This "Rock House" is a 2600 sq. ft unit. It sleeps up to 13. This unit has been totally remodeled and is just beautiful!
It has 3 bedrooms 2.5 Baths, extra large dining room will seat all 13 guests together.
Extra large living room with stone fireplace, cathedral ceiling, extra large bonus room on the back of house with a ping pong table.
Extra large Master Bedroom has both a king and a queen size bed in it. Second bedroom has two full size beds. Smaller more private third bedroom has full size bed. Living Room has twin Murphy bed and queen sleeper sofa.
Master Bathroom has two-person jetted tub/self-enclosed steam room with a color tv inside of it. (for use by persons over the age of 16)
Washer and Dryer located at the end of the kitchen for convenience.
Four other units are located just 5 minutes away. They can accomodate up to 28 over there.

Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2009
Connie moved from Kent, Ohio to Hot Springs, Arkansas in May 2004 to be with her eHarmony "match" and soon to be husband, Marc Rubben. She has 3 children (ages 18, 22,24) who live in Ohio. She purchased her first vacation rental in August 2004, mainly to house the extra furniture from the two households now combined. It would also be a great place for family and friends to stay when visiting. Connie takes care of all aspects of the vacation rental business. She is a perfectionist, "clean freak" and a people pleaser! She takes great pride in providing this beautiful, clean and affordable vacation spot to others. Marc is a professional Comedian/Ventriloquist. You may have seen him over the past 20+ years at various comedy clubs across the country or in exclusive resorts around the globe. More recently he can be found aboard the "Conquest", a Carnival cruise ship. Marc was showcased on "Accidentially Famous" a reality show aired on Comcast OnDemand in May, 2007. If you haven't seen Marc perform "live", be sure to check out his DVD, which is in the video library on-site. Marc has 2 kids (ages 18,20) Connie and Marc live in an underground house on the Ouachita River with their 8 dogs and 1 cat. They also foster dogs for the Warm Hearts Humane Society. (Now you know why they own property that is "Dog Friendly"
Why the Owner Chose Mount Ida
Nestled in the Ouachita National Forest, this beautiful house is 4 miles from the 2nd cleanest lake in the country! The air quality out here in the country is pristine! It's just 35 minutes outside of Hot Springs, and 20 minutes from our own home. A PERFECT location in every regard.
The Unique Benefits of this House
This house was formerly a Rock Shop and was purchased with all the rock shop merchandise. Therefore many of the pieces have been incorporated into the design of the house and in the landscaping. You'll find a unique one-of-a-kind floor in the 1/2 bathroom where rock slabs have been incorporated. The kitchen backspash has be made using rock slabs from the shop as well. All rooms have rocks and gems on display and many are still available for purchase.

The "Rock House" is a beautiful and recently refinished home right off the highway on the way to Mount Ida. It is about 4 or 5 miles from the lake and offers lots of room and plenty of places to park your cars and water toys. The photographs from the listing do not do the house justice. Everything in the house was meticulously cleaned when we arrived. The house is also completely furnished with everything you could need for cooking, sleeping, and bathing. My friends and I had an amazing time during our weekend at the lake, and the "Rock House" had a lot to do with it.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
