The house was exactly as described. The location is excellent and the house is well equiped and a great place to hang out. The only thing that prevents an excellent rating is the loudness of the block. Be prepared for nightlife in the area but otherwise I recommend it without hesitation. The furnishings, including the bed were very comfortable and there is great artwork to enjoy. I also highly recommend renting a bicycle at Cheap Rentals less than half a block away. For $9 you have the use of a bike for the day and miles of beautiful (and flat) bicycle trails around the bay and up and down the coast.

Great place, very comfortable. Extremely hospitable owner. Everything laid out. Parking at first tough to find, but she has a map. Great TV setup, kitchen, wood floors. I do triathlons and it's very accessible to ride down mission blvd and run around bay.

I fell in love with this bohemian beach house, cannot recommend it highly enough. Walking into the loft unit I knew immediately this place was everything the pictures showed it to be and more. Beautifully decorated and cozy you really felt at home. The owner Ozlem was very friendly and made it known that she always available to answers any questions we may have had. A great convenience was the fact that everything we needed was just steps away. A tasty cup of coffee and bite to eat could be had a few buildings down at the Olive cafe. The beach and the bay were both right there, I would highly recommend renting some bikes and cruising along the boardwalk. We also rented a car while we were there, although there is enough in walking distance of Mission Beach that we could have just stayed in the area the whole trip and been content. With our car though we were able to venture out and see what San Diego had to offer. The zoo is a must see, it took us 5 hours but we were able to squeeze all the exhibits into one day. We also had fun wandering around areas of downtown. The Gaslamp quarter was great for bars and restaurants, but I was most charmed by Little Italy we stumbled across a farmer's market while there and the food we grabbed was delicious. If you do find yourself in Little Italy and in the mood for something sweet you must stop at Extraordinary Desserts, maybe the best Lemon Bar I have ever had. All in all San Diego was a wonderful place to visit, and coming home every night to this little rental place made it all the more wonderful.

So nice to arrive after a long flight and drive from Australia to this beautiful little town house that looks exactly like the pictures. The owner welcomed us and made us feel welcome and then left us to our own devices. Staying at Mission Beach, only 15 mins from San Diego and La Jolla, allowed us to relax and veg out but visit the busy places at our leisure. The olive cafe, almost next door does a great breakfast to set us up each day and the house is very well equipped so we self catered most days. Highly recommended.

This rental property is exactly as described and more than exceeded our expectations. Ozlem was very welcoming and helpful and the whole unit is amazingly cozy, yet spacious and comfortable. There are not enough words to adequately describe this property however, the best summary is that we felt at home from the moment we crossed the threshold. My husband and I had a great time exploring Mission Beach and Mission Bay (both only a few steps from the Bohemian Beach House). We rode the roller coaster, walked all over sightseeing, we also rented bikes (Ray's Rentals: great prices and only half a block away from the Bohemian Beach House) and rode around the bay as well as up and down the beach sightseeing for a different perspective of the area. We also had a bonfire with s'mores on the bay one evening (from a flyer at the unit with a phone number of a nice young man who came and set up the fire pit, started the fire, left wood to keep it going, left all the s'mores supplies, and came and dismantled everything after we were done). Every place we went in Mission Beach we came across friendly and helpful people and everyone was relaxed and laid back (especially Ozlem). It was almost as though we were in a different world far away from the rude hustle and bustle of home. We enjoyed our time in San Diego and if you are looking for the perfect place to stay and relax for your vacation, I highly recommend this property and guarantee you won't be disappointed because there is so much to see and do and experience. It was just 100% perfect!

