Wow! The first thing you notice when you walk in the front door is the lake. There are absolutely spectacular views from everywhere. It's like you are living right on the water. The second thing you notice is that it's a really nice home with high quality finishes and furnishings, and plenty of space for everyone in your large group of family and friends. There are large spaces both inside and out where everyone can get together, as well as plenty of space to spread out when you need some private time.
Hideaway boasts a spacious 4200 square foot floor plan with 3 levels of living space. The 7 bedrooms and 3.5 baths allow you to comfortably sleep 18. Hideaway could easily accommodate more people by many rental standards, but we limit the group sizes so we can maintain our high standards of quality.
Hideaway is the perfect home for extended families, multiple families, and groups of friends or colleagues. You will enjoy spectacular main lake views from decks, the sun deck on the double boat house, and most rooms. Hideaway is located in the South West "Quad" of the lake in Harbor Landing, an exclusive gated community of lake front homes in Macon, NC.

The setting was beautiful. An enormous deck over the double boat slips was a wonderful gathering spot for our extended group of 14. Enjoyed sunbathing, swimming and beautiful sunsets. The kitchen was well equipped to cook and serve to our large group. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Beds/ accommodations were excellent!

We stayed at this lake house for new years weekend. We had a group of couples and we were all comfortable and enjoyed the great lake views. The outside area is amazing and we enjoyed having our morning coffee on the lake deck. The living room is spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. We hope to stay here again in the future

Our church used the Hideaway for a young adult retreat and it was perfect. It fit our group well, had a great kitchen, and the waterfront facilities were excellent. We will definitely be reserving this property for future events.

We just stayed at this property and we all had a blast!! The dock access was great as we rented (2) pontoon boats. The owners were extremely easy and very responsive to work with. Their details on their website was great as well in getting ready for our trip. We would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a get away and a somewhat disconnect from reality. We decided to have a family reunion at this wonderful house, and everyone loved the experience. The house is gorgeous, the view is outstanding, and the lake provides a quiet escape from life's hectic pace. I can't recommend staying here strongly enough. Enjoy the water, because, even in May, it is refreshing. Boat rentals in the area are easy to come by, and the house even has a kayak that is available for use. So, bring your family and friends for a fantastic getaway!

What a great place! The view, the lake access, the gated community, and the user friendly layout of the home itself are a perfect mixture. We don't like feeling like we're at Grand Central Station when we go on vacation, but we need to have access to the necessary support facilities like marinas, grocery stores, etc. Your home has a great balance of access, privacy and serenity. The home has everything we needed and more than we expected. Large enough for extended families to have a great time, and arranged well enough for the book readers to actually finish what they start. Loved it!!!

Beautiful Home!! Great amount of space inside and out! Absolutely loved the water trampoline, jump deck, and kayak provided--they were hours of fun for both the kids and adults. Beautiful views of the lake and the water was perfect temperature to lounge in! So many great things to say..would definetly recommend Lake Gaston Hideaway for everyone!!! Added plus was the convenient boat landing nearby to drop the boat in:)

Hideaway at Lake Gaston was a wonderful home for a large family gathering. We had 18 people in our group two of which were infants and two were elderly. We found the amenities for all age groups to be very satisfactory. The children ages 8-12 were very excited with the game room and the awesome jump gate on the upper deck! The adults ranging in age from 26 - 78 found the swimming, boating and fishing to be excellent. The house was also in close proximity to two marinas for gas and other needs. The description of the house was quite accurate and we as a group were very pleased with the use of the garage. What a huge help for storing coolers and containers! We also rented sheets for the week and were so happy to come into the house and find that the cleaning service had already put the sheets on the beds and had them completely made. This was a big time saver!! During the months before our stay the owners of Hideaway were not only very helpful with questions but responded in a very timely manner each time something was requested. We have vacationed at Lake Gaston for the last 13 years and I have to say this was one of the nicest homes we have experienced. I would highly recommend for any large family looking for a great Lake Gaston getaway!!

Every thing about our stay was exciting.The location was exactly as beautiful as advertised,the condition of the facilities outstanding,comfortably accomodating for 15 family members ranging in age from 5 yrs.to 74 yrs. and well equiped for in -house relaxation as well as water activities.I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing few days in a quiet/natural setting but with all the comforts of home.
