Claudia's cabin in the woods is the best escape for relaxing we could have dreamed of. The cabin is breathtaking while making you feel comfortably at home. It is an amazing escape for dog lovers and nature lovers alike. Claudia made our stay incredibly enjoyable (including her shared joy for our Beagle). This was the best decision for a weekend getaway!

We stayed at Claudia's cabin for a week with 2 dogs and had a great time. Claudia was so helpful and extremely friendly, we could not have asked for a better host. The house was wonderful and exactly what we needed. The property is prefect for the dogs and its a great location, secluded but easily accessible to everything the area as to offer. We definitely will go back at some point.

My wife and I stayed in this cabin in mid December and loved it. Claudia gave our stay a great personal touch, making sure we had everything we needed; but she didn't intrude on our privacy. The cabin and the area were both fantastic. We stayed in mid December and the snow was beautiful. There's lots to do around Stowe. I'd recommend this rental to anybody.

What a wondeful slice of heaven...Claudia's Cabin! We needed a break from the world and wanted to tuck away in a cozy cabin with a wood burning stove in Vermont. More importantly we had to bring our dogs. I didn't have to search far to find Claudia's listing and there were so many wonderful comments. They were all true. Claudia's warmth spilled over into the wonderful cabin that we stayed in. The more dogs the better she told us! The property is awesome, the cabin was warm and cozy and it was a nice treat to get away with our doggies for some downtime. Claudia is wonderful and she ensures that your stay is comfortable. We will be back!

We were looking for a wonderful quite spot tucked in the woods...a place we could take our doggies and just chill. We didn't have to look far for Claudia's Cabin. The place was incredibly warm and comfortable. The doggies just loved being able to make themselves at home. Claudia ensured that our stay was as comfortable as could be. She knew all the local places to enjoy good food and good people. If you need some time away from the world, consider Claudia's Cabin...the more dogs the better she says....my kinda place...thanks to Claudia for her warmth and hospitality. A true slice of heaven there...

My husband and I (and our dog Travis!) just returned from a getaway to Claudia's cabin. Not only was the cabin great - she's wonderful to boot! Lots of space and VERY clean! More impressive - we discovered SHE built the cabin herself and was in the midst of building another one while we were there! We couldn't have felt more welcomed. Very close to Stowe and lots of other charming Vermont towns. Lots of great hiking and outdoor activities close at hand. This was the first time we've taken our dog with us and we were quite nervous. He had an amazing time as well and now we're worried about how he'll react next time we go away and don't include him!!! We feel like we've made a friend with Claudia and hope to return in the future. If you want some peace and quiet in the woods but still be close to lots of things to do - this is THE place for you!

Claudia's cabin are incredibly wonderful wooden homes in the midst of woods, and now she is building a sauna on top of that! We have stayed in the cabin with the tree inside (yes! amazing and beautiful). It is very warm, cozy, with a heating stove in the living room and it made us feel like we wanted to stay here and enjoy the books and DVDs all day long! We did enjoy the snow however, in the woods behind the house, to sledge with the girls. Also,an amazing japanese bathroom and wooden bathtub that fits 2 - our girls referred to it as "the swimming pool". The cabins are both very romantic and kids-friendly. To me, this cabin is one of those places that have a soul... Claudia is a wonderful hostess, she will make sure your stay is most pleasant and you have everything you need - she even offered to babysit! If you can stay here, consider yourself lucky and enjoy!

This property and it's owner are truly a great find. The cabin was extremely comfortable and well-stocked. The location was perfect---set in the woods, very private, yet quite accessible to Stowe and Morrisville. We cross-country skied from the door, our dogs frolicked in deep snow, our boys had epic snowball battles when we weren't downhill skiing at Stowe or Smugglers Notch. The owner was very welcoming, friendly, accomodating and knowledgeable of the local area. Claudia, you're the best!

What a woinderful anniversary ski vacation we had. Claudia could not have been a better host. The cabin is beautiful, the pictures featured do not do it justice. All natural wood, with genuine birch tree railings, beams, handles...the works. If you have but one chance to go to northern Vermont, this is where you want to stay. Pets preferred, and you are going to feel at home. We highly recommended Claudia's cabin. We know we'll be back!!!

The property is very clean and well-maintained. It contains everything you need to cook, clean-up, and launder. It is very secluded. You do need to have a vehicle. The owner is extremely accomodating and welcoming. It is wooded but has a nice amount of clearing around the property itself. Wonderful for the doggies. Close to shopping, skiing, swimming holes, and many neighboring towns to explore. Will definitely be going back again and again.

Dearest Claudia, Thank you so much for a wonderful time. We have never had anyone be so accomodating to us in all the years we've come to the area. Your home is lovely and you know that it will always be our home away from home. Zoe really misses it too. We hope to see you again real soon. Love & Blessings, Your friends in NYC Guy, Steff & Zoe

We stayed in this fabulous cabin from 7/28 to 8/5 and wish we could have stayed forever. The cabin is clean, well stocked, hidden in the woods yet convenient to every thing. Claudia is as wonderful as her cabin - warm and welcoming to us and our brood of dogs. We immediately felt at home. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessities. Claudia's recommendations for restaurants, hiking trails and swimming holes were right on the money. She made us feel like locals. While there is no picture on the website the cabin has a fabulous wooden soaking tub in a zen like bathroom - not to be missed. Claudia also stocks her cabin with organic and earth friendly products that we fell in love with and ran out to buy. Give yourself this treat and rent this cabin!!! Thanks to Claudia for her incredible hospitality. All the Best, Barbara, Victor, Elvis, Bay and Sam

The best weekend ever!! Very relaxing. Me and my fiance haven't relaxed this much on vacation since a week vacation in St. Lucia. Claudia was there to greet us with open arms and made us feel at home before we even got out of the car!! WOW....The cabin was awesome! I could write so many things. Treat yourself and stay here, this place is amazing. The dogs loved the pasture a short snow shoe away from the cabin. They were lost amoung the 3 ft or so of snow that fell over the weekend. We are planning another trip for this summer for sure !!!

