It was renovated in 2005 and is a comfortably and tastefully-decorated home that exudes Old Florida cottage charm with three bedrooms and two baths. You will enjoy the large kitchen with its custom faux-finished cabinets, living area, porch and the privacy of a quiet dead-end street which overlooks the passing boats, birds and dolphins. Lovely sunrises and backlit sunsets that will inspire artists or want-to-be artists alike. Sleeps eight and has room to park your boat or use our Tandem Kayak! Built low to the ground and all on one level with a wheelchair-friendly bath and bedroom - confortable for all ages.
Historic Cedar Key is a nature lover's and artist's dream. Cedar Key is one of the few remaining fishing villages (mullet, redfish, grouper) left in Florida and oysters, crabs, and farm-raised clams still being harvested the old-fashioned way. Nearby are outer islands with historic ruins to explore, as well as Manatee Springs, Homasassa Springs, and the Lower Suwanee Wildlife Refuge. We have numerous wonderful restaurants, fun shops, and art galleries.
We have two festivals a year: in April (the Arts Festival) and the Seafood Festival in October. In January, we host the week-long Star Gazing Party. You can also rent kayaks, bikes, boats, fishing guides, or golf carts to get around but do not forget to bring a camera, that book you have been meaning to read, and your fishing pole. You are in for a wonderful and relaxing time.

$15/night/pet fee; must be pre-approved by the owner.
Check-In 4 PM; Check-Out 10 AM. $75 cleaning fee. $500 refundable security deposit
50% due 60 days prior to rental; Balance due 30 days prior.

I have lived in Cedar Key for over 10 years and my husband for almost 30 years. We enjoy the quiet and natural environment. I take our dog, Frenchie, swimming or on doggie play dates, every chance I can. When I outfitted Anchor Point, the rule was, if I would want or need it while on vacation, then you might, too. So there it is.

This was our first stay in Cedar Key. What a lovely home with special "touches" everywhere to remind you of old Florida. Take time to look at all the vintage pictures decorating this house. The private porch offered a great view of the bayou. For the cook, you can't help but be impressed with this kitchen and all the things you need to make a great meal. This is a large home so I was able to sleep in while my husband watched tv and read without disturbing me. We ate at Steamers Bar and Grill one night and the food and drinks were yummy. Hoping to return for another weekend in the future and we will certainly try to stay at one of Ada's properties. Thanks so much for a relaxing and worry-free weekend!

Our anniversary stay at Anchor Point was perfect. If you are thinking of visiting cedar key and looking for a quiet, relaxing place to stay, this is it! If you are bringing your dog, even better. nice neighborhood, very private, quick car ride into town. reallly enjoyed sitting on the deck drinking coffee and watching sunrise. cottage is very clean and owners are very accommodating. super comfortable bed, nice linens, well equipped kitchen, every thing you need. bring binoculars, great bird watching. Thanks for the memories :)

Our party had a great time in Cedar Key over the 4th of July weekend and the accommodations at Anchor Point exceeded our expectations. Three good sized bedrooms, large comfortable beds, accommodated 5 adults. Plus we used the two rollaways for my son & his wife (okay, they drew the short straws!) The cottage had a wonderful view from the porch. Lots of bird watching and even saw a dolphin feeding one afternoon. Pictures didn't really do the cottage justice. The living room was spacious. Plenty of parking. Quiet neighborhood. Just a couple minutes drive into town. For a quiet getaway to a nice little fishing village (none of us had been to Cedar Key before), you won't be disappointed. For the beer drinkers looking for a good time, be sure to say hello to Otis, the Labradoodle "owner" of the Black Dog Bar on Dock St. along with his pleasant staffers, Connie & Jay.
