He returned our deposit two days after we returned home! The name of this condo says it all "Ocean House Delight"! I will definatly book our next vacation with John. John- Thank you so much for allowing us the use of your home away from home. The condo was exactly as described. It was spacious enough for our family and the layout was great. I did love the artsy touches throughout and it truely was comfortable and relaxing. The view was fantastic, the pool is great and literally steps from the ocean. The location is impossible to beat. We are already looking at dates for next year and hope we can snag this unit again!

I took my two teenage boys to Gulf Shores for a Spring Break trip. Left the husband at home to take care of our pets. :) The condo was perfect! Beautiful view from master bedroom and living room. It was close to everything -- several restaurants within walking distance. I loved that there was a guard in the lot (although I always felt completely safe). I also loved that there was a washer and dryer in the condo. The kitchen was fully stocked, but no cooking for me on vacation!! The best part was that John was extremely responsive. E-mails were handled immediately, all of my questions were handled very quickly, and our security deposit was returned promptly. Be sure to check out the new zoo in Gulf Shores. It's small, but really, really nice! I wasn't a fan of the deep sea fishing experience though. :( Absolutely no complaints from us! Thanks John!

This was our first family trip to the Gulf Shores area and we loved it! Beautiful sand, nice weather, condo was clean and comfortable - and John was easy to work with - we hope to go back again - no complaints from our neck of the woods on this unit! We enjoyed dinner at Lulu's, Blue Dolphin Dolfin Watch - Bruno's had all the food stuff we needed at reasonable prices - and just hanging on the beach - Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us!

One of our most favorite and delightful weeks of the year was at Ocean House "Delight". The condo is beautifully decorated and is very well maintained. The keyless entry is a big plus because no keys to keep up with. Spectacular view and convenient to everything in Gulf Shores. The owner is very accomodating and I would highly recommend this condo to anyone that wants a home away from home.

My family and I usually stay in Orange Beach at one of the Phoenix Properties. This year we wanted a little change. So I looked around and I found Ocean House. What first attracted me to Ocean House was the huge pool-zero entry on both ends. Since we have young children who spend most of their time at the pool we figured this would be great-and it was!!! I searched VRBO at all the listings at Ocean House I and II and this unit attracted me the most. The decor was so warming and inviting, I just knew this was the place we had to have for our family vacation. It was everything I imagined and more!!! Everything you could possibly need while away from home!!! Very cozy, comfortable. Excellent view of the beach and pool!!!! John was great to deal with. When I had a question, he was quick to respond and always very pleasant!!!!! We will definitely be back! Looking forward to the next vacation here!!!!!!!!!

Our family had a great time at your condo in Guld Shores. We had never been to the area before and we were pleasantly surprised. Beautiful beach and not commericalized like so many other places we have been. The condo was very comfortable. Neigbors were loud and annoying in the early mornings but it was Spring Break. We look forward to staying there again sometime. Thank you.

Owner response:JL: Thank you for your comments .Gulf Shores is not a college spring break destination and that unchaperoned students are normally not allowed to rent - some must have sneaked between the cracks. Ocean House is a family-friendly property with on site guards and management. Hope to see you back soon!

We have been coming to Gulf Shores for nearly 30 years and rate this 2 bedroom Condo near the top. We were able to meet up with old friends and relatives in comfortable surroundings and being on the 4th floor was especially appealing to us. The pool was not exactly swimming temperature, however I'm sure it will be soon and looked to be in excellent condition. We would certainly consider renting again.

John's condo was perfect for our family - loved the ocean views off the balcony of the living room and front bedroom. Very comfortable accommodations - he has thought of everything! We really enjoyed Gulf Shores with the beautiful beach and close proximity to nice restaurants. Great area for cycling, trail running and the local recreation center off Hwy59 has a terrific indoor pool for lap swimming for a nominal fee. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation!