San Diego is an amazing place & as we had never been before we didn't really know what to expect - but it really is as you imagine, beaches, sun, & surf but also the city with shopping, restaurants and great things to do like see the pandas at the Zoo! We loved the look of Ozlems place from her pictures & she was always quick to reply to our emails with helpful answers. When we got there we were pleased to find the apartment was exactly as in the pictures. It is quirky but cosy, on a street with enough to keep you busy at any time, but you can also shut the noise out and draw the curtains in the evenings. We got used to using the bus, a number 8 goes from more or less right outside into the Gaslamp quarter & costs $5 for a day ticket which you can use on any bus (useful for switching to the 30 to get to the Zoo). It was really nice to be 30 steps from the bay which was peaceful to swim in, and on the other side to have the beach - great for people watching and a bit more lively. There's some great places to eat nearby too & Belmont Park is fun to walk to (only 10 mins) and try out the big rollercoaster! There's a local shop a few doors down called The Hub which has a few things & Ralphs supermarket is a 10 min walk away. Inside the apartment is everything you need and the music system was really good playing in all rooms so you can even listen in the shower or jacuzzi bath. The washing machine was useful too although there's not much space to dry things - but a towel or 2 on the balcony was fine. There is a big american fridge freezer with water & ice dispenser which was great as it was pretty hot. We also used the gas hob to cook breakfast a couple of times so that was nice to have. We didn't see Ozlem while we were there but she answered emails and the phone during our stay & was always very helpful. We would definitely stay again for a great location, amenities & host! Thanks Ozlem!

This place is exactly as cool as it looks - and comfortable, too. Well appointed and with easy access to the beach or the bay, to Seaworld or the local vibe...whatever you are looking for, this is a great home base. For those who may be concerned, no - its not overly loud here either. Sure, there are sounds from the town but nothing excessive, nothing that will keep you up. Go for a run on the Ocean Walk one block away or hang out here where there is free wifi or rent a bike from the shop out front and see where the day takes you....my husband and I loved it!

My husband and I had a wonderful vacation stay here in April. We stayed in the upper unit which is comfortable and beautifully furnished, with all necessary amenities. The location is wonderful with the ocean just steps away in one direction and the bay just steps away in the other direction. There are many wonderful places to eat, shopping and recreational opportunities within walking distance. It was great to have a parking space available for our rental car. All San Diego tourist destinations are a short drive away. Some of our highlights included a lovely Easter brunch cruise, renting a sailboat for a sunset voyage, the San Diego Zoo and shopping and dining downtown in the Gaslamp District. Be sure to check out Authentic Luxury Goods at 919 6th Avenue, scheduled to open July 1st. It was nice and easy working with Ozlem, the property owner, in arranging our stay and responding to questions we had.

This was like a home away from home. We would definitely stay here again. Everything we needed was there. Just a block from ocean or bay, both great for a morning walk. Good food just steps away. The bed was comfortable, shower great. Having a parking space is a must at the beach, so that was a plus. The owner was great to work with. There was a bottle of wine for us when we arrived. She has thought of everything you could want while away from home. Don't hesitate to book this fabulous loft.

Awsome wood flooring throughout. Decorating made it feel like home. 1 block from Beach and one block from Bay Would definately return for another visit. Con: Traffic sometimes loud at night. However, it was during spring break.

This was a perfect rental, I couldn't have been happier! Steps away from the beach and the bay...a great spot in Mission Beach! The owner of this property is wonderful, and has done such a great job of creating a rental that feels just like home; it is very well kept and has all the amenities you will need. This property was in an ideal spot for my husband and I. It is within walking distance to so many shops and restaurants that there is hardly a need to drive anywhere! We enjoyed every minute of our stay and will certainly stay here next time we are in San Diego. This rental is even better in person...the pictures can't do it justice!

We stayed in this Mission beach loft for the last 4 days of a month long holiday in the USA from the UK. the loft is even more gorgeous in reality than in the photos. Oslem had left us a bottle of delicious wine which we thought was a lovely touch, she could not have been more welcoming. We had a wonderful relaxing time in this loft. It is very well equipped and beautifully clean we both love cooking and found that the cupboards contained everything we needed and more. The loft is situated very close to the beach, walking distance to a fabulous fish restaurant, bars, a Mexican and a great supermarket. we had a car the loft has a parking space within walking distance we visited San Diego and all the surrounding places of interest. we would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone it was lovely.

