After a great day outdoors you want to come back to a place that welcomes you in an atmosphere of harmony and relaxation. As soon as you open the door of Skyview you'll know you made the right choice. Just like Stowe, there's something right about this place. It's comfortable with a touch of elegance. All the basics are here (quality beds and comforters) plus lots of extra touches to make it special (i.e., custom made drapery).

The fully-equipped kitchen has new appliances and dimming halogen counter lights. Use the slow cooker to prepare a no fuss tasty hot meal.
Enjoy your meals around a beautiful wood table with rattan chairs graced by original lithographs. Set the lighting you want with the dimmer switch or candlelight.
The soapstone fireplace in the living room provides warmth and a beautiful glow. The sofa, love seat, chair, and oversized ottoman make it a great place to sit, watch movies or sports with the home theater surround sound, listen to music, read, talk, play board games, or simply watch the snow fall. (We have movies, board games, cards, poker chips, and books.)
What are the sleeping arrangements?
The master bedroom has a queen bed, private full bathroom and a TV with a DVD/VHS system. The front room has a double exposure (view of the mountains) and a queen bed. The middle room has two single beds. There's a full bathroom in the hallway for these two rooms. If you need more sleeping space, the couch has a pull-out queen bed.
How far are you from the slopes?
Skyview's location is ideal. Get to the slopes in 9 minutes (literally) and yet still be off the road, nestled in a mountain, in a peaceful, private setting. Walk down the hill for some tasty chicken wings and a beer at the Sunset Grille or to get a few things from the Edelweiss Country store. The triplex cinema is 5 minutes away (literally). All the restaurants ( 50), shops( 75), and galleries are nearby.
Walk down the hill for the free trolley that runs between the village and the ski slopes.

Your attention to detail in decorating and including all the high-tech and gourmet appliances and fabulous electronics really enhanced the time we spent inside the apartment. We especially enjoyed the Lafuma lounge chairs and spent much of our time out on the balcony.
While here, we hiked, did the Alpine Slide, Cabot Cheese factory tour, Ben & Jerry's, mini-golfing, loads of swimming, swimming in the rivers while on the path, horseback riding at Topnotch, tennis, farmer's market and shopping. What a full week!

Wonderful place. One flight up puts you on top floor so no noises overhead. Pool/Sauna/Jacuzzi next building up the hill. Great gas fireplace makes the place toasty and dries out your boots and swimsuit. Everything you need. Tastefully done, in great shape and well looked after. Have been in alot of places in Stowe, but would definitely come back to this one again.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

Very nice place! The apartment was cozy, warm, great place to relax after skiing. The kitchen is fully equipped, so if you wish to cook just bring the food. We had lots of fun at the sauna, jacuzzi, and there is an awesome pool where diving is allowed!!!!! Will definitely consider staying there again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, age 55+.

Our first fall vacation in Stowe could not be better. Besides amazing nature, mountains and beautiful views this condo was a pleasure to come back to after our trips. Very clean rooms, fully equipped kitchen, plenty of games and dvd´s along with beautiful open deck as well covered porch worked perfectly for us and our little children. Even in bad weather we had a lot of activities to choose from, among the favorite ones was indoor pool. We had to extend our stay twice that much we loved this place. So much to do for adults as well little kids such as hiking Long Trail, biking, gondola rides, Trapp family lodge visit, walking to town, ben&jerry tour, shopping etc. we would like to visit and rent this place again in winter season, must be incredible. Definitely recommend to our friends.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, age 55+.

We had the pleasure of staying at this condo in March. I had family in from Alaska and they also enjoyed the accommodations. It is modern, very clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and we were provided with plenty of towels!!!! We were surprised that the kitchen had so many cooking items. It is located near the famous Trapp Family Lodge. We took a run there one morning and it was beautiful. There is beautiful hiking near by and it would be great to have a bike and ride around. You are also located near some great restaurants. Also, you can walk from the condo to a nice recreation center with a pool and pool table. If you need to do laundry that is also close to the condo. We really enjoyed our stay here.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

We stayed here during Feb vacation with a family of 5. The condo was perfect, cozy and comfortable. Kitchen is in great shape, all you need. Kids loved the pool, used it every day. Fireplace in living room makes for a great atmosphere. The location to Stowe Mountain is ideal, 10 -15 minutes drive, Skiing was fabulous. Everyone had a great time and we would love to come back. Great find!! Nous avons passe quartre belle journees dans votre region, le complexe est vraiment bien situe, le condo est tres bien equipe; nous nous sentions comme chez nous. My husband and two sons, 11 and 13, just returned from a long weekend at Skyview. The unit was well kept and very comfortable. The beds were especially comfortable which is a great plus after a day of skiing. The kitchen appliances were also terrific and obviously they were recently updated. I found the oweners especially responsive to any questions both before and during our stay. Our emails were answered quickly and completely. Our stay at Skyview was awesome. We are a couple with 3 young adult children, with another young adult joining our adventures in Stowe. The condo was centrally located to all of the outings we enjoyed! Hiking Mt. Mansfield, horseback riding, Fishing, Kayaking, swimming, restaurants, supermarket, shopping, the walking path, Ben & Jerry's, sightseeing, glass-blowing, maple sugary, wine tasting, and hiking to 2 awe-inspiring water falls. We cooked many of our meals in a fully equipped kitchen with newer appliances. We all loved the coffee maker and blender-processor. The Master bedroom was cozy. The queen bed in second room was very comfortable. Although the young men made due with the twin beds in the 3rd room, they are more suitable for younger or smaller individuals. The porch was a delight because it was large, with plenty of seating for eating, reading & relaxing. The staff at mountainside were friendly, and helpful. We had a wonderful family vacation! About the owner: I was born and raised in New York City, my wife was born and raised in Paris, Bourgogne,and Geneva. I grew up loving the beach and she grew up loving the mountains. We both love the outdoors, sports, art, culture, movies, and beauty.
Why the Owner Chose Stowe:
A friend gave us her timeshare week and we looked for a summer vacation somewhere with a beautiful natural setting as an antidote for our family to life in NYC. We wound up in Stowe without knowing anything about it and loved it so much that we wound up buying the Christmas break timeshare week to go skiing. For the next nine years we enjoyed one week of skiing (both downhill and cross-country) in the winter wonderland that is Stowe. After nine years, we returned for a summer vacation and were reminded how absolutely gorgeous it is in the summer. While I went to ask for directions to a lake, my wife went into a real estate office. We purchased the condo and without hesitation we can now tell you it is a beautiful place in all seasons. It is truly one of the special places in the world.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
A beautiful place, with invigorating mountain air, and lots to see and do. Totally relaxing. It's country living but completely friendly to city dwellers who might want a choice of restaurants, shops, galleries, or access to a library. We love to hike in the mountains, go on long bike rides, walk on the Quiet Path, go to the Farmer's Market, take a dip in the swimming holes, see movies at the movie theater, enjoy the winter on downhill or cross-country skis, take walks with the dogs (they stay in a kennel, sorry no pets allowed), explore the Northeast Kingdom, do a little shopping, have meals on the deck, read, relax, get in touch with nature and ourselves. After more than a decade of going to Stowe, we love knowing that there are always new things to discover. Other than hitting off the driving range, golf hasn't been our thing, but I can appreciate how a round of golf surrounded by mountains (Stowe has 3 courses) could be very enjoyable.
