As great as Stowe is in the winter, for nature lovers, peace and quiet lovers, golfers, bikers, hikers, and country road explorers it might be even greater in the summer!
After a great day outdoors you want to come back to a place that welcomes you in an atmosphere of harmony and relaxation. As soon as you open the door of Skyview you'll know you made the right choice. Just like Stowe, there's something right about this place. It's comfortable with a touch of elegance. All the basics are there (quality beds and comforters)and lots of extra touches have been added to make it special (such as custom made drapery).

The fully-equipped kitchen has new appliances and halogen counter lights that dim. Use the slow cooker to prepare a no hassle hot meal ready for your return from the great outdoors. We used to buy bottled water every time we went to Stowe -- no more, since we installed a Pur water filter.
Enjoy your meals around a beautiful wood table with rattan chairs graced by original lithographs. Set the lighting you want with the dimmer switch or candlelight.
The soapstone fireplace in the living room provides warmth and a beautiful glow. The sofa, love seat, chair, and oversized ottoman make it a great place to sit, watch movies or sports with the home theater surround sound, listen to music, read, talk, play board games, or simply watch the snow fall. (We've provided 130+ movies, board games, cards, poker chips, and books.)
What are the sleeping arrangements?
The master bedroom has a queen bed, private full bathroom and a TV with a DVD/VHS system. The front room has a double exposure (view of the mountains) and a queen bed. The middle room has two single beds. There's a full bathroom in the hallway for these two rooms. If you need more sleeping space, the couch has a pull-out queen bed.
How far are you from the slopes?
Skyview's location is ideal. Get to the slopes in 9 minutes (literally) and yet still be off the road, nestled in a mountain, in a peaceful, private setting. Walk down the hill for some tasty chicken wings and a beer at the Sunset Grille or to get a few things from the Edelweiss Country store. The triplex cinema is 5 minutes away (literally). All the restaurants (>50), shops(>75), and galleries are nearby.
Walk down the hill for the free trolley that runs between the village and the ski slopes.

***You thought of every detail to create the ultimate mountain retreat. I love it! The video selection was a big hit with the boys, and the pool of course. I recommend the Jacuzzi and sauna after a long hike. We hiked for five hours to Smugglers Notch: gorgeous vistas! We'll be back!

***Thank you for making our stay in Stowe so comfortable. The children were delighted with all the swimming, tennis and great hikes. . . . wonderful week. One of our highlights was swimming in the river nearby. It brought back many a fond memory of my youth in British Columbia.

***Thanks so much for providing our family with such comfortable, beautiful home for our week here in Stowe. Your attention to detail in decorating and including all the high-tech and gourmet appliances and fabulous electronics really enhanced the time we spent inside the apartment. We especially enjoyed the Lafuma lounge chairs and spent much of our time out on the balcony.
While here, we hiked, did the Alpine Slide, Cabot Cheese factory tour, Ben & Jerry's, mini-golfing, loads of swimming, swimming in th rivers while on the path, horseback riding at Topnotch, tennis, farmer's market and shopping. What a full week!

***Thank you for starting our love affair with Stowe. It is beautiful here. There are so many great hiking trails and the views at the destinations are unmatched. It is so much fun going to all the shops and trying out the different foods and wines.
The best thing is having such a warm and homey place to come back to after a long day We appreciate all your personal touches like the candles, the lounge chairs, and large video collection.
Our only regret is that there are so many more things that we wanted to do, but didn't have the time for.
