Only "WOW" could describe how we felt about this place. We live in San Jose, Califorina which is about 5 hours drive from Tahoe. We have stayed in a few places at Tahoe areas before. This is the best we have ever stayed. The house is conveniently located with easy access to shopping, skiing, gambling, etc. It is also perfectly situated at a quiet neighborhood. The backyard view is so astonishing that I emailed pictures to my friends and got replies in an hour with “Where is this place? I want to book it. ”. On the day we were leaving the house, I called Carl to try to book my next trip!! A good review has to have some suggestions.:-) - I will suggest a little table on the backyard so we can put our coffee mugs. We were sitting in the backyard watching sunset for a while and really needed a place to put the mug. - A kettle will be nice addition for boiling waters for hot tea. Last but not least, Carl, thank you for renting your place to us (A family with four people plus four Shih Tzu).

My husband and I brought our 2 1/2 year old lab up to Tahoe for a long weekend of mountain biking & relaxing. We could not have chosen a better home! The house is beautifully decorated, remodeled and maintained with every amenity you could need. The location is so peaceful, backing to a quiet lagoon where the ducks swim up every morning. Our dog had the time of her life - she jumped straight in after them the first chance she got! The home was in close proximity to everything we needed - groceries, bike shop, restaurants, the casinos, and awesome mountain biking trails. We will definitely be back!

We had a great time at the cabin. it was clean quiet and the lake in the back was awesome to watch the ducks and people fishing, or playing in the water. The room set up was not for singles but was more for families, that was a little difficult but it was cozy to have sleep overs for adults in the bunk beds and twin beds. We had an elderly family member on the trip, the downstairs bedroom, with bathroom was perfect (no climbing stairs)The owner is very friendly and kind and provided good customer service. WE had several different cell phone companies represented during the stay and the only draw back was we could not get good reception inside the cabin; outside was not much better, but eventually someone would get a connection (dont move smile)The property is located in a residential area but once you see the back you would think you were in the woods by a lake !!! really nice property well worth the money. We will come again during coming months. We shopped at safeway and Raeley's; there is a Kmart near by and a small outlet mall just around the corner. We were in town for a wedding and we ate at MacDuff's Public House (Awesome French Fries and Burgers) ironically, the reception was held at the same resturant, they have excellent service and very friendly management and owners. There is a Marina nearby with activities to parttake in, however due to the wedding we did not engage in many fo the amentities offered.

This house is not a house it is a home with all the little touches that make it special. With Bose speakers and a gas fireplace that sets the mood to a great time. The hot tub is hot and clean. The kitchen is set up for cooking and entertainment without being excluded from everyone. Carl the owner is very hands on and makes sure everything is ok.This property is easy to find and the view of the lagoon is a very nice touch. My family really enjoyed our stay and we invite to experience what we did.. A very relaxing enjoyable time in Tahoe!!! Enjoy

This past New Years Eve, myself and 7 friends headed to Tahoe and stayed at this cabin which was perfect! Great location, right on the lake but close to downtown and the slopes. It was beautiful in the winter, could imagine that it was just as beautiful in the summer. The house was adorable, very cute and modern with a home feeling. There was plenty of room for us all! Everything was fully stocked with cooking utensils which was great for home cooked meals. We were able to relax in front of the fire, enjoy the snow outside, and have a great vacation. I definitely recommend this cabin to everyone to rent, great location, beautiful scenery, great cabin!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the cabin. We've been visiting Tahoe for over 20 years and have stayed in many different homes and this was THE BEST ONE! The cabin is very cozy, warm, clean, new and perfectly laid out, with incredible views. It has a very peaceful feel to it. The owner, Carl is such a nice / kind person, makes sure you have everything you need and open to any comments you may have. I have to say, it was one of our best family vacations and we will definitely contact Carl for our future trips. I have considered buying a place for a long time, but no more, cause the this cabin feels like it's our own :) Thank you Carl, you're the best! Hila, Brisbane, CA

We enjoyed a wonderful week "on the pond"! This home had everything we needed...and then some. We had a frequent visitor in the late evenings...Ronnie the raccoon. He was a very smart and talented creature that figured out how to open a closed/locked garbage can (he really likes bologna!). A bear took a stroll by the lagoon mid-morning one day and the sounds of the coyotes could be heard on a few evenings! If we weren't so warm and comfortable in this lovely home I would think I was camping! The kitchen opens up to the living room with a beautiful view of the lagoon. It was a good thing because with five teenage boys to feed I was a permanant fixture there! We spent a lot of time by the lagoon...fishing, floating, kayaking and reading. It was very peaceful. Carl was a great host. When we arrived the lights and TV were on to welcome us as well as a basket of candy (sorry, I don't think there was much left!!). He gave us a great recommendation for Pizza (Lake Tahoe Pizza Company) and The Fresh Ketch (near the boat dock at Tahoe Keys). I would recommend this home and we intend to return in the future! Thanks again!

The cabin was beautiful, clean and had all the amenities needed. The spa was incredible overlooking the water. Plus, we were able to sit right by the water and watch the sun set sipping our wine, was a spectacular view at night. Would definitely rent the cabin again!! Thank you :)

I recently stayed here for a few days with some friends and all of us agreed this house was in a great location, better than its pictures, and would be our first choice when we come back next time. The owner, Carl, is also a pleasure to deal with and very helpful. Highly recommended.

This place is fabulous! We stayed for Thanksgiving and loved it so much that we returned 3 weeks later for Christmas. This is one of the few vacation rentals that feels as comfortable as home - not your typical "mix-match" vacation rental. The cabin remodel is beautifully done with higher-end finishes, furnishings and decor are new and stylish, and the kitchen is stocked with everything imaginable. The place is super clean, in a great neighborhood, with a serene, beautiful lagoon view. Don't miss this one!

These people at Buckingham Properties are fantastic! Everyone was helpful and friendly. They respond immediately to every request. The pictures don't do the home justice. This place is fabulous - from the Calvin Klein towels to the Italian cookware - all the amenities more than met our expectations. It was exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. The beds were very comfortable. They thought of everything - a hand-crocheted blanket for the couch - 2 "bear rugs" - plenty of games - lots of books - an information book answering every question you could have about the property and about the Tahoe area - a clean hot tub - complimentary coffee - wireless internet access - beautiful view - fireplace. I could go on and on. It was perfect. We hated to leave. This will be our number 1 choice from now on.
