'We have had the most wonderful week - weather too, in this lovely tranquil setting. Our hosts Judith and Chris made us feel so welcome. We have enjoyed exploring all the areas around, sampling the restaurants and of course the wine. We are coming back next year for another helping of the good life' - Sarah and Ivan Cox, Northamptonshire 'What a wonderful introduction to our first visit to Burgundy. After a long journey from Ottawa, we were warmly received by Chris and Judith with a glass of red wine. Like others before us we have found En La Marre to be an ideal location to discover and explore the wine villages of the region. We plan to return!' -Annette Bourgeois and George Plant, Ottawa, Canada 'We had a wonderful stay at En La Marre with Christopher and Judith as our wonderful hosts. We enjoyed the markets, fresh cheeses, saucisson and pate and enjoyed cooking Burgundian food in our gite' - Lori and Andy Mazor, NYC, USA.Did you find this review helpful? We can't tell you how much we have enjoyed our stay at En La Marre. It has been an unforgettable 2 weeks. I especially loved your neighbours - the cows - what a treat! the couyntryside here is just breathtaking. A special thanks for your suggestions on restaurants, places to visit and that wonderful dinner. You are both so generous - it has truly been a pleasure meeting you.Did you find this review helpful? We've stayed in Chardonnay at En La Marre twice now and enjoyed it immensely. The setting is beautiful and the peace and quiet was extremely restorative. My parents stayed in Pinot Noir above us so we could enjoy breakfast on their terrace and dinner in Chardonnay's very sociable kitchen. You can help yourself to every culinary herb imaginable from the garden. Chris and Jude are great hosts and are very knowledgeable about the local area, particularly the wine. They arranged a superb visit to a local vineyard. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and there is plenty to do. Equally we enjoyed several days lounging by the pool, soaking up the sun and the tranquil atmosphere. If you are looking to relax and enjoy good food and wine this is the place for you.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+.
