  We stayed at the condo from Sept.21 - 24th of 2012. We had a wonderful time! The pictures on the website don't come close to the actual beauty and size of the place. It was exceptionally clean and spacious for our stay. We had 11 people with us and only one person slept on a air mattress. The view from the balcony is breathtaking, as I took many pictures of the sun setting. The condo is within walking distance to many places to eat and shop. The weather during September also made our stay wonderful. Laying out on the beach without sweating was incredible! The air-conditioning was quite adequate as well as the water heater. With 11 people we never ran out of hot water. Having the washer and dryer available also helped out. We had everything washed up and ready to put away when we got home. Thanks Alan for letting us have the best vacation experience in ten years. We will rebook for next September.

  Our family just returned from a week staying at this condo. Everything is just as pictured, only better when actually sitting on the balcony listening to the waves or watching the stars. Summer Place is located in close walking proximity to the Okaloosa Island Boardwalk, restaurants, and easy driving distance to Ft. Walton and Destin. Everyone in our family said they would like to rent this unit again next year. The pools were never busy, the elevators were always in working condition with no wait, and parking was never an issue. Our week went by way too quickly. Reservations were made through Allan, and all questions were answered promptly. Floyd's Shrimp House, Anglers, High Tide, Waffle House, Pandora's, Helen Back,and Old Bay Steamer were in walking distance for us. Fudpuckers (across the street) closed on the 8th to move to another location on Okaloosa Island a little further east of Summer Place. Pontoon boat and jet ski by the High Tide was easy to rent. A guided fishing trip on the bay picked us up at the same little dock by High Tide one day. No one has to leave the island to find things to do or places to eat, but seems like we always end up over in Destin a few times for dining and/or shopping. The beach was beautiful, waves were rough some days, but the pools were both great for staying cool. Love this area of our country!

  Loved the condo and the beach! The condo gets a extra star for having a Krueig Coffee Pot. The place was nice and clean. Loved the big balcony. I would recommend getting a new bedspread in the master bedroom and the queen bedroom as they are beginning to come unravelled. Allan was who I worked with securing this property and he was great! I will try to rent this unit if and when I go back to the Fort Walton Beach/Destin area.

• Great condo

  We were an extended family of 9---5 adults and 4 kids. This condo was the perfect fit for us. Plenty of room, well stocked kitchen and enough bathrooms! The condo was still being cleaned when we arrived at the check-in time but we explored the grounds and walked the beach. Went back about 40 minutes later and the unit was ready. Very nice having the large carts to handle all our luggage and supplies. I had read some complaints from guests concerning the elevators and how long the wait was---this was only a "problem" during the Saturday check-in when it was so busy---other than that day, there was rarely a wait. The unit was very clean and well decorated. There were kids beach items in the closet---skim and boogie boards, noodles and a couple of extra chairs to use. Also there is the beach chair service which set up an umbrella and 2 chairs for us each day. We had also brought beach chairs and noodles with us so there was plenty. The beach had a lot of brown seaweed like stuff on it and in the water but that did clear up somewhat after a few days. Maybe there had been a storm? Allan was so prompt in responding to my questions and so easy to communicate with. We only had a minor issue during the week with the water pressure and a call to Sally, at the main desk, promptly fixed that. Both pools were great and never over crowded. The hot tub usually had little kids in it though. Very convenient having a restroom by the pool for our grandkids. We had a great seafood dinner at the Crab Shack (no problem seating 9 people immediately) on the Ft Walton boardwalk and twice grilled some delicious burgers on the charcoal grill. The kids loved the Gulfarium but it was very hot the day we went and they wilted fast! Also the miniature golf across from the Gulfarium was a fun course. We spent close to 2 hours at the fishing pier. It cost $2 a person (if over 3 yrs) to walk out on the pier. The kids really enjoyed watching all the people fish and spotting dolphins. One man let the little kids reel in some bait fish using his rod. A lot of fun for them! We were disappointed in the lack of shells on the beach. I think another towel bar in the master bath would be nice and maybe hooks in all the baths. There was plenty of closet space in all the bedrooms but few clothes hangers. We had only brought a few. Very few "negatives"-nothing that would keep us from enjoying this condo again. It was a wonderful vacation! Thank you, Allan.

  Alan and family, thank you for the use of the beautiful condo. Family of five arrived first, then three 18 year olds for a few days. Friend with twin six year olds for four days, with a couple of adult friends flying down twice in two weeks. Much confusion but there was always enough room for everybody. Resturants, nightclubs, Gulfarium and Pier within easy walking distance. Publix within 2 minute drive, nice. The nicest part was the uncrowded beach even with maximum capacity at condo. It was so nice to be able to keep an eye on the little ones at all times while relaxing under the provided beach setup. Thanks

  Thank you so much for the use of your condo we absolutely loved it! It was extemely clean and decorated to feel like home. We couldn't have asked for a nicer condo. You were so easy to work with and made booking it a breeze. Our kids had an excellent time. They loved the pool area and the beach being right there. There is nothing I would have changed about this trip and the ease of working with you. Thank you again. We had great vacation.
