  I stayed at the rear cottage for 10 days at the very end of last year. This review is long overdue. Unlike most reviewers, I did not come for a vacation. I came to the cottage alone seeking peace and quiet at a very stressful time in my life. I was also David and Wendy's first guest after their acquisition of this property. I absolutely adore Santa Barbara, and the beach itself has always brought me comfort. I chose this cottage due to its close proximity to the beach, the fact that it is fully equipped, and it is in a safe neighborhood close to everything I would need during my stay. The cottage is impeccably clean, nicely appointed, has quality linens and very comfortable beds. It afforded me the peace and quiet I so desperately needed. During my stay, a minor situation arose in which I had to contact the property manager late in the evening. The issue was immediately resolved, and the following morning David stopped by the property to make sure everything was ok and expressed concern that my stay not be interrupted. David and Wendy are locals, and will make every effort to make sure your stay is enjoyable in every way. I have absolutely nothing negative to report about my stay and I look forward to returning to the cottage at a future time. Best regards to all who choose to stay here, and I hope you enjoy it as thoroughly as I did. The cottage is a wonderful place to stay and has everything you need to enjoy the beach including bikes, towels and lawn chairs. It's very close to State Street, the beach and wharf, and has everything needed to cook in if you so desire. Thank you David and Wendy!

  We had a wonderful vacation at the cottage. David and Wendy are very attentive to very detail to create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed our mourning bike ride to the wharf and evening walks on the beach. As my family said the beds were very comfortable and house clean and decorated tastefully. We will surely be back again soon....

  We stayed at this delightful rear cottage in January so this review is quite overdue. We found new owners David & Wendy and their property manager, Eyal to be extremely accommodating. We found the cottage to be very well equipped, impeccably clean, and delightfully decorated. We are looking forward to returning as soon as we are able.

  Recommended for: Age 55+.

  We stayed in this lovely cottage on East Beach on a recent girls' getaway weekend! It was perfect, cozy, great location, easy to walk to the beach, and quick to get onto Highway 101, and close to nice produce store and Trader Joe's. It was clean, nicely maintained, with all that you would need for a perfect vacation. I would highly recommend it and looking forward to visiting again! Plus, the owner responds quickly to inquiries, and is kind and informative, and very professional, easy to work with. We took a day trip to the Chanel Islands, using Island Packers out of Ventura, and rented snorkeling gear from Ventura Dive and Sport, and would highly recommend taking the time to see Santa Cruz Island. It was how California was, 100 years ago!

  We vacationed in SB for 10 days & stayed in the back cottage. We are a party of five (myself, my husband & our three kids ~ 17, 14, 11 years old. Everything about it was great. Tracy is very easy to work with and gets back to you right away should you need to contact her. The location was amazing. We could ride the bikes, walk, and/or take the SB trolley to anywhere in the area. For places in town but further away, we drove. There is plenty of shopping, restaurants and lots of other things to do & see. The trolley that takes you up and down State Street is great. Everything you could possibly need is in the cottage. This was our first time using VRBO. I looked at many places in the SB area before picking this one. We couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. Thank you Tracy!

  My family and I just spent three nights in the back cottage of this location. We were very impressed with it! It is very apparent that the owners go out of their way to make you feel like you are at home. The entire house is packed with everything you will need. There is even a garage full of toys and bikes for you to enjoy. My kids had a blast playing in the backyard and so did we. It was only a five minute walk to the beach and there was a nice little market right around the corner. We almost stayed at a hotel, but at the last minute found this place. I am thrilled I found it! We made many beautiful memories. We will return and definetely recommend!

  We (2 adults, 1 toddler, 1 infant) just returned from a lovely stay in the front cottage. The space was well-appointed, spacious, and super kid-friendly. Location was perfect and as described- right near the beach, parks, wharf, and harbor. We were pleasantly surprised at how quiet the street is, given that it is so conveniently located. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Santa Barbara.

  We weren't familiar with the different neighborhoods in Santa Barbara, but after staying there, the location couldn't be better. It's steps away from the beach, but far enough from the busy parts that parking is still easy to find. There's a health food store around the corner that is like a small Whole Foods, with lovely organic produce and other local foods. The cottage is awesome, we enjoyed rinsing off under the outdoor shower after coming back from the beach, and once inside, it felt like home. We loved relaxing on the fluffy couch, with the door and windows open so the scent of lavender drifts in. We had a great time and are already talking about a return trip so we can stay at the cottage again. Also, the owner responded to all of our questions during every portion of the reservation process in a very timely manner; the contract was clear and no hidden charges from our respectful and typical use of the vacation cottage.

  We rented these two darling cottages for a week in June to celebrate my grand daughter's graduation from UCSB. What a grand time we had. There is a huge park right behind the back yard - and then the ocean. Ocean view from the living room. The adorable cottages could be furnished right out of a charming magazine. They are clean and well equipped and comfortable. My favorite part was opening the plantation shutters and windows and letting the jasmine and lavender pour in. The young people enjoyed the fire pit in the back yard. My grand daughter was so proud she invited a movie star, Bobby Caradine to our celebration., My husband enjoyed the great garage well stocked with bikes and beach toys. My cousin enjoyed walking to the wharf on Sunday for the amazing art/craft show. We also celebrated our 57th anniversary on the wharf. This was a time and place never to be forgotten.
