We welcome you to our mountain house! Our extended family has had wonderful times here and we hope yours will, too. We are proud of the condition of our home and hope you will enjoy the moose theme. In fact we have seen real moose on more than half of our visits! It's the perfect place to enjoy nature without roughing it.

Moose Hus is fully furnished so you'll feel right at home. The large living room and dining area with cast-iron gas stove and cathedral ceiling is the place where everyone gathers for TV(HD), DVD, games, and conversation. The modern kitchen is conveniently nearby.

In winter, enjoy snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, skating, and sledding. In summer, participate in hiking, boating, fishing, horseback riding, golfing and picnicking. You might even find it interesting to walk through the historic Grand Lake cemetery.

Enjoy your stay!

This house was just right for our family of 12 (9 adults, 3 children-12,9, and 3). Great living/dining space for everyone to relax and do their thing. The kids used the loft for reading and playing. The bedrooms are all good size. We never felt cramped. The kitchen is well equipped. The cabin is beautifully located in natural pine setting. Lots of great hiking trails. The unpaved streets in the Columbina Lake neighborhood are wonderful for early morning and late evening walks and jogs. The owners are very congenial and easy to work with.

We would highly recommend the Moose Hus. Not only was the location fabulous, but the home comes clean, comfortable and stocked with lots of kitchen items. We had many good times hiking nearby trails, taking in the beauty from the Moose Hus deck and just enjoying the overall experience. This is by far one of the best home rentals we have experienced. Thanks so much to the owners!

I just wanted to let you know how much we really enjoyed our stay at your house. It was very comfortable and clean. More than once we looked out the window into the yard to see deer lounging right at the back stoop. We also saw a fox the first morning we were there in the adjacent lot and moose just a couple houses away. Great place to stay and will definitely stay again!

Just want to thank you for renting your great mountain home to us. It was perfect for the 3 couples and close to all the wedding venues. We saw a few moose, mule deer and fox close to the house so that was a real treat for us. If in the future we would return to this area, for sure your home would be the rental unit we would choose. Enjoy the upcoming fall, I am sure it is a beautiful time in Grand Lake. Thanks again, C,C and friends.

Thank you so much for the use of your cabin! It was wonderful! We enjoyed our time together as a family, with a son coming from Milwaukee, one from Kansas, one near us in St. Louis and our daughter and her family from Castle Rock. Your house is beautiful, the Grand Lake area was very nice and we thoroughly enjoyed our week together. Thanks for allowing us to use the Moose Hus! We did see our share of moose!

We spent a recent weekend at the Moos Hoos. The home is absolutely wonderful and in such a great location; close to Rocky Mountain National Park, the town of Grand Lake and all the wonderful activities the area has to offer. The views from the home are gorgeous, and several moose (mamas and babies) were in the neighborhood. The house is decorated beautifully and is so welcoming. The kitchen is so well stocked - every kitchen gadget and all the condoments needed for our time away. It's a great place for relaxing between activities. We recommend the tubing at the Fraser Historic Tubing Hill and the snowmobiling at On The Trail Snowmobiles.

It was my 50th birthday, and I could not have asked for a better way to spend it with my 4 adult children, their spouses, and my grandchildren. The accomodations were perfect for our family. With snowshoes and alot of determination, our gang managed to carve out the most amazing sledding hill right outside the home. Other than renting snowmobils for one morning at a place just up the road from the home, we never left the home. I even found time to bake cookies with the grandkids while waiting my turn to go use the sledding hill. What a great environment to bring our family together. Thank you Julie, for accomodating us so well. We loved our family time so much we may make this a family tradition.

We had an outstanding vacation and I would highly recommend the Moose Hus to anyone that wants a place that feels just like home. The owner was excellent to deal with and made us feel like we were family. The house is very well maintained and family oriented. The kitchen is great and is very well stocked with every thing you need and more. It is in a great location and very easy to find. There were moose everywhere in fact one evening a cow and calf were eating wild flowers less than 20ft from the deck. We will stay there again!!!
