Reserve your spring or summer vacation now. Enjoy a secluded mountain getaway on the lake with cool summer evenings. Go kayaking in the morning with our 3 kayaks on a pristine lake and go water sking in the afternoon on our 19 ft Sea Ray Ski Boat runabout boat. Hiking is also available on the Appalachian Trail just 5 miles away. The cabin is peacefully nestled in a cove on Lake Nantahala, just minutes from scenic Nantahala Gorge and the Great Smokey Mountains. This secluded non smoking waterfront cabin is off the beaten path. It offers almost complete privacy, but is close to the many attractions in the area. Our waterfront cabin has a large (20x26 ft)dock which is shared with one other home on an adjacent lot. Both houses can be rented together to accommodate large parties.
It is close to the launch site for world renowned Nantahala River white water rafting and paddling, hiking on the Appalachian Trail, the newly built Harrah's Casino in Cherokee, NC, Tsali Mountain Biking trails and the Smokey Mountain National Forest. Other attractions for the young and young at heart: antiquing (Andrews, Franklin and Bryson City), boating, fishing (lake and stream), golf, horseback riding, gemstone mining and the Great Smokey Mountain Railroad train excursions.
The home is like new and very clean featuring stone fireplace, heart of pine floors and a fully equipped kitchen, with microwave, and gas grill. It sleeps 8-10 people and with two master bedrooms, and is ideal for a two family vacation. All bedrooms have their own private bath and french doors that open onto either the upper or lower covered porch.
A short walk leads to a dock shared with one other home where you can swim or sunbathe. Rent both houses for large groups. Included with the home are our 19 ft runabout boat for the week, as well as three kayaks to tour the lake. We are perfect for active families who want to get away.
Our 19 ft SeaRay Runabout Ski/cruise boat is included for experienced boaters. Rental includes water skis, towable tube, ropes, and life vests. Liability waiver required.

Catheryn Perry, I reside with my family in Atlanta, GA. Our family enjoys getting away from the big city to "decompress" in the mountains, play on the lake, and totally absorb the peace and natural energy at Lake Nantahala.
Why the Owner Chose Lake Nantahala
There is so much to do in the area. The Appalachian Trail is five miles away. Kayaking and rafting on the Nantahala River is 30 minutes away. A short drive takes you into Andrews, NC, Bryson City, NC, or Franklin, NC and Asheville is only a two hour drive. We usually get up early and kayak on the lake and then take the kids water skiing on the boat in the afternoon. There is another neighboring cabin that shares the dock that is available for rent for large family reunions or for several families to vacation together.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
It is a very quiet relaxing area with plenty of things to do and plenty of time to do nothing as well.

My family stayed here this summer and we have a fabulous time! The cabin had plenty of space with lots of seating outdoors, lots of lake floaties, toys, etc. We were all very comfortable. In addition, we used the kayaks and speedboat which were such a blast for the kids. We went tubing every day and really enjoyed the relaxation and beauty of the lake. The cove of this cabin is perfect for swimming and privacy. It was so nice waking up every morning, strolling down to the dock and jumping in! The owners were great with follow up and very easy to work with. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing, lakeside vacation.

Our week with family was wonderful and have thousand of photos to prove it. Loved the location, the house and the whole experience. Kids 10 & 14, stayed on the lake most of the day and explored, fished, loved the rope swings and kayaked. It was like living in NH again with the dirt roads and many streams but without the mosquitoes! We brought our own boat but might have been easier renting theirs. House is well equipped with good kitchen equipment and still overwhelmed by all the bathrooms. I hope we can come back in the future. Kids went white river rafting and couldn't stop talking about it. The local restaurant was great also and boys had the giant hamburger...

We take a family vacation each year and we have all agreed that this years vacation at Lake Nantahala was the best. The lake is beautiful and the owners thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. It was really nice having a boat and kayak's available.

What a wonderful escape for fun and relaxation. Our family just spent the week here and could not have had a better time (save actually catching some fish!). The lake is pristine and having access to the boat made our stay even better. Everything exceeeded our expectations and we highly recommend this home. The Perry's do a first class job of making it easy and comfortable.
