This is a great beach house that's comfortable, well maintained, very clean & has been our house of choice for the past several years. It's an easy walk to the beach, especially since we can load our chairs, coolers & beach bags in the wagon that's provided. We love to sit on the deck, listen to music (they have outside speakers) & watch the turtles & fish in the canal. The kids enjoy fishing in the canal, too. We've stayed at other homes in Island Park on the sound side & on the side of the canal, but prefer this house because the sun isn't so intense on the deck during the afternoon. The house is well appointed with comfortable furniture & plenty of room for everyone to sit and watch TV & have family meals at the kitchen table. We love that all but one of the bedrooms have a private bathroom & the matresses are excellent! I highly recommend this house to anyone who wants a clean, comfortable house that's close to the beach. We'll definitely be going back!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This house was close to the Sound and the Beach. Enjoyed having the best of both worlds. The house itself was well decorated and very comfortable. We have stayed in several places in Island Park and this was by far the biggest and the best, and just as reasonably priced. The place was even better than the pictures. There is a nice view off the back deck, so morning coffee was enjoyable there. Since it was on the end, there was more privacy than most places in Island Park. My family of 4 shared the house with another family of 5 and there was plenty of space. We rented bikes and rode around the island. The subdivision was a nice place for littler ones to ride. Most of the traffic on the streets were other bikes and golf carts. We rode to putt putt on night, and homeade ice cream the next. Every Friday night they have a live band until 8:30. We also rented a kayak and used it in the Sound. It was very relaxing. We ate in most nights, but one night we did go out to dinner at a place called Twin Lakes in Sunset Beach. We've been to the Giggling Mackarel and Sharky's, and also to the Isles. All were good but different than each other. I would recommend this house and Ocean Isle Beach to anyone that asks me. The owners were very friendly, and the entire beach/sound area are also very friendly.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This vacation home was very comfortable and clean. It has everything anyone could want in a home away from home, and is beautifully furnished. Not far from the beach and a very pleasant neighborhood. Would definitely use this home again.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Why the Owner Chose Ocean Isle Beach:
We switched from an oceanfront condo to a house as our family grew. We wanted something withing a close stroll to the beach with great views and a family-oriented neighborhood. We found it in Island Park. Our house was built as a retirement house, not as a rental, so it tends to feel more like home. Come check it out....we love it during the spring and fall.
