Get ready to relax and enjoy a true beach town. This property is located DOWNTOWN San Clemente, which if you have been to the area you know it is prime location to all that is going on in the area. It is just steps to restaurants, shopping, library, Farmers Market, Art fair, and three short blocks to the pier and miles of sandy beaches (ocean views from the kitchen, dining area, and balcony).
There is a wagon on location to carry stuff down to the beach, beach towels, sand toys, boogie boards, beach hats, etc. at the property to help you enjoy your stay. This fully furnished property is decorated with a professional eye. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to entertain or enjoy a quiet meal. TV's with DVD player and free WIRELESS Internet access. Bring your laptop and plan to stay longer because you can work and play while visiting the "Beach House".
Property has two bedrooms, one with a California King and the other with two queen beds. There is also a large sectional in the living room for additional sleeping. All the linens are included, beach towels too.
Summer season enjoy the beach concerts in the evening or summer fun all day long, fire pits located right on beach. 4th of July fireworks on the pier. Ocean Festival is in July and is well worth attending, every weekend there is something going on at the beach. And in Southern California it is beach weather all year so the beach and the outdoors can be enjoyed year-round (Spring and Fall has some of our prettiest weather and Winter has the best sunsets).
A car is not needed since Amtrak and Metrolink Trains stop in San Clemente (but parking is provided with a one car garage and also a spot on the driveway). To the south is San Diego where you can go to the Del Mar Horse Races, San Diego Zoo, Sea World, and Legoland. To the north visit Los Angeles, Hollywood, Disneyland, Queen Mary, and Knotts Berry Farm.

It was a very relaxing and stress free experience. The house was clean and well maintained, a short distance to the pier. We loved the farmers market....right across the street. We would definetly refer friends and family. We will for sure be back.

Thank you so much for a super vacation. The location is perfect and everything is so close that you don't even need to get in the car. We love San Clemente. Good food in the area and great location.

A couple months ago our family booked a stay “sight unseen” for the beginning of August so we were all a bit nervous after reading the “Awful…” review below. When we arrived the place was spotless and fully stocked with everything we needed (loved the beach wagon with chairs, hats, umbrellas, toys, etc.), but we were still “waiting for the other shoe to drop”. We did meet the family downstairs (dad with two daughters) and thought they were all wonderful (and all we heard out of them the whole time was laughter on a couple of occasions). The location was even better than expected with the beach two blocks one direction, and all the shops and restaurants of the cute little town a block up the other direction (some days we did not use the car at all). Walking back from a late dinner one night we all commented on how quiet it was once past the restaurants, and on an early walk one morning the only sounds we heard were the people setting up for the Farmers Market (which has some great stuff by the way). The place itself was nicely decorated and we were pleasantly surprised how well the kitchen was equipped for all our cooking and serving needs (including the barbecue out on the deck). Having an extra TV in the king bedroom helped since we could stick the kids in there while we had some “adult” time in the living room (but we did have to move the DVD player in there, maybe one should be added). As I understand it we stayed in the same unit as the folks who were not happy with their experience, but we enjoyed every moment of our stay and are already planning a return trip next summer (and our security deposit arrived in the mail today).
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, pet owners, girls getaway, families with young children.

Lots of issues- first off there were ants all over the kitchen the whole week. even after we used ant spray didnt matter. the electricity in the master bedroom was not working all week as well. makes it impossible to watch tv or not burn up. worst of all, was the neighbors directly below have young family who screams at the top of their lungs 24-7. there is NO break on that one. also, when the gal who is in charge of renting the place asks you for a few checks in case of damages, factor that cost in because you will be charged $400 more than the fee plus cleaning fee. and they will unilaterally deposit the checks without first going over the issues....in sum, its not a good experience....
Owner response:When the renter called with issues we handled them. The ants were minimal and had a company come spray that week. The electricity was not an issue, they just needed to turn on the bed light there was not a overhead light. The people below, a family with two very nice teenage girls. The property is located downtown so there will always be some type of noise issue. We deposited the checks and gave a list of items broken or missing. T It was over $400 in damage. They left the place in such a mess it took over 4 hours to clean and repair everything. In the 6 years we have been renting this is the first time we've had to deposit t security checks.

This rental was everything we hoped it would be. Furniture is in nice condition and very comfortable. Amenities are very good and all in good condition. The neighborhood is AMAZING and quiet. The beach is is just a short walk down hill. Every day I enjoyed a good long morning walk in paradise! I can not say enough good things. Heck we enjoyed the stay so much, we are looking to rent this home again this year!
