July and Christmas Parades start right in front of the cottage! Enjoy the three-minute walk to the summer time popular 'Munch-n-Music' with free concerts and movies at Drake Park and food from local restaurants.
Come be our guests and enjoy!

Bend Bungalow - a Walk in the Park to Downtown and River!
Year Purchased: 2006
Why the Owner Chose Bend
Location! Location! Location!
We love to walk or bike to get to the best restaurants or hiking trails. This location is easy to get to anywhere.
Summer nights on Fridays walk to the park for dinner from local restaurant food carts, fun and live bands.
Our local favorite. Good beer and good food (including kids meals).
Owner's Map of Bend
My husband and I grew up in Santa Barbara enjoying the beach and hiking in the foothills. We love to travel the world and have fell in love with Bend, which reminds us of time we spent in Taos, New Mexico. The high dessert sun, smell of the sage and pine, the Deschuttes River, surrounding lakes, and mountains all make Bend a wonderful place to get outdoors. Though we have to admit, the many good restaurants have us staying close to our home-away -from-home for an easy walk to dinner or a drink with friends.
Our children love being close to the park, Goodie's (ice cream parlor), and a short walk to home after a float down the river.
We hope you will enjoy Bend and the surrounding area as much as we do.
Cheers! - Lesley & Daniel, Portland, OR

My family had an excellent stay. The location was close to town for easy walking to dinner and coffee. and the off-street parking was a plus. Although cold outside, the house was warm and well-insulated. Highly recommended!

Bend Bungalow was just right for my month-long stay in Bend. The good location offered a lot -- the Christmas Parade outside my front door -- the nearby playground for my grandson -- easy walking access to Drake Park and riverside strolls to downtown -- handy grocery shopping at Newport Market and Devore's Organic Market. The home was clean and cozy and that Temperpedic bed was so comfortable! I look forward to another stay at Bend Bungalow and would recommend this home to friends or relatives.

We've been staying in rental homes in Bend and near Bend in Sunriver for years. We've never found a house that we liked so much! The location is perfect for us with a park nearby for the kids and a quick walk into downtown for grown ups! The garage is great for storing our bikes and the house was neat and clean. Parking is a little awkward for more than one vehicle you'll have to park on the street but if you want a nice cute little house that is practical, clean with the usual amenities, close to downtown this is it.
Owner response:Eric- So glad you'll be staying with us at the Bend Bungalow again. Next time you'll know about the Tinkertoys in the closet! Glad your girls found them finally! You are welcome back anytime.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with young children.

This is a lovely bungalow located in a perfect area of town. A short walk west and you can enjoy a game of pool, some fine dining, coffee cafes and the exceptional shopping at Newport market! Walk east and end up in the heart of town or the pristine Drake Park, where there is nights of live music and daytime art, farmer's market and activities for all. Mt Bachelor is just a 20 minute drive and the Cascade lakes just 40 minutes. Fishing and hiking surround you, and the scenery is breathtaking! This is the Perfect Bungalow for your visit to enjoy every aspect of Bend, Oregon!!!

We stayed at the Bend Bungalow for five days in July. We loved the house! My husband and I had our two sons with us: ages 4 and 2. The house was clean and there was plenty of room for our family. We found the owner, Lesley to be extremely gracious and so helpful! The location is excellent!! You can walk downtown, and if you have kids, there is a park right by the bridge. We couldn't have asked for a better location. We will definitely come back!!!

"We're so sad to have to return to Southern Cal, as it's been a really terrific - almost surreal - past month we've spent here in the Bend Bungalow. The place is terrific and thank you so much for your hospitality! We can't say enough positive things about Bend. The most pleasant surprise was how family-oriented the place is - what w/ their outdoor markets, free lunches for kids, public library, etc. Love that library! Thank you again!"

My sister, niece, and myself stayed there this last October, while visiting an ill aunt. It was wonderful. Perfect, and the agents and owner were wonderful and a real pleasure to work with. Defintely would stay there again. And it may be this coming spring. It is a wonderful place for toddlers and young children, open spaces without a lot of clutter.
