  • Donna and Loyd were great hosts! Being rignt on the river was a great feature. We built a fire right by the river every night (SMORES, Hotdogs, or just sitting and staring at the stars.) Our kids really enjoyed the well kept hot tub and I enjoyed the hammack. With the sound of the rushing river right outside our bedroom window,Renay and I slept like a babies each night. The high speed internet was spotty but I am assured that will be taken care of shortly. Since Donna and Loyd use the basement as the laundry room for the lodge next door, we NEVER ran out of towels or supplies. We just helped oursleves. We were able to park our convertible Jeep in the garage and never had to worry about putting the top up. The place is right at the entrance to both the park, hiking trails, the town and riding stables so everything was super convenient. We would definately return! Regards, Mark Shackelford

  • My friends and I stayed at this large cabin for 3 nights and 4 days and had the most wonderful time. The cabin was in perfect condition and Donna was very hospitable. I would recommend this cabin to anyone who wants to enjoy the outdoor life and scenery in Colorado.The river that runs behind the cabin is beautiful! I definitely plan on going back.

  • This property is absolutely gorgeous. There is no better location. The house is very comfortable and well decorated. The wildlife that comes on the property make it even more exciting. The property managers, Lloyd and Donna are extremely nice and at your beckon call for any advice or help. We are already booked to return to this beautiful home and location.

  • We just spent a week with our three girls and two spouses and three teenage grandsons in celebration of our 50th annivesary. The house is spacious and very comfortable for that large of group. The Big Thompson in the background is wonderful and relaxing. I would recommend this to any group - ANYTIME!!

  • This house was beautiful. As the website says it sits right on the Big Thompson River. We stayed for a week with 7 kids and they were never bored. They even caught a few trout out of the river. Several times thorougout the week there were deer and elk playing in the yard. It is near to all of the area attractions including downtown Estes and Rocky Mountain National Park. I would recommend this house to anyone wanting to bring a large group to Colorado. We would book it again in a heartbeat. Thanks Donna and Lloyd for a great vacation!
