The gardens and lush landscaping are a true tropical paradise including two pools with spas (one sand bottom!), gas grills, tennis courts, waterfall and club houses for guests use.
Located across from Kamaole Beach III, the fabulous beaches, resorts, and shops of Wailea and Makena are just minutes away. Maui Kamaole is located across from undeveloped beachfront area, at the edge of Kihei, adjacent to Wailea, away from more congested resort areas, but close to all. Your own slice of paradise!
This condominium features granite countertops in the master bath and tasteful furnishings throughout. Enjoy sunsets and ocean views while dining on the lanai. Located in the 'Hibiscus' cluster and an end unit with an additional, large kitchen window, this unit feels like your own, private, secluded, garden home on Maui!

The Maui Kamaole Resort is a great place to stay. However the same can not be said for #80072. The unit appears old and worn out and in great need of many updates. Plumbing pipes that scream when you run the water in the Master Bedroom, a low uncomfortable bed, and back patio that can't be used because of the mess are just a few of the items that were of concern. The unit has a "feel" of not being clean and our first order business upon arrival was to provide a full cleaning including all showers and tubs. On the first morning we found that there was no hand/body soap in any of the bathrooms and no packs of sugar for the coffee we had bought. This unit offers the minimum items that a guest needs to start their stay and nothing more. That together with no clock in the bedroom ( I went and bought one) and a lack of feeling clean anywhere in the unit was very upsetting. We loved the location of the unit and the particle ocean view however every day we felt as though something was going to go wrong. Given the number of beautiful units at Maui Kamaole that have received proper upgrades and who treat each guest with the thought of a future return I am unable to recommend this unit to those looking for a place at the Maui Kamaole.Did you find this review helpful? We were welcomed to this condo by a very bad smell and a couple of cockroaches. We were visited by more cockroaches throughout our stay. I was informed by the owner that we were in the tropics and that cockroaches are a normal occurence. Nevertheless it still creeped me out. This unit is tastefully decorated but could use a very thorough cleaning. The bathrooms have been redone and are nice. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen is in desperate, desperate need of an update as do the appliances. The carpets are stained in several places and should likely be replaced. The patio off the bedroom, of which we were looking forward to having our morning coffee on, was filled with debris from the trees. It was a wet area and a haven for the cockroaches. If you are looking for a front row view you will be sadly disappointed. This condo faces directly to the back of the neighbouring condos. The Maui Kamaole grounds were nice as were the two pools. Kihei is the best place to stay when visiting Maui from our perspective. I'm sad to say that we would not recommend this particular condo unit.Owner response: We welcomed the nice couple from Canada who expressed their absolute pleasure and delight in our condominium, both to our manager and to us. The condo complex, however, had performed its periodic pest control a week earlier and somewhere a bug stumbled out and apparently scared our guest. We are sorry about that, but it is indeed a fact of life in the tropics, and especially after periodic pest control. For some, such an encounter will always turn the best of times into the worst of times. Nonetheless our guests stayed a long time, nearly three weeks, without any further issues or complaints. And while we verified with management that our condo is in excellent shape, the true test came in the three days immediately after our guests departed, when my dear mother, who carries white gloves with her at all times, stayed in the same condominium. In her case, she was as happy as a bug. As far as a view goes, our condo is advertised as a garden view location. It is a front row condominium and there is a partial ocean view from our lanai through lovely plumaria trees in the common area. We will be heading to island in a couple of weeks and look forward to our stay.

The unit was OK with a few exceptions: - the cleanliness was a little lacking. We had to do a kitchen and floor cleaning to feel comfortable - the light switch in the kitchen was broken - the lanai light was not working properly - the master bedroom lanai door does not open properly - one of the main lanai doors was not opening properly These were fairly minor problems but a little annoying. The unit location was good.Owner response: We always value our guests' comments - even "minor problems" (they annoy us as well when we are there!). We have asked our electrician to handle the electrical issues. And sliding doors are always a challenge - especially when a unit is in the front row of dwellings, closest to the ocean's salt air. We're going to be sure that silicon spray is available to guests and cleaning crew alike to address this. Finally, we've asked the cleaning crew to make sure everything is as spotless as even our grandmother's would demand. Thank you!

This place is clean and quiet. Great pools but even better the beach across the street. The condo is very comfortable with everything you could need at your fingertips, if not just ask the friendly staff. Thanks again for a great holiday getaway.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

We had an absolutely glorious time at your Maui Kamaole condo! You have created an incredibly comfortable and elegant environment to "come home to" on Maui (& for our beach visits, we really appreciated the "cooler on wheels".) Because we fancy ourselves "gourmets," we loved the kitchen - the cookware and cooking utensils (down to the ice-cream scooper, garlic press and coffee grinder!). We look forward to our next holiday. Mahalo!Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Why the Owner Chose Maui Kamaole:
We purchased our Maui Kamaole condominium in 2005. We had stayed in just about every other condominium resort along the south and north Maui coasts over the years, and fond 'Maui Kam' to be our favourite. We wanted a 'front row' location as well as 'privacy' - Unit H-112 has both of these, being an 'end' unit. We were especially attracted to our condo's having a kitchen window - which brings in the wonderful morning sun (most of the other units are 'interior' units and do not enjoy any 'side' windows).
