Located at 6000+ foot level, our mountain home is located high in the Valley (snow country) in Pine Mountain Club - a close destination with a far-away feel. And, because there are no stop lights or street lights, no sirens, no car alarms, no noise from neighbors or 'village' activities, no smog or traffic, you'll feel miles away from noise and city life at our mountain home. Pine Mountain Club has a true four-season mountain climate and is the perfect year-round destination for a getaway! (Check link for more photos of our home; additional photos are always available upon request.)
Located on a beautiful & very QUIET street (off the beaten path of main / noisy / busy streets like Woodland Drive), one of the quietest areas on the Mountain, yet just a 2 minute drive to the Village / clubhouse / golf course, our home is two-story, has a lovely, open floor plan with knotty pine high-vaulted ceilings in the great room, custom granite island top in the kitchen, six-panel doors throughout, dual-pained windows (which keep it cool in the Summer and warm in cooler months) and Levolor blinds, sleeps UP TO four (4) w/ two private bedrooms (2 new queen beds, both with pillow-top mattress covers and heated mattress pads), a Graco Pack n' Play (bring sheets), two baths (one w/ a large two-seat walk-in shower). Our home is designed for one or two couples, but might also accommodate a small family. (Sorry, we cannot accommodate more than four (4) occupants at any time.) With a great southern exposure, our home is considered 'passive-solar'. Modern (built 12/2003), our home is beautifully decorated with mountain comforts (no 'hand-me-down' furniture here!), upscale amenities (we have an incredible 580+ movie collection & Wi-Fi, we offer popcorn, hot chocolate & herbal teas, plus much, much more), our home is exceptionally clean & comfortable (1160+ square ft) with wonderful, unobstructed mountain views. Our upper deck, which we recently replaced, faces south and west and is great for outdoor dining / grilling and stargazing; the sunsets / night-sky are spectacular from our deck and will put on quite a show! The lower deck is shaded and is a great place to set-up the hammock (provided)! We back to the Los Padres National Forest - wildlife (deer, raccoon, bobcat, mountain lion, coyote(s), bear, fox, bunnies, squirrels, quail, dove, hummingbirds, stellar & scrub jays) abounds. And when there's SNOW, the hillside behind our home (at 6000+ feet) is perfect for sledding! Mt. Pino's (8300'-8800') is just 15-20 minutes away and, as the locals know, is a GREAT cross-country skiing and snow-play destination! It's also a great hiking /biking / picnic area, too with incredible views!
We provide a BOSE Stereo System with remote (which offers EXCEPTIONAL sound) - so, bring your CD's! We have a new 40' HDTV flat screen cable TV in the great room (a.k.a. the 'keeping room') & cable TV in each bedroom - we also have a Carbon Monoxide detector, a State requirement for all vacation rentals. There's a nice, new glass-top patio table w/four chairs on the deck for outdoor dining, along with a large relaxing hammock - perfect for the lower deck, two large market umbrella's and binoculars for your use and enjoyment. There's also a Weber grill & grill utensils; please bring charcoal & lighter fluid.
NOTE: Due to our elevation (6000+ ft) on the Mountain, SNOW may be present or occur during cooler months. (If rain is expected in So. Cal, you will likely encounter snow in the Winter at our 6000+ elevation.) Please know that our roads are very well-maintained, but area CHP requires that you carry chains and / or have a 4x4 vehicle when snow is possible. Snow shovels are provided. Please check the Association' link below for current and historical weather information. PMC Security patrols our street 24 / 7.
If a close, relaxing, year-round getaway is what you seek, and you appreciate a very quiet, very clean, sophisticated, well-maintained, upscale mountain home - a home that shows 'pride of ownership' - we truly welcome you. Attention has been paid to EVERY detail in our mountain home and, because this is our second home, we offer amenities that are not typical / average of most 'rentals' here on the Mountain. Check our guest comments and see why they return again and again.
Rental includes all taxes and up to four (4) guest passes to club facilities; 3 phones (with answering machine) are available for local calls; please bring a calling card for long distance calls. Note: Cell service is now available on the 'Mountain' for Verizon customers!