Perfect, Perfect, Perfect

This was our first time visiting Gulf Shores. We didn't know anything about the area and didn't have a clue where to stay. We brought our 17 month old daughter. This was her first beach vacation and I wanted to make sure EVERTHING was perfect. I found John's place on VRBO. Honestly, I made my choice by the pictures and write up. We LOVED the idea of the gorgeous zero entry pool. (What else would we do if our daughter decided she hated the ocean?) I wanted to make sure we were on the beach. Do you realize how much STUFF you wind up bringing out to the beach?!?! Who wants to walk across a busy road hauling STUFF AND KIDS?!?! It only costs a little bit extra to go first class and that's what John's place is. The location...PERFECT, the decor...PERFECT...the amenities...PERFECT. John was great to work with. He anwered my bazillion questions (again, first beach trip with our daughter. I had no idea what to expect!) All of my expectations were met. I even rented a crib from a great little company called Beach Babies. They worked with John's associate to have the crib ready for us before we arrived. It was just perfect. I do not have anything bad to say. AND the complex has carts for you to easily bring up your luggage or groceries or kids...ha, seriously, that was such a nice surprise...I am pretty sure I brought everything but the kitchen sink with us. The carts were an added bonus! Okay, the one thing I would have liked would have been a binder with John and his family's favorite restaurants, shops, butcher shop, wine store, etc. We went out and explored ourselves but I would have loved to have a guide of "Our Family's Favorites" And one more "perfect" thing...when you read beach view...he isn't joking. Not only is it beach view, you can open the curtains in the master suite and SEE the ocean from the bed AND even more important...YOU CAN HEAR the ocean. It is the most amazing sound just as you are going to bed after a perfect day spent with family and friends and when all is quiet...you hear the waves. Then in the morning...waves. We always enjoy staying at your condo, funishings are nice, especially the new flat screens! We really appreciate the comfortable patio chairs, we spend a lot of time out there in the mornings and evenings, I set up my laptop out there and worked from the balcony each day. My daughter loves the large pool, and the direct gulf front view is always great. This is a great place to relax and enjoy a week off. Don't let the fear of Oil keep you away!! We saw no sign or smell of oil at any time this week. The beach was as beautiful as every other year we have visited!

Great Beach Front Condo

We own a unit in this building and always rent this one when it is available when the rest of our family goes because it is well kept, kitchen very well stocked and beautifully decorated. The kids love the Nemo room and the full and twin bed are nice for an extra guest. This building is great as you walk right out to the pool and then to the beautiful white beaches. And the view from the 4th floor is perfect.

Hey John. After staying in your condo FOUR times now, we are just as pleased as the first. It wasn't availible for our dates last year and we were so dissappointed. Even with our family of five, there's plenty of room for the kids to bring a friend. The pool is the best around and we would not happier anywhere else. John, our stay in your condo was probably the best that we have had in a long time. We've been going to Gulf Shores with family for over 20 years and have stayed many different condos, but yours was one of the nicest. My daughter in-law said the decor was like you would have at home (not too "beachy"...very tasteful.) The Nemo room was perfect for them and the toddler. You furnished ample linens and kitchen ware. We wanted for nothing except another week to stay! We will definitely plan on it for next year and I will recommend it to anybody that wants a beautiful place to stay. I must say that your condo is at the top of our lists of places we have stayed before. The two girlfriends, who went with me, were very pleased also and kept saying I did good. We gave our friend, Cindy, who lost her husband last Oct. to an aneurysm, the master bedroom. She slept each night, peacefully, with the door open to hear the ocean roar. We had many talks, some with laughter and some with tears, on the balcony, while watching the ocean's waves and the performance of the dolphins. We ate at the Original Oyster House, King Neptune's, and Lambert's. My husband and I may take our grandchildren there this summer. I haven't looked, but maybe we can find a slot at your place that would work for us. We would love to visit again and would highly recommend your place. The only thing we had to complain about was, "You mean our time is up?!! We just got here!!!" :) Thanks again and God Bless you and your beautiful family, Gail

This is the nicest condo we have stayed in. It is our 7th year at Gulf Shores. The furnishings are great. We enjoyed the patio set on the balcony. My six year old got alot of use out of the DVD player.We are looking forward to coming back here next year!

I am a theatre manager and I deal in details every single day of my life. I am also the mother of a 2 1/2 year old and I deal with details every single moment I am not at work. I chose your condo because the details in the pics online. The tastefully decorated decor (love the contrast of colors/large scale items/zero clutter) really stood out online. I particularly chose it because of the "Nemo" room. Anyone who thinks of my 2 1/2 year old has got to have a great condo, and YOU DO! It is even better than the pics, and I have noticed many more details since being here (the palm tree clock,the fleur de lis patio set.)We had tons of choices, and I am so glad we chose you!
