OVERVIEW: Main House has 6 private bedrooms (sleeps 16) and the Guest House is 1 bedroom plus loft (sleeps 4). Total of 7-private bedrooms sleeping 20 guests comfortably, 5 full bathrooms and 6,000 heated sq ft!
AMENITIES: Six outdoor decks, three wood-burning fireplaces, outdoor firepit, 6-person hot tub, (pool table & foosball table in guest house), two flat screen TVs, 3 satellite TVs, WiFi, 400+ books, children's games, jetted tub, rain showers, indoor fountain, beautiful kitchen and large dining room table, unlimited unobstructed long-range mountain views and level ground - this is the largest and most popular vacation rental in the Boone and Blowing Rock area!!!
LOCATION: Inside a private development off the Blue Ridge Parkway just 15 minutes N of downtown Blowing Rock and 15 minutes E of downtown Boone, close to the best in shopping and dining as well as only 15 minutes from Tweetsie Railroad, 30 minutes to Grandfather Mountain, just 20 to 45 minutes to all 4 major ski resorts in the area, and close to all other High Country attractions including ASU.
As soon as you step passed the awning-covered mahogany pergola and enter the home through the main 10-foot high mahogany and glass entrance, you will be awestruck by the magnificence of this home's interior architecture. The vestibule features a grand staircase leading up to a 35-foot high coffered ceiling and skylight atrium with hand-carved pediment bas-relief along with interior bedroom balconies!
To the east of the foyer is a large sunroom/bedroom with 9-foot by 9-foot built-in bed/lounging pad surrounded by 28 windows flooding the room with light while offering great views of nearby and distant mountain ranges. Newly added a double bed (now sleeps 4). The next doorway opens into a unique full bathroom and walk-in shower encompassed with colorful custom handmade ceramic tiles.
On the west side of the foyer is a large, equipped kitchen with Sub-zero Refrigerator, Miele dishwasher, and Five Star 48" commercial stove/oven/grill, and with single slab granite countertops, solid cherry cabinets and a breakfast nook surrounded by 16 windows and a glass door leading to the covered pergola where a large gas grill awaits.
Through the corridor you enter the spacious dining room which features a beautiful Italian Morano chandelier, wood-burning fireplace, custom mahogany wood paneling, elegant dining table (seating for 10-12) and French doors leading onto the pergola.
Pass the indoor fountain which fills the home with the soothing sounds of trickling water and enter the media room with built-in equipment center, 32-inch LCD flat screen satellite TV with DVD player and doors leading onto the covered bluestone terrace where the 6-person hot tub and surrounding mountain and their unobstructed views await.
Continue down the hall and enter the magnificent three-story-high custom paneled living room complete with fireplace, three large couches, heartwood antique pine flooring and a 30-foot cathedral ceiling with custom hammered beam wood trusses. With 25 windows, six glass doors, three chandeliers and two Morano glass sconce in the living room alone, the warmth and brightness of this room welcome you both day and night. Includes a newly added 42" flat screen satellite TV.
Adjacent to the living room is the library (with 400+ hardcover books to read through and various board games and puzzles), and through the library is the custom study with desk, queen-size leather sleeper sofa, full bed (sleeps 4) and French doors leading onto the pergola.
Upstairs are four bedrooms and three bathrooms. On the east side are two bedrooms with queen beds and an adjoining Jack & Jill full bathroom. Both rooms have mountain views and interior balconies and one bedroom a private balcony. On the west side is a bedroom with a king-size bed, a private covered porch and an elegant full, private bathroom with rain shower and walk-in closet.
The entire northern side of the upstairs makes up the grand master suite which includes a large walk-in closet, a full bathroom with rain shower room enclosed with marble, travertine and antique French terra cotta tiles, a nook with a large whirlpool tub and fully arched tile ceiling, custom vanities, the master bedroom with queen bed, a sofa next to the wood-burning fireplace, private balcony, and a gallery with built-in seating overlooking the great room which leads to a private covered porch with a porch swing to rest and enjoy the mountain views.
TO SLEEP UP TO 20 COMFORTABLY, YOU WILL NEED TO RENT THE GUEST HOUSE IN ADDITION TO THE MAIN HOUSE - THIS IS THE 7TH PRIVATE BEDROOM!!! Above the two-car heated garage is a 1,400 square foot, guest house with two singles in a loft area and a private bedroom with queen, a full kitchen, full bathroom, DVD tv, internet, POOL TABLE and FOOSBALL TABLE. Escape from the parents (or in-laws). It can be reserved only by those renting the main house to guaranty privacy and is an additional $75 per night or $250 per week to cover cleaning and utilities.
Also included on the property are a level grassed-in yard, a stone walking path around the main house and several acres of mountain terrain with stone formations, an annual stream and many trails to explore.
All rentals include for free: premium satelite tv, unlimited long distance, WiFi internet, starter firewood, linens, towels and cleaning.
With 6000 sq ft of living space (both homes) and all the features inside the house plus the gorgeous natural features of the land and spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, you may decide not to leave "A BALANCE WITH NATURE."
