Our west-side condominium has breathtaking views of the beach, the Gulf shoreline and the bay. Spectacular sunsets. Few properties offer views like this.
This large master includes two queen-sized beds, full bath, walk in closet, armoire with tv and DVD player, and drawers, chest of drawers, and chair and ottoman. There is a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, combination pop-up/oven and dishes for 4 for meals.
The unit has a private 14 ft. balcony with a gorgeous view of the beach and shoreline. It has comfortable, quality patio furniture that includes a table and chairs, a chair and lounge chair for relaxing and enjoying the view. The balcony enclosure is glass so the view is unobstructed. There are 10 ft. ceilings and floor to ceiling windows with a sliding glass door. You can actually lie in bed and look out at the gulf.

Year Purchased: 2001
Randy and I are northern transplants to Atlanta, Georgia. Randy is from Reading, Pennsylvania and I am from Detroit, Michigan. Randy's job with Turner Outdoor Advertising brought us to Atlanta in 1983. We have three daughters and six grandchildren. We enjoy travel and have vacationed all over the world.
Why the Owner Chose Surfside
We love the beach and had always dreamed of a vacation home at the beach. When we visited Destin, we fell in love with it. We enjoy travel and have traveled much of the world, but nothing rivals the beautiful beaches of Destin and the Gulf coast. We also wanted to share our beach home with friends and family, especially with our six grand grandchildren. We bought our first vacation home about 8 years ago. Then, because we have a large family, decided to buy this second condo at Surfside Resort in Destin.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
Surfside is a great resort. The thing we enjoy most is the fabulous view. We can enjoy looking at the Gulf even while lying in bed. The amenities are perfect for us. We have a heated pool and 2 hot tubs, lighted tennis courts, a well equipped fitness center, a private beach and an on-site restaurant with great food.

We decided very last minute to take a 3 day weekend at the beach, and wanted to stay at Surfside, our favorite resort in Destin. I emailed the owner, Dawn, with only a few days notice, and she was extremely accommodating and worked with us in every way to secure our rental. The room has a fantastic view and is perfectly sized for a couple to get away, even for 3-4 people, as there are two queen beds in the room. You can literally lay in bed and see the ocean, which is fantastic. There is a rather large balcony for a studio - it actually wraps around the corner of the building so you get a bit of extra space. I was extremely pleased with the entire experience and would recommend this room or any others of this owner to anyone! You can tell that they want their renters to come and leave happy and take time and care to do so.

Our stay at Surfside was wonderful. The property is beautiful and it is a great place to go and relax. Dawn was always very helpful in anything we needed. She is very accomdating and gave us a great rate. It is in a great location.. close to great eating and shopping! I would highly recommend this condo to anyone who is looking for a nice 1 bedroom condo!

My sister-in-law and I decided at the very last minute to leave our kids with thier daddies and head off to Destin for a long weekend. We searched and searched for a one bedroom condo and this property came up. After a simple phone call to Dawn, it was set up and she gave us a great rate too!! The view is wonderful, the ammenities of the condo were just what we needed for the 3 days we were there, the property was very clean and well maintained, and the private beach area was beautiful! Dawn was very helpful and always available by phone or email if I had a question. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this property for a getaway with your honey, or your best friend!

My girlfriend and I stayed in 1408 for 4 nights and had an incredible time. The view is great from the balcony and it was an excellent value for the money. We will certainly book this room next year!

My wife and I visited Destin for our first anniversary and absolutely loved it! The sand was sugary white, the water was crystal blue and the beach was very clean. The condo was clean, beautiful and the hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The condo owner was very nice, and easy to do business with. We will definitely frequent this condo, one of the best deals in Destin!
