'Spec's Place On The Lake' is located in Turkey Mountain West (the quiet side of the lake) just minutes from the town of Shell Knob. Spec's Place will provide you the vacation you've been dreaming of. Relax on the covered deck overlooking the lake and take in the scenery. We are just a walk to the lake. Our boat launch is just a couple of blocks away. Boat slip accessible and available. Many amenities are included in staying at Spec's Place on the Lake including a place to launch and dock your boat. Take the boat out on the lake for some tubing/swimming and if you get the munchies stop in the several restaurants while out on the lake . If you want to spend the day shopping, there are several flea markets and antique malls in the area or you can spend the day in Branson or Eureka Springs.
The house is cozily settled on a private cove away from the hussle bussle of traffic and noise. The property gently slopes down to the lake. Spec's Place is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen easily sits six at the dining table and four at the bar. Dishes and condiments are provided along with a gas grill and picnic tables. Don't bother arguing who is going to do the dishes because a dishwasher is waiting for all those dirty dishes.
Just want to watch TV? A video library, DVD and satelitte TV is available for you to enjoy, as well as plenty of games for your enjoyment along with playing cards.
No need to worry about not bringing enough to wear, we have for your convenience a washer and dryer; towels and sheets are also provided.
Relax with your morning cup of coffee while sitting out on the deck swing enjoying the lake view. You can't ask for a more tranquil moment.
For luanching your boat there is a boat launch just a few blocks from Spec's Place. The Big 'M' is the closest marina by boat. You can purchase supplies, gas and food and they have a restaurant open for lunch. If you want to rent a boat, Campbell's Point Marina is the closest by car. You can drop off someone to take the boat to our cove.

Our family has spent a week at Spec's place several summers over the past 8 years and we are returning again this summer. Spec’s Place is a wonderful lake house, with a large covered patio and front covered deck. The walk to the dock and boat slip is short and easy. Spec’s Place is a great location on the quiet end of the lake, where the water is almost always flat, and on the water dining is a short boat ride away.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children.

We have been taking our annual trips to Table Rock Lake for many years. In 2010, we stayed at Spec's Place for an extended weekend. Ever since, Spec's is the first place we check to reserve our next vacation. Spec's has everything: covered dock/boat slip, large deck, close proximity to water/boat ramp/food/groceries/gas, very private area, always clean, tons of room. Renee is very friendly and goes out of her way to accomodate us everytime we've been there. The neighbors around the area are very friendly and make you feel right at home. We can't wait for our next trip down to Spec's Place on Table Rock Lake!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Wonderful home, great location in a quiet area & fantastic lake all make for a fun, memorable, relaxing family vacation! Near enough for day trips to Springfield, Eureka Springs & Branson. Several places to eat nearby by car or boat or cook out on grill & enjoy peaceful patio area. Worth going back again & again! A perfect lakehome away from home! Love it!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

It is a getaway that can either relax you by just sitting on the deck and overlooking the lake or energize you by tubbing or skiing on Table Rock Lake. We have many repeated guests and open our house to you for an enjoyable stay. References provided.
Why the Owner Chose Shell Knob:
As our children moved away and started their own families it only seemed right to purchase a place on the lake so we could all get together and have fun. We chose our particular property due to the lake location, beauty and peaceful environment but yet close to other areas of interest.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We fell in love with the house and proximity to the lake. It was a retreat from the hussle bussle of a busy lifestyle bringing serenity and beauty to all who visit with Turkey Mountain National Forest and Table Rock Lake surrounding the area. Beauty, quietness, spacious house, and fun! When we first arrived at the house, a lake dog named Spec's was there to greet us. Whenever we returned he was always there happy to see us. When we decided to share our home it was only right to name our property 'Spec's Place on The Lake.' Spec's is no longer with us, but his memory lives on.