Our first trip to Stowe, Vermont was magical largely because of the comfort of our accomodation and the kindness of our hostess Claudia. Despite arriving after midnight, Claudia cheerfully greeted us personally and had the cabin warmed up and ready for us to settle in. The log cabin is romantically rustic - nestled in a lovely wood- it was delightful to sit in serene silence watching the snow falling on the trees. The cabin is very clean and although simple, tastefully furnished. The wood stove was perfect for warming us up and our hot cocoa. The cabin was nicely situated making trips to the town and the ski slope convenient. My family of 5 and dog enjoyed ourselves and were planning our return as we departed.

We had an absolutely perfect vacation at Claudia's cabin. Claudia is a wonderful, welcoming host -- and her positive energy is felt in every inch of her charming, clean, creative, comfortable and fun cabin. We explored lots of great forests and cross country skiing spots around Stowe, and found the forest in back of her cabin to be a a beautiful place to snowshoe. The tub was a real treat. It was especially nice to be able to bring our dog, Finnegan -- he loved his vacation as much as we did! Thanks, Claudia!!

We did not want to leave! The cabin exceeded our expectations in every way - from the birch tree post in the living room to a fully stocked kitchen to that wonderful cedar tub. The soft sounds at the end of each day of our 8-month old son asleep upstairs and our Labrador retriever snoring next to the warmth of the woodstove will forever be in our most fond memories of Vermont. Thanks again to Claudia for providing such a wonderful cabin.

Enjoyed the log cabin the first week of October, which was a peak week for fall foliage. The cabin and Claudia are both charming...a delightful place to stay and a very gracious and thoughtful host. The cabin is very cosy and inviting. It feels like you are in the woods of Vermont with no one around. Our dogs loved it and so did their people. Having the house stocked with a few groceries is definitely a plus. Try it, you'll love it.

We(three adults,my grandson, and my dog)are the first Japanese family stayed at Cluadia's cabin. Based on my 7-year experience in the US,I am very confident of saying that Claudia's is the best cabin I ever stayed in this country. Reasons are; 1. The cabin is very clean and well-organized. Its Japanese-style wooden bathtub gave us fully relaxing time. Its wel-designed kitchen provided us with joyful dinner time. 2.The owner,Claudia, is very friendly and courteous. Believe or not, she had prepared a kid bicycle for my grandsan, so the 5-year old boy became a good rider during our 5-day stay. 3. The nature surrounding the cabin is excellent. It is a nice place for kids and dogs to play freely and safely. We enjoyed our summer vacation at Claudia's cabin with full satisfaction. I am thinking of next visit this fall or winter.

All of us (two women and three dogs) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Claudia's charming and unique cabin. It was comfortable and cozy, yet offered us plenty of space to stretch out inside and out. We loved the fact that we were off the beaten path but close to town and the dogs loved the fact that they could explore off leash without worrying about busy roads or annoying nearby neighbors with their rollicking behavior. Claudia was a wonderful hostess and anticipated what we needed even before we did! We can't wait to return. Rosemary, Matrix (the dog) and their pals. Alexandria, VA

Me, my wife our 2 girls and our dog had a great time at the cabin. The cabin is perfectly located with enough privacy and at the same time close access to town. The girls loved walking thru the woods, the wife loved lazing on the hammock. The cabin is well decorated and the cedar hot tub was a hit! Claudia is very personable and made us feel at home from the minute we met her. Overall a great stay and I am sure we will return soon.

My family (2 little Yorkies included) thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Claudia's cabin. It's like no other log cabin that I have seen - such personality! Ohh, and the master bathroom tub is amazing! The dogs loved their own little play area. But, the best part about it is how Claudia makes you feel right at home in her home!

The cabin is new and very nice inside. The kitchen contains all the little things you don't want to have to bring with you on vacation. Claudia, the owner, is great to work with. And, unlike other places where dogs are allowed, the fenced in yard of this cabin lets you know dogs are welcome here!

As a dog lover and owner of three lively Jack Russell terriers, being able to spend a week at Claudia's Cabin in May 2006 was nothing short of finding buried treasure! First of all, this is a gem tucked into the woods yet only minutes away from every convenience you might desire. The unique and creative interior design of this rental property is unbelievable and something you will enjoy telling your friends about! I spent my days exploring the Vermont countryside and was always happy to pull into the driveway of this cabin at the end of a busy day. It really felt like home! My dogs loved the freedom of being able to play in a fenced yard and I loved the fact that I did not have to put them in a boarding kennel. When I first arrived, I was greeted warmly by the owner who had even purchased some goodies for me so that I was not coming into a house with an empty refrigerator. Talk about being treated well! I will definitely make plans to return to this very magical place. No matter which season you choose, there is a good time waiting for you!
