Le Castel is a luxurious Napoleon III chateau with just six ensuite bedrooms. There is also a self catering gite/cottage in the grounds with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. You can hire anything from one room to accommodation for 19 people - all ensuite. Le Castel is ideal for parties or weddings - it has a great house party atmosphere. It is available on a self catering basis or with part catering. Le Castel is set in four acres of parkland, near the cathedral city of Coutances. Beautiful beaches are 20 minutes away. Top tourist sights include the D Day Beaches (25 minutes away), Mont St Michel (75 mins), Bayeux Tapestry (45 mins). Tours in our Mercedes mini bus can be arranged. Evening meals can be served at the chateau by candle light or under the stars on the terrace.
Le Castel is an hour from the ferry ports of Caen and Cherbourg. It is two hours by train from Paris. Le Castel has two friendly llamas, who love being taken for walks by guests. Le Castel is also home to four very friendly Burmese cats. Le Castel has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere - it is like staying with friends. Enjoy a fully catered break in the chateau or have the freedom of self catering in the gite or the main chateau.
