Nice Villa & Great Community

The villa had lots of room for our party of five adults as we never felt crowded. The 3 bathrooms came in handy. The cable TV kept us entertained on nights we did not venture out to the community. The community and the pool are really nice. On one day we had the pool to ourselves. The pool bathrooms were extraordinarily clean (very surprised). Palmas Del Mar community has plenty of walking trails and a nice tennis center. We celebrated my daughter’s birthday at Chez Daniel and it was pretty good. The bottles of wine at the restaurants were pretty reasonably priced. Caracoles restaurant located at the tennis center was great. There were no spices as advertised, but you can easily buy your food supplies at the local grocery stores. Also, it was nice to have internet access. It was curious that several garbage bags of garbage and food was left in the courtyerd when we arrived and sat there at least one week. It started to smell in a few days. I used the cleaning services and it was satisfactory although they came one day early without notification. Everything worked in the villa (grill, ice maker, coffee maker, stove top) and I would recommend this villa to a friend and would return. The location near the pool was very convenient.

Our group just returned from 6 nights in this villa. The good: The villa was really lovely and large - lots of space for our group of 7 (5 adults, 2 kids). The kitchen was beautiful and well equipped. We really appreciated being able to cook our own meals. The villa is located just a 1 minute walk from the most beautiful pool I've ever been at (really 3 pools, connected by cascading waterfalls). The bottom pool is only 3 feet deep, perfect for my small kids - they could actually stand up in it. Approximately a 10 minute walk to the beach (water is very rough, but great for playing in the waves). The bad: Many things were not working - first day we found no hot water, broken microwave, broken ceiling fan in BR2. Property management was helpful - ended up replacing the microwave, sent people to look at fan and hot water, but it took 3 days to get them fixed. Three days with no hot water was not really acceptable. The ceiling fan needed to be replaced, which was also done after 3 days. Upon request we were brought a standing fan for that bedroom, as we didn't like to sleep with the AC on. The floors and stairs are all tiled with nothing to dampen the noise - loud kid noises are amplified all over the house. The tile on the back patio got EXTREMELY slippery after it rained causing one minor injury. I was also nervous about my kids running up and down the interior stairs, just because a fall would have been very dangerous. The oven needed a good cleaning. It smoked terribly. The bottom had been lined with foil so it looked nice, but as soon as it heated up the burnt on stuff under the foil started smoking. There are no lamps, and not a single place bright enough to read a book at night. Mgmt. brought us a floor lamp which we carried room to room as needed. Would have been nice to have more supplies left for us: No spices were in the kitchen (there may be some now, as we had to buy large containers of salt and pepper). Only a 1-day supply of toilet paper was there, laundry detergent for one load, one trash bag. A bottle of cooking oil and a bottle of laundry detergent would go a long way. Conclusion: Whoever rents this villa next should have pretty much everything in good shape, since it was all fixed during our stay. I would certainly consider renting it again, but I would specifically ask for someone to check that everything was in working order before we checked in.

I would recomend this villa to anyone! If you are looking for a large or a small place to stay with 24 hours security, pool, beach,Luxurious Master Bath, casino, Malls then you should contact the owner, Maria and inquire about this great place. I just returned today (August 1, 2009)and I tell you I brought my whole family and two friends for a total of 7 and we had room to spare, this villa has pretty much everything you can think of. It is very clean has washer and Dryer, Patio for BBQ,The Kitchen is awesome,The Den is like a mini-master suite because it has a sofa bed, Bathroom and is near the kitchen on the first floor. In the Evening you can go up to the third level and sit outside with a cold drink and relax. You would definitely want to get a Golf Cart, there are so many of them driving around that you would want one to explore and apreciate Palmas del Mar to the fullest. What I am trying to say is that I look forward to renting this villa in near future because it was an awesome experience for me, my family and friends. As I arrived everything was very clean. Very nice decor. Very spacios areas (living and sleeping). The bathrooms were very good. The complex facilities also were excellent.
