Enjoy some time away. Sunset beach is a small oceanside village a stone's throw away from one of the Carolina's loveliest and most preserved beaches. Maybe it will rain one night when you visit the cottage and you can listen to the sounds of the rain on the metal roof.
Located in Shoreline Woods one mile from the beach,we offer a comfortable three-bedroom, two-bath home, surrounded by trees in a quiet waterway community.The cottage is on the mainland,only one-half mile from the last floating swing bridge on the East coast, this is the only connection to the barrier island beach and bird island preserve.To gain access to the beach there is a free oceanfront public parking area next to the pier and a large pay to park lot at the pier,we provide a free parking pass to park at the pier. More than two-dozen golf courses are within a 30-minute drive of the cottage.
Our Coastal Cottage is a family owned second home that we hope our guest will enjoy.We are not a rental agent or a property management company.We want you to have a great time on your visit to the beach.We will be glad to help with your questions,even if you do not stay with us.The photos and descriptions here are of our cottage and not a model home.This is your vacation,please take the time to ask questions and make sure you spend your money wisely.Our goal is to help you have an enjoyable vacation and become a repeat guest.
The sleeping accommodations are: one queen bed, one double bed, two twin beds ,and two queen sleeper sofas. The great room has a cathedral ceiling and is adjoined to the dining room with a full-sized table with six chairs. Relax on the back deck with table and four chairs, or listen to the ocean in the distance from the front screened-in porch with ceiling fan,table and chairs.
Small, house-trained pets are welcome. We wish to be advised if plan to bring your small pet. Please NO SMOKING in the cottage. GUESTS MUST BE MARRIED,ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT OR OVER 25 YEARS OLD.There is no maid or linen service; we ask you to provide your own towels and bed linens.If you would like to rent linens,bikes or just about anything check with julies rentals Phone. We work very hard to keep the house in good order and ask that you leave the cottage clean inside and out for the next guest.Your exit cleaning is very important,it helps us keep the rates reasonable.The cottage has a energy saving heat/air system....please note the cooling system low setting is 72 degrees and the heat has a high setting of 76 degrees.There are ceiling fans to help with the temperature ranges.

We were pleasantly surprised at how spacious Coastal Cottage was! We stayed for a week with our 8 and 10 year old daughters as well as my mother, and had more than enough room. The property was extremely clean and well-stocked with everything you need for a home away from home and more! We had a wonderful week and made many lasting memories. Thank you Randy and Lynn!

I have stayed at this cottage several times and it always feels like coming home. The house has a warm feel and is fully equipped with anything you could possiblly want. The deck and patio are spacious, sun filled and private, and the screen porch is the perfect place to enjoy morning coffee. As far as the location.............I have stayed directly on the island, and quite honestly prefer this location. It is as close to being on the island as you can be, with the added bonus of the tall pines and singing birds. To top it all off, the owners are unbelievably friendly and helpful. Thank you Randy and Lynn for sharing such a lovely place!

We had a wonderful time at the Coastal Cottage last week and only wish we could have stayed longer. We just got home from your wonderful cottage at Sunset Beach. We had a great time and can never thank you enough for letting our family share your beach home. We dropped the keys into the box at the Shallotte post office on our way out this morning so you should get it Monday or Tuesday. You have left nothing out and no ammenties unmeet. This was our first trip to Sunset Beach and your home helped make it special. Again, thank you and we hope to visit again in the next couple of years.

What a lovely and comfortable home you have in Sunset Beach....Bill and I were SO pleased. Although we're pretty beat from the long journey back to Virginia yesterday, conversations are already taking place about returning next summer! We were blessed with great weather, and had an opportunity to visit with a number of family members we don't get to see often. The house was immaculate when we arrived, and we strove to leave it in the same manner. I will get the keys back in the mail to you tomorrow, and we'll be in touch!

You will be impressed! We had an extraordinary week at the beach. The cottage is a breathtaking 1.4 mile ride to the main beach parking lot. A very convenient parking pass is provided and we used it each day of our vacation. There are a number of good eateries nearby. For instance, there is a great Mexican restaurant next to Food Lion about 1.5 miles from the cottage. And, the seafood restaurant just down the road about .5 miles is excellent. The cottage is pleasantly large enough for six, the kitchen is perfectly located and amply stocked with everyday supplies that everyone uses, and the WiFi cable modem and router is there for all of us who have a need to get online. We loved the many home design touches that make you feel like you are staying in a special place. The beach amenities (large umbrella, ‘boogie’ boards, beach chairs) also added to the enjoyment of our stay. Would we rent again? Of course, that is the greatest compliment we could give.The Powells

What a relaxing way to spend a week. Easy to get to the beach. Attractions and shopping within an easy drive. The house is sooooooooo cozy and friendly! This was our third visit.
