This is a beautiful and very spacious 2 bedroom (150 square meters) apartment in the Larius condo . The French windows and balcony throughout the whole property make it very luminous and offer you wonderful lake views from every room and every corner.
The enchanting 19th century ‘Larius’ , which was once a hotel and has recently been carefully and completely renovated and is now home to many comfortable and elegant apartments and very popular with visitors from all over the world.
Situated on the lake road, running along the western shore of Lake Como, the apartment welcomes you into it’s elegant open plan living and dining area, with leather couches, and beautiful parquet floors, the colours here have been chosen to blend in with the colour of the lake and surroundings. On the side and back of the apartment, still with wonderful lake views, is the fully equipped kitchen, the 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
The main bedroom has ample closet space, a king size bed and lake view. The second bedroom, looks out onto the terrace and mountains at the back of the building. It has 2 single beds (which can be made into a double bed)and a hidden bed (so can sleep 3) . In the living area there is also a single sofa bed. So the apartment can sleep 6 people. The main bathroom has a Jacuzzi tub and the second bathroom is home to the shower, and the laundry area.
The building is a beautiful gated building with private underground parking, situated on the boarder of the ancient village of Carate Urio, still unspoiled by modernization, keeping its old world feeling with characteristic streets and stepped lanes crossed by low bridges which join the century old houses.
In fact many famous people have decided to make this area their own private paradise, for example Gianni Versace, whose beautiful villa is just 3 kms. south of the Lario apartment and also George Clooney's, delightful lake side home is 1 km north in the village of Laglio.
Everything here is new and has been chosen with great care, there are parquet floors throughout, Italian tiled bathrooms and modern kitchen. The furnishings, appliances, all linens and dinnerware are also brand new. The elegant furniture accommodates all tastes and offers our guests everything they need for a comfortable holiday, short break and business trip to Lake Como.
Of course, there are many vacation rental apartments all around Lake Como, this is NOT a vacaation rental, it is an apartment, created and furnished to be used year round, just sitting by the french windows, enjoying the local lake traffic is so relaxing.
This little 'gem'is only a 10 minute drive away from Cernobbio, the world famous hotel Villa D'este and the famous Villa Erba, where many exhibitions and trade fairs are held, the City of Como is a 20 minute drive away and of course Como is the silk capital of Italy, so there are many silk and textile factory outlets and shops in the town of Como.Milan is 50 kms, 1 hours drive, so it is also ideal for combining a holiday with the world famous 'Monza Grand Prix', or any other sporting or business events which you may wish to attend in Milan.

I have lived on Lake Como for the last 26 years, having married a native of the lake. I was originally born and brought up in London, of Italian decent and am fluent in both English and Italian, so feel confident in saying that you will have no problem comunicating with me. I am happy to offer any information about the lake, advies you on what you should see and do and can also offer tranfer services on arrival and departure.
