No detail was forgotten! The Winter park ski shuttle is literally a few steps out our front door. Winter Park is rated in the top 10 BEST Resorts. This gorgeous brand new ski townhome has been decorated in western chic style from the cowhide bar stools and custom log furniture to the antique ski and snowshoe decor throughout! Everything is kid friendly. Nestled amongst the evergreens and wildlife in the Colorado Rockies this wonderful town home is only minutes away from Winter park Resort! Three master bedroom suites and main level half bath. Every suite has a private bath! Sleeps eight including the comfy high quality sleeper sofa! A Similar townhome is available for rent only a few doors away accommodating 18 in total-call for details and availability! One car heated attached garage is a great place to warm the ski boots, dry the jackets, store the ski's and of course park the car out of the snow!
Located in the town of Fraser and serviced by the Free Winter Park shuttle this townhome is a great place to relax! The Shuttle stop is located only 10 yards away! This fabulous mountain retreat is only two miles to Winter Park Ski Resort, ten miles to Granby and 18 miles to Grand Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park. Denver International airport is only one and a half hour drive along 170 highway! You'll have a hard time choosing between the bedrooms! All have a different feel but keeping in the mountain theme. Custom log furniture was designed for two of the rooms with the master having a stunning wood and leather rustic bed! All rooms have high-end queen pillow top mattresses, thick down comforters, private TV/DVD(cable), thick soft towels and private thick robes to wear to the hot tub or lazing around the house! Even the babies were not forgotten (we have one!) a pack-n-play and highchair are available!

Why the Owner Chose Winter Star
We chose Winter Park because it is a great "local" ski resort with world class skiing and mountain biking. Also the short 1 hr commute on I70 makes getting away very easy. Out of all the town homes we looked at, this was the only one that you could sit 12+ people around the dining table and also seat 8+ people on couches and chairs. A lot of ski homes can sleep a ton of people but not accomadate everyone at dinner or TV! We also love the wild foxes and moose that roam the Fraser valley. Views of the ski hill aren't to shabby either!
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
Nothing was spared in our 2nd home everything is high quality. All the Conveniences of home are provided from the high speed internet, basic stocked kitchen, every appliance and utensil you could desire! We also have a high chair, porta crib and numerous children/teen mattresses under all the beds. The 100% thick cotton robes make it easy to get back and forth from the hot tub. Games, dvds and children toys are provided. I know i miss my fully stocked town home when we travel to other peoples rentals!

The Winter Star Snow Home is amazing! The skillful blending of upscale ski and western decor is perfect for the area, and Mandy and Bob are excellent hosts, providing their guests with sumptuous linens, fine furnishings, top-of-the-line applianaces, and even DVDs to watch on rainy nights! These accomodations rate five stars!

Very nicely decorated & clean but icemaker dispenser did not work at all and ice machine put out little ice. No hot water first night but plumber came & fixed it on that same night. We were told it had AC but when we called owner we were told we didn't need it due to cool evenings. It had been in 90's so it was quite warm in the afternoons & early evenings. We were told we would have passes to health club nearby for swimming, exercise, racquetball & tennis courts but that had been cancelled over 2 months ago. We had 4 adults & 3 teens so counted on that for part of entertainment. This was a nice condo but very limited on parking unless other owners were away. We also did not realize there was a substantial flight of stairs to negotiate every time we came in or out and/or carriend in groceries. It was fine for the younger people. Stackable laundry was in mstr bdrm which was 2 flights up. It had a great view of the mountains & its own TV/entertainment system and mstr bath. The deck on the 2nd flr was nice while the patio on 1st flr was surrounded by overgrown grass & wildflowers. Neither sliding door offered screens. We enjoyed the nice kitchen w/appliances & snack bar open to large dining room w/table & living room. Convenient location to Safeway for groceries & many restaurants & Winterpark Resort activities. Walk to hot tub was not bad and it was very comfortable & clean. Grounds were untrimmed and unlit so it was not pleasant to go out for a walk after dark. or to walk trash down to dumpster. Our family had a good time and enjoyed what was provided. Families 55+ would be okay if they had no disabilities but they should be able to see a picture of entry or a description of layout. It does offer more privacy w/3 mstr suites which is great for extended families or several adults. This owner did leave a book of information & brochures on things we may be interested in and our kids did go to several of the area trails in the area. All in all, a great place to make memories.
Owner response:We are sorry these guests found complaint with everything on their vacation. It was a surprise that our 6 year old hot water heater was not working as it worked the weekend prior and unfortunately had a valve that needed to be lubed. We were traveling on vacation but still managed to get the hot water fixed the same day. Robert continued to complain about the heat at 9200 ft elevation colder than denver), insisting that we should have air conditioning in our townhome. Air conditioning is extremely rare in the Colorado Mountains, even million dollar homes in Winter Park do not have air conditioning and the heating and cooling repair man confirmed this with Robert! Robert was never told we had air-conditioning. Robert was also never told we had a health club pass. There is a ton of additional guest parking situated 40 yards away from the unit, just a short walk. Our unit has an attached garage and one space in front of the garage. Robert chose our home from the photos posted which clearly shows that there are 3 levels and his wife is a realtor so I would have thought they would understand the layout. I also described the layout on the phone so I am surprised they were upset about this. It actually has a fabulous layout with all bedrooms having private baths and the lower level bedroom is perfect for the 55+ as it is designed with a shower. The lower bedroom’s “over grown grass and wildflowers” is actually a reserve and natural area which is extremely private and most guests would be thrilled to have the wild flowers. That’s what most guests want to see is the natural wildflowers! This unit won best architectural, best builder and best designer when it was built in the parade of homes. The builder didn’t feel it necessary to have screens on the doors and no other guests have complained about not having them. The unit is located in the mountains and not in a suburban community hence why they grounds are left natural. Maybe the golf course community would have been a better option. We have only ever had great reviews and extremely happy guests who appreciate all the extras we do for our guests, for example we provide coffee, all condiments and oils, basics in the kitchen down to the pancake mix, all paper towel and TP, robes to walk to the hot tub, wireless internet, toys for the kids and porta cribs, highchairs, shampoo and conditioner etc. We want you to feel at home and be one of our happy guests!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, girls getaway.

We enjoyed staying in your wonderful home for the past 2 weeks! The townhome was more than we could have imagined! All the extras made us feel at home while staying and relaxing! The Biskit ( our newfie) really enjoyed laying on the deck while it was snowing! We know he will miss it when we return to Georgia, our friends and family enjoyed the stay as well! None of them wanted to leave after their first week. Thanks again for everything including introducing us to Peter Gach. Hopefully we will be a neighbor soon!

Wanted to pass on how much we enjoyed staying at your Winter Park vacation rental! The minute we walked in we could feel what a special place it was. From the beautiful furnishings to the kitchen amenities it was perfect! And the heated garage was awesome! The location was perfect for us - close to town but yet tucked away up in the peace & quiet of the mountains. What can we say - Winter Star is the perfect Colorado "home-away-from-home" for us any season of the year!!

Thank you for opening up your home to us and making us feel welcome with all your special luxuries! We so enjoyed every minute we were here and you were right " it's a Home Away from Home!" You thought of everything. We were so impressed with it all. We enjoyed cooking dinner in the kitchen and a couple of meals prepared on the grill. The girls loved playing with allthe toys, seeing new books and being in a beautiful home. We loved thelocation! We could tell you really took all the small details and paid greatattention to them...and the décor! Amazing!
