  • My family and I rented the Belmont for our daughters graduation at the University of Chicago. It was the absolute BEST place we could have rented! It was roomy, homey, near the transit, centrally located and afforded us a relaxed home-like atmosphere for the several days we spent in Chicago. I highly recommend it and will surely return over the next 4 years, to visit another child that is also living in the city. This is one of the best kept secrets of Chicago!

  • We had the pleasure of staying in the Chicago Guest House's Belmont Suite for five days in mid-July this year (2009). First and foremost, Teri Smith is the utmost in professional, courteous and thoughtful innkeepers and I was beyond impressed by the customer service I received even before we arrived in Chicago. Teri made sure we had directions from all points of entry into the city and checked with me personally to ensure we understood how to make our way to the guest house. She met us in our gorgeous accommodations, just a few blocks from Wrigley Field, and gave us walking directions to the nearest grocery stores, entertainment venues and other points of interest. To be sure, she literally had a reference book for restaurants, nightlife, shopping, transportation and truly anything we could have needed to know for our stay in Chicago! We were traveling with our children, as well as my mother and sister, and the guest house was roomy, sparklingly clean and extraordinarily comfortable. One of our daughters became ill on the trip up to Illinois and, when she needed emergency medical attention, Teri was a wonderful resource for how and where to have her treated. Fortunately, she recovered quickly enough to enjoy the last days of our trip. However, she greatly enjoyed all the comforts of home at the guest house while she was feeling poorly. Without a doubt, I would recommend Teri Smith and The Chicago Guest House (particularly the stunning Belmont Suite), to anyone planning a trip to the Chicago area. It was a wonderful experience and, when we travel to the area again, Teri will be my first call. Thank you so much!
