Just got back from our trip to France ( week in Paris, week in Provence ). We loved staying in this apartment ( accurately described in and out, very clean ). It was very easy to make all arrangements, pick up, sightseeing, etc ( thank you, Donal, thank you, Jill ). Actually, location was better then I thought, so close to the main street with all the happenings, markets, etc. There were four of us, including two teenage daughters and we all loved the apartment, comfy beds ( with AC ), well equipped kitchen ( cooked many meals there ), wonderful deck perfect for dinners. We used services of Donal as a tour guide one of the days and it was definitely a good idea - visited many Luberon villages - Gordes, Lacoste, Russillon, L'isle sur la Sorge - beautiful!!! Would recommend this apartment and Donal's services for sure. Don't forget to visit St.Remy and Calangues, if you go to Camargue use a heavy duty bug repellent, no kidding. The apartment is on the top floor with no elevator, for some people it could be a problem, but it gave us a guilt free passage to eat a lot of cheese. Thanks!!!
Recommended for:Sightseeing, families with teenagers.

This Aix-en-Provence apartment is the perfect place to hang out in the South of France. Aix is a great town with lots to see and do. You are steps from the main boulevard with lots of people strolling, eating the great ice cream or enjoying the outdoor cafes and restaurants. As well, it is easy to drive and visit to so many famous Provencial sites. The apartment is charming with old beams, tile floors and casement type windows. It is very well equipped - and what a treat to have a terrace and a barbecue. The market (T,Th,Sat) is less than two blocks away and filled with the most delicious treats to take home and enjoy. We ate at home five of the nights we were there, feasting on all of the wonderful, produce, dips, and seafood that were so simple to buy...not to mention the wine! The bedrooms are air conditioned- a necessity for comfortable summertime sleeping in Provence -and the beds comfortable. Modern showers, great laundry and a well equipped kitchen - what more could you want! And the WIFI worked perfectly (not always the case in house rentals I have found over the years). The owner has provided lots of guidebooks and maps as well as excellent advice on what to see, do and where to eat in the region. This is a great property and the property manager comes on a moments notice if there is anything yoiu need. A really delightful experience -I have already recommended the property to 2 friends and to my boss! The dinner we enjoyed at MITCH Restaurant was the best of my holiday this year. Make sure to visit Avignon, Bonneaux, Pont du Gard, And if you want an amazing lunch go to Auberge de la Loube, Buoux, It isn't haute cuisine but some of the best regional cuisine in the area. The hors d'oeuvres tray is amazing and so is all of the lamb. I went first in 2003 and it was on my "must return" list this time -and it did not disappoint. A wonderful drive to get there between Bonnieux, Sivergues and Apt- worth every twist and turn in the road.

Dear Jill, A quick note to say how much we enjoyed our time here in Aix and your lovely apartment. We spent a lot of time on the terrace and in your well equipped kitchen cooking. We loved Aix, so much so that we spent our 7 days here watching the world go by on the Cours Mirabeau. We hope to be back - we will tell all of our friends in Canada of your place. Thanks again.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Jill's apartment in Aix. I didn't expect to cook so often but with the markets, the great kitchen and fabulous terrace I couldn't resist. The parking space made having a rental car easy for almost daily excursions to the beautiful villages and towns and countryside that surround Aix. We dream of returning for another vacation in Aix some day soon. Thank you for this very special experience. Victoria & Michael

The flat was a home away from home with everything supplied. The garage for our rented car was wonderful to have , as it was safe and very close to the apartment. We thoroughly enjoyed all our fresco dining on your patio, and our trip to Cassis beach. The location of the apartment is superb, beside all the shops and markets. Thank you for providing us with your very gracious lift from the airport.

Thank you both so much for a lovely visit to Aix en Provence. We enjoyed the apartment, especially the patio where we spent time basking in the sun. Following our three week tour of Europe and eating meals out, we had fun shopping, we had fun shopping in the markets and cooking some of our meals in your Provence Cook Book ! Exploring Aix and the surrounding countryside at our own pace was quite pleasant. It is a beautiful area! Also thank you for providing us with milk, water and even a bottle of wine to get us off to a restful start; so very thoughtful of you! We have had a most a most enjoyable visit.