We supply Duraflame logs (no need to bring firewood), and ALL utilities/taxes are included in rental rates. Note: Luxury linens (800 ct sheets for the two queen beds, & extra plush/soft white cotton towels for up to 4) and/or cleaning service can be provided for an additional fee. Inquire by email for linen / cleaning rates -- otherwise, please bring sheets / towels and follow the cleaning / closing checklist at our home.
This is a non-smoking home and, due to the drought and the extreme fire danger in the area, smoking is NOT allowed on our property. One well behaved dog will be considered for a small fee; please disclose when inquiring. Second dog may be considered - please inquire for rate. (No cats, please.)
We currently accept personal checks drawn on US banks (received 15 days prior to your reservation) and E-Checks, preferred and free to renter. Please CHECK OUR CALENDAR then email your desired dates and we will email our Terms and Conditions document & Rental Agreement to you for your review and signature. We also offer mid-week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) discounts! See discounted mid-week rates below. Additional discounts may apply for 3+ day stays - just ask!

Mt. Pino's is an excellent / un-crowed Cross-country / snow-play / sledding option when there's snow. We're approximately 20 minutes from there and 35 minutes from Pyramid Lake (a great boating / jet and water-skiing venue), 40 minutes from Castaic Lake, 45 minutes from Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia. 89 minutes from the beautiful Ventura coast. Pine Mountain Club offers many 'Mountain' events including: the 'Concerts on the Green' series throughout the summer months (we love these!) as well as live theater productions under the stars. There's also a Lilac Festival in May, the 'favorite' Wine in the Pines event early June, the really cool Antique Car Show in August and the new 'Blues, Brews and BBQ' event, which is held each Labor Day weekend. There's also a Chili Cook off in early October and the fun and safe Halloween alternative 'Trunk or Treat' hosted by Village merchants and locals, as well as many other seasonal events throughout the year. Check the Association link for all of the details! The beautiful, quaint Alpine Village offers many dining options for you to enjoy, a coffee / Internet shop, a pub, a great bakery with daily soup specials, gift / clothing / antique shops, a gym (discounts offered for our renters), a general store /market, and a Laundromat. A new ice cream shop has opened -- enjoy a cone as you stroll the Village! The clubhouse offers a very nice Bistro with daily specials, as well as a lounge overlooking the golf course, golfing, tennis, seasonal pool, trail rides, a fun rec room for the kids and a kid-friendly park! Up to four (4) guest cards are provided free for your use and enjoyment. Back at our mountain home, you will enjoy star-filled skies, beautiful sunsets and peace and quiet!!
Year Purchased: 2004
About the owner: As a general contractor with an eye for design and a human resources director who enjoys cooking, interior decorating, photography, hiking and crocheting, we reside in Ventura. Our mountain home is very special to us and we escape to it often and find the location ideal (just an hour and a half away). Attention to detail is number one with us and we pride ourselves in offering a very clean, upscale, peaceful, quiet, Zen-like option for your mountain getaway.
Why the Owner Chose Pine Mountain Club:
We truly love the Mountains! After considering Mammoth Lakes, Big Bear, along with other mountain areas, we found our home in Pine Mountain Club. It's so close -- we absolutely love it! Built in December 2003, our home faces south (with west views, as well) and is considered 'passive-solar' - a hidden jewel with its' unobstructed mountain views -- the sunsets from our deck are truly amazing; the night sky will put on quite a show! We offer upscale amenities, including Wi-Fi, phones for local calling, Verizon cell phone service and cable/TV in each room, a Carbon Monoxide detector, along with lots of extras! Leave your cares at the door and enjoy the upscale comforts our mountain home provides.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Our home is located on a VERY quiet street (said to be one of the quietest neighborhoods on the Mountain) with quiet neighbors (rarely there), and we love its location high on the Mountain. The quaint Village offers many dining options for you to enjoy, as well as shopping and has a 'long-ago' feel. Safe, friendly and peaceful! The golf course is beautiful year-round, and the community pool (seasonal) - refreshing! And, as avid hikers, we enjoy the many local trails. Back at our mountain home, we enjoy hand-feeding the jays (peanuts provided!); the night sky is always welcoming, giving us time to relax, breathe and reflect. And our very favorite ... watching the sunsets. They truly are amazing!! You won't believe a place like this exists so close! This truly is the perfect couple's getaway or a quiet, peaceful, secluded retreat!
