Arbor House offers the solitude of small town life in the shadow of a nationally renowned resort community. What makes this home particularly special is it's ideal location...nestled in a quiet neighborhood only a short walk to the village center of Pinehurst, its specialty shops, coffee houses, restaurants, pubs, and the Pinehurst Country Club with its famed Pinehurst #2 Golf Course!
This lovely home is larger than it looks! It is a newly renovated, unique cottage with original beadboard and hardwood floors. Its cozy interior is tastefully furnished, spacious and impeccably clean. The kitchen, lounging, and dining areas are well spaced to allow guests privacy or time together. The house sleeps six guests in three bedrooms. There are two full baths with showers. There is a fully equipped kitchen and dining area that seats 6. Guests can lounge comfortably in the living room with cable tv and a dvd player. We have an additional flat screen tv in the dining area and we offer free wireless internet! There is also separate quiet reading nook.
The Arbor House property also has plenty of room for outdoor entertaining! You can enjoy the evening sunset in the enclosed/screened in front porch. A large side yard wraps around from the front porch to the back yard where there is a a covered sitting area as well as an outdoor deck with a gas bbq grill and ample seating off of the kitchen.
There are more than 40 golf courses nearby, offering year-round golf. The luxurious Pinehurst Spa offers a great fitness room, baths and a pool for post golf relaxation. For those seeking a 'soothing' experience, indulge yourself with your choice of irresistible massages, facials, manicures and pedicures. Then float back to the cottage and enjoy the serenity of home. The owner has stocked the house with books, games and videos for family entertainment of all ages.
Come to the Holly Arts and Crafts Festival held in the village every 3rd Saturday in October! The annual Village Christmas Tree Lighting is a highlight of the year every first Friday in December! The Given Memorial Library hosts the Pinehurst Archives and Golf Museam! There are nature paths through Pinehurst's Rassie Wicker Park in Southern Pines, The Horticultural Gardens at Sandhills Community College, and The North Carolina Zoological Park in nearby Asheboro.
There are a variety of other cultural activities for artisans. Visit potteries in nearby Seagrove. Shop for antiques in Cameron. Spend a day shopping and dining in eclectic Southern Pines! The Pinehurst Harness Track offers horse shows, harness racing, and polo on weekends.
We provide everyday household necessities; linens/towels, coffee/tea, paper towels/toilet/tissue paper, dish detergent. Beds are made prior to arrival. There is a laundry room with a washer and dryer. Mid-stay cleaning and laundry service can be arranged in advance for an additional fee. The kitchen is fully equipped.
