That is the place to experience " Pura Vida ", vividly. What a a wonderful getaway ! What a relaxing time we all had there, indeed. And what wonderful evening dinner arrangements Calin was able to arrange with his peruvian jefe de la cocina Frank, at the ' El Sueno '. Excellente, perfecto ! And above all, no worries about making arrangements for touring around, going sight seeing. It all was so well, perfectly and efficiently planned, instantaneously, right on the spot. That is the place to be and to come back to ! Thanks Calin. Tambien, tengo que expresarle mis apreciaciones por todas las experiencias tantas hermosas. Vívidamente e inolvidable me recuerdo de un desayuno mientras que los Howler Monkeys fueron en los árboles muy cercanos, masticando sus hojas. Que experiencia maravillosa, increible ! Asi es, verdaderamente, Pura Vida debo decir, vívidamente. Mil Gracias.

On a passé deux semaines exceptionnelles au bord de l’océan ou sur la piscine. Notre hôte Calin a été très attentif à toutes nos questions et a choisi très bien les activités pour toute la période (visite au volcan en Nicaragua, Rincon de la Vieja a Guanacaste, sortie avec le voilier, etc). 100% on va revenir pour retrouver la pura vida. Wow! What a perfect place for us! We rented the Villa for 2 weeks with our family of 17, children and grandchildren. It was like home away from home. Calin was so very helpful, by setting up transportation for us and helping us with excursions and whatever we needed. The Villa was very clean and pleasant.He is a very pleasant and gracious host. The beach was a short walk away and was wonderful for snorkeling, fishing, lying on the beach, or swimming. Coco Beach is a short drive away and has all the shops you would want, grocery store, and wonderful restaurants. We especially enjoyed the seafood restaurants. We did do a bit of our own cooking as that worked very well for the younger children. We did quite a few excursions and enjoyed our stay very much. We love Costa Rica and will definitely be back.

During the two weeks of their stay in Costa Rica, our villa El Sueno de Ocotal was full of happiness and joy. The seniors, the younger and the children were laughing from dawn to dusk. Beautiful Villa and friendly host

We stayed at 2nd floor apartment at El Sueño de Ocotal for 5 nights. We had a stunning view from the private balcony where we had breakfasts. We loved it all! The apartment had fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher. The king bed in spacious bedroom with full glass wall that lead to wrap-around balcony overlooking the mountains and ocean. Stylish contemporary bathroom with shower and plenty of hot water. Large leaving room with leather couches etc, etc... The walk to the beach is quick and the beach is not crowded. The owner of the Villa told us about good restaurants around, as well as places where we can get groceries to cook. He also helped us to get a nice yacht sunset trip and was very helpful with any questions we had. We'll stay there again next time in Costa Rica.

Amazing Trip to Costa Rica

We stayed at this property for 2 weeks in May 2011 and had an amazing time. First off the Villa is very clean, great view of the ocean, friendly host and has all the amenities we wanted. It is a short walk to an amazing beach (great snorkelling) and 2 restaurants that we loved. It also allowed used all the freedom to explore costa rica. Coco beach is a short distance away and is a very nice beach town where you can find anything you would like. Make sure you stop at the restaurant on top of the cliffs near the villa to see the sunset. Absolutely gorgeous, we will be coming back!!!

more than an Inn - it's an oasis

El Sueno de Ocotal is one of my favourite places to stay in Guanacaste. A true home away, Calin, your host is thrilled to have company and welcome you to his home. He is happy to help you with your vacation planning and is a wealth of information on the sights to see and services such as car rentals. And if your flight arrival coincides with one of Calin’s trips to town you could be lucky enough to get a lift from the airport. The inn is large with a beautiful, pristine pool out front and accommodation to suit any traveler’s needs; single rooms to an apartment and a 3 bedroom home. All rooms have large bathrooms with walk-in showers, TV and cable and air conditioning. There is an open air kitchen and even a BBQ along side the outdoor eating gazebo. The whole property is beautifully landscaped with flowering trees that attract birds. We have watched monkeys play in the trees and whales breach from our room. The views are amazing. The beach is a short walk away and the town of Coco is 5 minutes down the road by car. This place is a gem, I return every year as it has become my home away from home.

We stayied at this villa last February and we have one of the best vacation. The villa is well located, close to Ocotal beach, surounded by a beautifull garden, with an amazing view of the ocean and a nice swimingpool. The rooms are very clean, A/C, TV, own bathroom and access to a common kitchenet and laundry. The owner is very helpful to answer to your questions and to help you plan nice trips to the surronding attractions (Arenal Vulcano, Rincon de la Vieja Conservation Parc, Palo Verde) and neighboring beaches (Flamingo, Hermosa, Tamarindo...).

I rented the property for a week. It was my first time renting a house for the whole family and I have to say, it was overall a very positive experience. We enjoyed our vacation very much, the beach is the best so far I have found in Guanacaste. Calin the owner was very helpful and made sure everything was fine for us during our stay.
