Thank you! The perfect house and excellent location for our family, with a 6 and 9 year old. The beach was awesome, the house offers everything we could need or want. The setting very relaxing and the ocean sounds loved by all! I had a chance to read your book "Blue Water Gold Rush" in 3 days, exciting book and perfect for the week-end. We felt right at home, especially me (the Mom). Creekside reminds me of our long gone but not forgotten family home on Shelter Island in New York.

We had such a great time at Creekside Guesthouse. We definitely would love to return soon. The three nights passed much too quickly. The closed in sun room provided a nice area to sit with a glass of wine in the evening watching the wildlife on the creek. AND the flowers and wine you left made us feel so welcome! Our family enjoyed a wonderful weekend here! It was cozy with amazing natural light. The size fit our family (including the dog) perfectly. Our boys, almost 3 and almost 5, did just fine on the walk to the beautiful beach where we stayed way longer than we planned - rocks to climb, tide pools to explore and splash through, and sand to dig in! We even had an easter egg hunt on the grass that surrounds the property. We all loved putting out birdseed and spent so much time just sitting and looking out at the view. You and your home are very welcoming and we appreciated this wonderful place to get away and spend some great time together. Let me add, it was so nice to feel that town was just a mile up the road. On our first night we grabbed burgers and had a sunset dinner just across from the burger stand. We enjoyed exploring glass beach on our way home. The listing descriptions are accurate and we found the place easily with the driving directions provided. Thanks again.

The huge wall of windows provided a perfectly verdant view of nature, birds at the bird feeder, and even an occasional deer. My two little dogs had a great time sniffing around in the back yard and it was fun walking to the path that abuts the beach and wildlife preserve. This area, just north of Fort Bragg, is beautiful and peaceful. It is like being out in the middle of nowhere, yet there's a Starbucks not too far up Highway 1. Siteseeing in Mendocino is about 9 miles away, and about 1 mile North of the cabin you can drive to "10 mile beach" for a very long hike. Next time I visit, I plan to bring Wellies (rubber boots) for walking around on the moist ground in Mendocino County.

We had not been to Fort Bragg in a number of years. The guest house at Creekside was just what we needed. We walked down to the beach on both days, saw many shorebirds and songbirds. We appreciated finding the bird seed in the kitchen and the feeders in the backyard. The quail and sparrows appreciated the seed, too. We will be back, maybe with friends to share the larger house. The guest house was clean and well maintained. Your photos don't really do the house justice. It was cozier than the photos. This was a good find for us. Dear Jeanie, You've thought of everything! We knew we were in for a great experience when we were greeted by a cool sea breeze scented by sage and rosemary. What a lovely entrance you have! The bottle of wine was a thoughtful welcome...thank you! Your guesthouse is VERY well equipped. We thought that since this was not the "Main House" it would be a lesser accommodation. BUT WE WERE NOT WANTING FOR ANYTHING. We love being so close to the park and beaches. It was a short skip to all of our destinations. Our kids loved feeding the birds wtih the provided bird seed. Jeanie, Just a quick note to let you know my granddaughters an I had an awesome time. We never turned on the TV and I never heard "I'm bored". We ate all but one meal in the Guesthouse and found all the comforts of home. I would love to return again this fall with several of my friends and stay in Main House. I will be calling you soon. I just wanted to say how fabulous our vacation was. CREEKSIDE WAS PERFECT! I loved the view, especially watching the deer and birds down by the creek. Well stocked home with comfortable bedding and furniture in an easy access area to plenty of recreation. My husband, two tennage kids, and I just returned from a five day visit at Creekside. This was our first vacation house rental so we weren't sure what to expect. A post-holiday family vote was unanimous for a repeat visit (and you know how hard it is to please the teen-species!). The photos don't do justice to the beauty of the property. We found the half-mile walk to the nearby beach pleasant and convenient. On those days when the kids wanted to go to the beach or just crash at the house, my husband and I found many things to visit- Botanucal Gardens (a must), museums, Mendocino, strolling downtown. Jeanie and Duncan are very thoughtful hosts and provided dining (many fine choices) and recreational suggestions as well as in-house activities (movie, game, and music library). Thanks again for the wine and a great family vacation, Kathy, Steven, and kids

The discription and pictures do not express how homey and wonderful this jewel truly is. The minute we walked into the house, we felt right at home and believe me, we were not happy about leaving. Duncan and Jeanie were so welcoming and left a great bottle of wine for us. Every morning, we watched the ocean and the wildlife that live along the creek. Our stress went away instantly and we felt very lucky to have found such a peaceful place. Our dogs, Lucy and Rocky really enjoyed their run on the beach every morning and the easy access to the beach was a plus. Thanks again Duncan and Jeanie for your warm hospitality.

The minute I walked in and saw the big comfy chairs and the the view I FELT THE STRESS OF CITY LIFE DRAIN OUT OF ME. The house is very well equipped. I spent a lot of time reading and napping and LOVED WATCHING THE BIRDS AND THE DEER! You don't need internet here, I just went to the Mendocino Cookie Co. (Zappos) in town. You can sit either inside or outside with your laptop. Thank you for the bottle of wine...I don't drink so I left it.....BUT I DID DRINK IN THE BEAUTY AROUND ME!
