Mandala Farm’s cottage is a newly constructed house, built as a traditional timber frame. The cottage has one bedroom with a queen size bed, a sitting room with a futon and a single bed, and a pull out couch in the livingroom. The bathroom has a tub and washer/dryer, there is a large sitting area with sofabed, a dining area and kitchen. Two French doors open from the sitting area onto a porch with a large deckwith a grill. The porch overlooks the farm and Jones Pond.
The cottage is located on our 100 acre organic farm. It is secluded from the hustle and bustle of farm life, but still overlooks the fields, pastures, gardens and beautiful Jones Pond. Guests are welcome to explore the farm and visit our animals which include: Norwegian Fjord draft horses, cashmere goats, sheep, chickens, cows, and pigs. We use our horses to plow and cultivate the gardens, pull wagons, and bring in the hay. We also raise foals each year who are usually playing in the fields near the cottage.
Farm fare is available for guests, including organic vegetables, meat, eggs, and flowers- what is available is dependent on the season.

We had a great week in this cottage with our three year old. The cottage is very attractive and well maintained. Our son loved pumping water for "our" cow Annabel who grazed right outside the door and spent many hours sitting on the tractors. We spent a couple days at the farm - walking down to the pond and feeding the animals - and several days visiting acadia, bar harbour, blue hill, etc. Very relazing vacation!

What a vacation! We are a group of students from Canada who were looking for a place to get away, relax and catch up on some work. Well we found relaxation but didn't get that much work done! The owners were incredibly welcoming, allowing us to wander their farm freely, we were even able to walk right up to the horses. Our privacy was respected and if we needed anything we knew we could walk up to the main house and ask for anything. At the end of the week we did not want to leave, we hope we have chance to go to this cottage again!

Just got home from a wonderful stay at this cottage in Maine. The cottage is charming, the view spectacular and the atmosphere relaxing. Close enough to Bar Harbor to make a day trip but far enough away to avoid the crowds entirely. Good restaurants close by or buy lobster from local fisherman and cook at the cottage. A trip to Schoodic peninsula is a must. All around pleasant experience.
