The Vista Grande' Ranch, located in the beautiful Methow Valley, provides four season recreational opportunities in a private ranch setting. The ranch comprises over 650 acres with numerous panoramic views and is adjacent to national forest land.
The 4300 square foot log home with 1800 square feet of cedar decks, is ideally suited for larger groups who want to enjoy a rustic retreat in a completely relaxed environment, (2 to 5 couples are perfect). You may wish to participate in a number of activities on or near the ranch. Methow River rafting trips start just a mile from the ranch.
Some of Washington State's best Steelhead fishing is five minutes away. Daytrips on horseback to several of the high mountain lakes can be arranged, or bring your own horses and keep them on the ranch for your own self guided trips. You can go hiking, mountain biking, and swimming on the ranch, or just sit back and relax on the shaded decks, around the home and watch the horses and deer grazing on the hillside.
The beautifully landscaped lawn with a large octagonal cedar gazebo make the perfect setting for receptions, retreats, or just a fun barbecue with friends. In the winter, snowmobiling, cross-country and alpine skiing are all available close by. There is an excellant sledding/tubing hill behind the house, we can provide the tubes!
The custom-built, log home is made from huge spruce logs. There are private rooms for five couples as well as roll-out beds and futons in semi-private areas with enough beds to sleep an additional eight adults if required. The lawn area is expansive, landscaped, and well shaded.
The house has three floors with the following descriptions....
LEVEL ONE has a stone hearth, three bedrooms, a large bathroom, a recreation room with pool table and TV/VCR. Two of the bedrooms have their own adjoining private sunrooms just a few steps away from a large hot tub. The laundry is also on level one.
THE MAIN LEVEL is all log construction and has a large fully-equipped kitchen and dining room. The great room boasts a 25 foot cathedral ceiling, all glass southern exposure, woodstove with glass door and stone hearth, one bedroom with a walkout deck, and a large bathroom.
THE THIRD LEVEL includes the master bedroom & bath overlooking the greatroom through closeable cedar shutters. A loft connects the master bedroom to the entertainment room. There you can choose from a large selection of movies on DVD/VHS or Dish Network programming. Enjoy the big screen TV and surround sound system!
All stairs and railings are made from logs for a truly awesome appearance. The house is furnished with hand-crafted log furniture for a unique, rustic, yet comfortable appearance.
