Cantamar is located just North (the quiet side) of the town square of San Miguel. We are only a 15 to 20 minute walk into town. Also, inexpensive taxis are readily available in front of Cantamar. This non-smoking, air-conditioned, modernly rustic mexicana unit is located at pool level. It offers a private terrace and easy access to the freshwater pool, man-made beach, and the beautiful Caribbean water. There is a freshwater shower and dive rinse tank located adjacent to our patio entrance - PERFECT for divers and snorkelers. The unit has two bedrooms with king beds, and a pull-out sofa can accommodate two more persons, if necessary. The master bedroom has it's own private bathroom and a spectacular ocean view! The ocean view from the condo living area and swimming pool is just beautiful! There is great snorkeling, with easy ocean access, just steps away from the condo.
Only eight units share a private swimming pool and a wonderful man-made beach, with two palapas for shade, and a lean-to pergola with shade. Maid service, with towels and linens are providedone to two times a week. Beach towels are not provided, so please bring your own. The kitchen is fully furnished with a breakfast bar, and the dining room table can accomodate six people. Free, unlimited, long distance to the US/Canada and free high speed wireless internet are also included, along with TV,VCR/DVD and CD player(with Ipod docking). Private, gated location right on the ocean. A great place to "get away from it all".
Cozumel is a diver's paradise, consistently regarded as one the best places, on this side of the continent, for scuba diving. The island is known for it's consistent 100-150 feet+ visibility and effortless drift diving. The water temperature ranges between a low of 76 in the winter months, to a high of 84 in the summer. The diving, snorkeling and beautiful, clear water make this a great vacation spot for water lovers.
Besides the great water activities, Cozumel has many GREAT restaurants for every price range and taste, and is a shopper's paradise. It's an extremely good value, compared to other high-priced Caribbean island locations.

Why the Owner Chose Cozumel Island
We bought Cantamar 102 because, first of all - we loved Cozumel! We think it's the best diving this half of the globe. We also love the people and the many fantastic restaraunts on the island. We chose this location because of the beauty and closeness of the ocean. The
snorkeling is great here, too. Plus, we are North of town, within easy walking distance and where it , typically, is quieter. It is easy to get to from the states and it is rather inexpensive, compared to going to the Caymans or Bahamas (Cozumel has much better diving that either).

Our stay was in September 09. We chose this condo because of the write-up and pictures on this site. We were not disappointed. The condo was fabulous. Just like the pictures. Perfectly situated on the Island. The unit was perfect, everything was in good working order. The pool, beach area and ocean front were spectacular. Enjoyed snorkeling and relaxing by the pool. The maid and grounds keeper were very helpful. The owners were very helpful and have been a real pleasure to deal with. Didn't mind the 15 minute walk to town at all. Highly recommend this condo, and will be going back again next September.

Our stay was fabulous! Everything we could have needed was provided (phone, internet, … even Tupperware). The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated. Step out on the patio and take in the gorgeous view! The condo was quiet and well maintained. We enjoyed every second of our stay!

Thank you for a perfect vacation in every way. In addition to the obvious charms of your condo, we were happy to discover additional amenities as well. The beds were the most comfortable we have ever had in Mexico, the central air conditioning was such an ideal temperature (and quiet too), and every appliance worked like a champ. Max, the caretaker, keeps the place pristine. We enjoy the pool every day. The snorkeling was fabulous and the views mesmerizing. We cannot say enough about how enjoyable this place was for us. You are so gracious to share your home. We cannot wait to go back.

We had a marvelous time-we are trying to figure out when we can go back. What a wonderful place you have! We drove all around the island and didn't see any place we would have rather stayed. So convenient to everything but so private. Cozumel is such a beautiful island-so clean and safe. The snorkeling in front of the condo was the best we found on the island!

I've been to Cozumel several times and this is by far the best place I've stayed. Not your run of the mill vacation rental - the owners have thought of everything down to the tasteful artwork and generous video collection. All the comforts of home. The ocean view is spectacular and great snorkeling or beach diving is right outside the door. Rooms are spacious,comfortable,quiet and beautifully decorated. Could easily rent for more.

Wow, what a find! I can still remember the incredible view from the top of the tiled stairs...the clear blue water of the pool, the aqua sea and the skyblue sky. Festively decorated and very comfortable. Plenty of room for 2 adults and 3 kids. No noise from above as the ceilings and walls are solid. Very nice to walk right out of the condo to the pool & beach. Puffer fish, eels, skates, and lots more right out back. Very meticulously maintained grounds. The sand was raked, the pool cleaned and the walks rinsed daily. Need anything? Just ask the on-site manager...or call/email the owner. Let's see. Great accomodations...pool, beach and oceanfront...within 15" walk to downtown...free local/US phone & wireless internet...can it get better than this?

We stayed here March of 2007. Had a great 10 day stay. The condo is fully equipped. In house cooks were great! The Patio off the living and master on this ground floor condo was very relaxing and covenient. A few steps to the pool and only down a few steps to the beautiful blue ocean. Hard to tell the ocean blue from the pool blue. Quiet place most of the time. Clean and well kept. Can't wait to return. Thanks again Lexi! :)

We've been to Cozumel several times but this was the best accommendation we've had. The condo was very comfortable and so well equipped. We loved sitting on the patio and watching the ships cruise by. Snorkeling was great off the beach. We stayed almost 3 weeks and we could have stayed much more--thanks for everything Lexi