We stayed at Ozlem's loft apartment for 3 weeks over the Xmas 2010-2011 season and we really liked the apartment. Location is excellent- you are 2 minutes away from the ocean/ beach on one side and also 2 minutes from a beach on ther bayside on the other side- excellent for early morning walks and runs followed by lattes and breakfast at either Cafe Mono or The Mission- both are just a few minutes up the street. La Jolla is just a short drive away (maybe 10 minutes if that). Garnet Ave, with shops & bars and a Ralph's (big grocery strore chain) are just a few minutes away. Also, the Highways to head over to downtown San Diego and are just minutes away. Parking is just around the corner and the spot is fine- we had a Toyota Corolla and there were no issues with space/ getting in or out. The apartment set up was really nice and it had all the dishes, pots, pans etc that one needs. I was doing some work while I was away and there's a nice little desk in the loft area that was good for laptop work and the Internet connection was totally fine. The owner (Ozlem) is right downstairs and if we had any questions we just e-mailed her and got a response within minutes, that's a godsend- really helpful having her right there. Ozlem is super nice and very helpful and there were no negative issues with anything. Restaurants- mmmm many good ones...JRDN is not far away- go for the super good bar menu happy hour. Cuchina Urbana- really cool Italian place over in San Diego. Roppongi for sushi in La Jolla (also a great happy hour). Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, LA and Santa Monica are all not far away. I would highly recommend staying at the Loft apartment if you are in San Diego/ Pacific Baech...have fun.

My partner and I LOVED this house. If you think the photos are amazing, just wait until you step foot inside the property. So many details, like fresh flowers and plants, colorful paintings and charming knick-knacks made us feel truly at home (although I WISH our apartment were as well thought-out as this!). Even with the beach and bay just around the corner, sometimes it was hard for me to leave the house. It was truly that cozy. With regards to the property, we wanted for nothing. Well, we would have loved a larger parking spot (our Mustang was an extremely tight fit) BUT we realized that we were super lucky to have had a place to park! The only other drawback is that the house is located directly across the street from a bar/resto, Guava, that can get a bit noisy depending on the night. Thankfully by 2 AM lights were out and and all was quiet. My advice? Just join em. The drinks are good and the nibbles are tasty as well. There are tons of places to eat and drink in the area within easy walking distance, so in my opinion the location is excellent. If we're lucky enough to have the chance to return to SD, there's no doubt in my mind that we'll return to Ozlem's sweet beach house. Word and pictures truly do not do it justice.

My family (myself, my wife and our 10-month old daughter) stayed here for the month of July, 2010 and we loved the place. The unit is beautiful and has a full kitchen, something that was important to us because we love to cook. The bed is very comfortable and the balcony out front provides a great place to sit and people watch. The unit is very clean, uniquely decorated, and has everything you will need for your stay. It is in the heart of Mission Beach, within a block of the ocean and the bay, within walking distance of shops and restaurants on Mission Blvd., or a short drive from shops, restaurants, and grocery stores on Grand and Garnet. Off street parking is provided, which is a must in Mission Beach. Ozlem, the owner, was great and provided us with anything we needed. If you are looking for a unique, comfortable, and convenient place in Mission Beach, you can't go wrong renting this unit. We highly recommend it.

We just recently visited San Diego again after 4 years. I searched and searched for an idea rental property on Mission Bay for my spouse, son and I and found this tucked in treasure on Mission Bay! Shabby chic, so beautifully decorated and cozy you feel right at home. It's centrally located to everything and right in the hub of everything. Just steps to the beach on one side and bay on the other. There were plenty restaurants, coffee/pastry shops, stores and not to forget Belmont park and Sea World within the area. The owner of the property was such a jewel and provided us with everything we needed. Ozlem your gracious hospitality was much appreciated! And my son was so happy you had boogie boards for him to enjoy at the beach, made for a wonderful experience and memory for my son. Wish we could have stayed longer. We plan on being back again in the future :)

My husband & I stayed here for our anniversay weekend in April 2010 and can't say enough wonderful things about this rental unit! We loved everything about it from comfort to location. The unit is beautiful and there are many stores and restaurants within walking distance. Mission Beach is a very short walk in one direction and then Mission Bay in the other. The bed was so comfortable we wanted to bring it home with us! Great little balcony/patio that overlooks Mission Blvd. And we even had a reserved parking spot just for us! We can't wait to stay here again! We highly recommend staying here if given the chance!

My girlfriend and I stayed at the brilliantly located house in Mission Beach for three weeks in the run up to Christmas, and had an amazing time. The property is delightfully furnished in a European chic and yet still has all modern conveniences. Being just 40 paces from Mission Bay on the one side, and forty from Mission Beach the other makes it the ideal place to watch the promenaders or to chill by the bay. There are bars and restaurants aplenty in walking distance, and San Diego town is about thirty minutes away by regular and excellent public transport. If you're looking for comfort, convenience and the beach/bay, you'll be hard pressed to find better. Matt
