It is easy access to the beach, a ten-minute bike ride to Duck for shopping and restaurants, the community tennis courts are right down the street and the Southern Shores marina and a sandy sound beach are just minutes away. Or, you can enjoy just staying in and taking advantage of the oversized 18' x 34' pool, hot tub, bar and gazebo, or the many intimate decks and porches.
In the evening, settle back in the screened porch and enjoy the beautiful view as the sun sets across the sound and the warm breezes soothe your senses. Later, you can fix dinner at the outdoor grilles or in the large, well-stocked kitchen or head to one of the wonderful, close-by restaurants. After dinner, top off the evening with your own film festival in the media room or look for shooting stars from your hot tub. Then settle into your bedroom, the very large master suite, which features a secluded nine-by-fifteen-foot deck with a great view and a spa bathroom, including a Jacuzzi and oversized shower. And if you must work, there is a FREE high-speed, wireless internet connection.

Year Purchased: 2005
Maria is from Youngstown, Ohio and I am from Jersey City. Both of us love the beach and started coming to the Outer Banks 10 years ago. We love to travel and have been to many European countries - And the United Kingdom too. (They often don't consider themselves as part of Europe. The picture was taken in Prague by a Bulgarian couple. How international!
Why the Owner Chose Southern Shores
Maria went off with a friend - "Just looking", you know. She saw this house with its great views and left it to me to figure out how we could afford it. How nice of her! We had a house further north, in Corolla and sold it to buy this one. We love it
The Unique Benefits of this House
Our neighborhood is a mixture of year round residents and rentals. That makes for a peaceful area where people are helpful to each other. The pool is great and most people settle in there.
